I have hands-on experience with Huntress as a consultant and a reseller. I deal with some competitors as well, but I mainly focus on Huntress.
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
I deal with Adlumin Security Operations a little bit and then SentinelOne, but SentinelOne is somewhat different. We do not use the SOC offering, so we rely on Huntress for security reports. SentinelOne provides the basic MDR, but the MDR part of it is really done by Huntress.
Adlumin Security Operations has a better reporting structure and slightly better pricing, but they are very similar. Adlumin allows for more integrations into their system versus Huntress. I believe the acquisition that N-able did was a good strategic move, but the support quality might not be as good now.
What needs improvement?
I see room for improvement. I would want to improve reporting.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with Huntress products for about a year.
How are customer service and support?
If another vendor were to acquire Huntress, my rating might change to "good" because their support is currently excellent. However, if this were to change, the quality might drop, similar to what happened with Adlumin Security Operations after their recent acquisition.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Negative
How was the initial setup?
We normally focus on Huntress. We have started with Adlumin Security Operations a little and deployed it for a number of sites, but we keep them on that site to compare their performance and leave ourselves open to switching back if necessary. Therefore, new customers would sign up for Huntress rather than Adlumin Security Operations just because we support it.
The implementation for Adlumin Security Operations was straightforward, but Huntress is better integrated with Office 365. Adlumin Security Operations's functionality is probably slightly better, but implementation and integration with Office 365 was not as straightforward.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Adlumin Security Operations has a better reporting structure and slightly better pricing, but they are very similar. Adlumin Security Operations allows for more integrations into their system versus Huntress.
What other advice do I have?
I rated Adlumin Security Operations probably the same as Huntress at eight. They are better at reporting and better integrations. The integrations in terms of the number of integrations you can run from them or connect to are not as many as available with Huntress, but they have easier implementation. Overall, I would say it is the same.
I do not want to see any additional features in the next release of Adlumin Security Operations, but I would change the pricing a little bit for around SIEM integrations and SIEM data collection. That is probably the maximum I would do. I do not really have much to say because that is literally five percent of our deployments versus ninety-five percent being Huntress. My overall rating for this review is eight.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
On-premises
