Atlassian SourceTree Reviews Summary
Author infoRatingReview Summary
dev op engineer at a retailer with 11-50 employees3.5I use SourceTree for visual Git management, especially for understanding branch structures and avoiding merge disasters, which offers significant ROI for my team. It's a free tool that aids developers, though performance could improve.
Expert Software Engineer at a tech vendor with 10,001+ employees3.5I primarily use Git Bash and Git UI, but my team relies on Atlassian SourceTree for project management, benefiting from its Agile features and conflict resolution tools. However, many are shifting to Visual Studio Code due to its dual functionalities.
Coach Agile Architecture & DevOps at Sistemas Humanos4.5I used Atlassian SourceTree for integration demos with tools like Jira and GitLab. The branches graph feature was invaluable, allowing me to manage branches without a terminal. It efficiently handled large projects, although I couldn't determine a specific ROI.
Software Engineer at a computer software company with 5,001-10,000 employees4.0In my company, we use Atlassian SourceTree for code management due to its user-friendly interface compared to GitHub's CLI. While it effectively supports code pushes and pulls, its UI and message display can benefit from enhancements to improve user experience.
Vice President at SPECIALIZED PRODUCTS & SVC.2.5As a new programmer, I find Atlassian SourceTree's interface complicated and less accessible. When compared to GitKraken, I prefer GitKraken's simpler information presentation, which suggests SourceTree could benefit from improvements in usability for a better user experience.
Program Manager/Engineer at a government with 10,001+ employees4.0I use SourceTree for fixing broken Git repositories and merges, finding its visual interface better than command line for emergencies. Although stable, I prefer the command line for daily use due to cost and inconvenience.
ETL Developer at INGENIERIA 21 SAS4.5I use Atlassian SourceTree to manage source code from various environments, effectively merging developers' codes. It's reliable and easy to use with Bitbucket, but the user interface needs improvement. I haven't used other solutions or cloud providers.
Dynamic Engineering Manager at a computer software company with 10,001+ employees4.5I've used Atlassian SourceTree for a year. It's a stable, free, and easy-to-install client for Bitbucket code management. Its good, intuitive interface simplifies tracking commits and differences. I rate it 9/10.
Software Developer at a tech company with 501-1,000 employees2.5I appreciate its efficient conflict resolution, intuitive branching, and clear test summaries. While it performs well, I feel the UI needs improvement, especially the console and branch organization, and it struggles with scalability for very large datasets.

I like the way that the number of changes waiting for a 'pull' or a 'push' appear next to the icons. It is not always so easy to find the functionality you are looking for.
