What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Assembly Copilot is in a primary manufacturing team where we use Vision AI for hardware assembly to automate quality checks and reduce the field failures.
In my daily work, I use Assembly Copilot similarly to Vision AI for hardware, utilizing servers, networking gears, and IoT devices to automate the quality checks.
What is most valuable?
The best features Assembly Copilot offers include real-time operator guidance via displays, lights, and projectors, which helps to prevent any errors with automatic cycle timing and grading against ideal workflows, as well as impressive video traceability for root cause analysis.
I find myself relying most on the feature that reduces rework, as it helps reduce scrap and compliance issues by intervening only when errors are imminent, improving yield and quality without slowing the operators.
Assembly Copilot positively impacts my organization by providing actionable data for engineers to balance lines, identify waste, and compare performance across shifts, which accelerates process improvement.
What needs improvement?
Assembly Copilot can be improved with a clearer return of investment calculator and easier scaling across global factors to help enterprise adoption beyond early adopters.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Assembly Copilot for around six months.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Assembly Copilot is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The scalability of Assembly Copilot is great.
How are customer service and support?
The customer support is perfect, providing 24/7 assistance.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I did not previously use a different solution.
How was the initial setup?
My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is that the setup cost, which includes the one-time camera and installation, tool integration, and initial training, is a low barrier as it uses existing webcams and plug-and-play devices. However, the pricing is not publicly listed and focuses on subscription per line, and I believe more public view and proper pricing would help further.
What was our ROI?
I have seen a return on investment as the errors were reduced, so defects were reduced leading to fewer returns and scrap, and there is a faster root cause analysis, so overall time is saved.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Before choosing Assembly Copilot, I did not evaluate other options.
What other advice do I have?
My advice to others looking into using Assembly Copilot is that it will really help you to reduce defects and increase overall processing time, so go for it.
I have observed a strong reduction in errors due to Assembly Copilot, which aids in faster root cause analysis and results in higher throughput payback often within months for high-volume assemblies. I would rate this product 9 out of 10.
