For several tenants, we need to manage a total of nearly 200 queue managers, and each queue manager has approximately 100 queues, aliases, etc. We run the queue managers on Windows Server in four operating centers.

I like Infrared360's platform independence, the fact that it is 100% web compliant and it can support external services like LDAP, Web Services, Java Services, Alert Services, databases and other messaging services. Infrared360 can be accessed from any location via web browser without applets or servlets. Regarding security, the user can access all permitted platforms using a single user ID. It provides complete historic audit trail and the user can see only what he is permitted to see and do only what he is permitted to do.

Easy to deploy, add users, and migrate. Extremely responsive to all of our questions.
We were one of the first to use Infrared360 and from a customer service standpoint, we still feel like their only customer because they are extremely responsive to all of our questions, issues, and enhancement requests. Having had extensive experience in management and monitoring solutions, I can tell you what I REALLY love about Infrared360:
1. It is EASY to deploy and I don't have to deal with any agents or code on each server running a qmgr or web server that I want to monitor and manage.
2. It is EASY for me to add users and to control what they have access to and what level of access they have to any given environment or object.
3. I have migrated the server to 3 different web server platforms because of changes in our enterprise. The migrations were always easy to accomplish and Avada support has been with us every step of the way.
4. It is EASY to update server releases, whether interim releases or full releases. I have been thru 2 full release upgrades and they were relatively pain free and introduced additional value and functionality that made it well worth the effort.
5. We were able to LDAP enable our Infrared360 login with very little trouble. Again, Avada support worked with us every step of the way to make sure we got things working the way we needed to.
6. No end user client installs. Being able to use your favorite web browser is a big plus and I don't have to worry about installing and maintaining 120+ desktops so that our developers, testers and administrators can access their MQ environments in a meaningful and secure way.

Role-based access to queues, giving us more insights into problems
Pros and Cons
- "It has role-based access to queues, giving us more insights into problems."
- "We desire a dashboard that could accumulate BOQ lengths per tenant on one screen for all tenants."
What is our primary use case?
How has it helped my organization?
- We now have the possibility of getting a central perspective on all tenants.
- We have defined access roles for developers. Therefore, they can 'read in' their queues on the development and testing stages. With special roles, they may also write. This improves our development and testing cycle.
- For operative systems, we have restricted the access. Still, selected people can react if something is happening in the various BOQs.
What is most valuable?
- Role-based access to queues, giving us more insights into problems.
- Ease of use: Everything runs in a browser. Thus, it can be used by all interested parties.
What needs improvement?
- We definitely need a better overview in terms of a dashboard giving us insights. It should also provide insights to our management.
- We desire a dashboard that could accumulate BOQ lengths per tenant on one screen for all tenants.
For how long have I used the solution?
One to three years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
No problems.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Till now, no Problems.
How are customer service and technical support?
They react if something is problematic. We found a little bug, and it was corrected in the next release. They also have very responsive communications.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Our company did not use a previous solution.
How was the initial setup?
With a Little support from Avada Software, very straightforward.
What about the implementation team?
We implemented with in-house via telephone support by Avada.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Start small, then increase licensing later as per your demand.
What other advice do I have?
Getting contact to product manager and architects of Avada software can be done quickly and in direct sessions. For us, a big help and advantage.
