We use the solution to protect our email, domain, and users against spear phishing, spamming, malware, and malicious attacks regarding attachments and URLs.

The most valuable features are filtering and rate controlling. They are good and are required to avoid having low IP, email, and domain reputations.

Sometimes, Barracuda Blacklist blocks the general IP list from the source domains. They block the genuine sources, too.

I have been using Barracuda Email Security Gateway as an integrator for two years.

The product is 100% stable.

The solution is very much scalable. We have ten customers in the Middle East and five customers in India.

The customer support is very good compared to other solutions.

We’ve used Mimecast before. We had a support issue that we couldn't resolve. Barracuda offered a more scalable and cost-effective solution with the features and support we needed.

The initial setup is very easy, compatible to manage, and takes a maximum of three hours to complete.

Since we are using MP65, we procure the SaaS model. We generally follow the same process for SaaS to deploy the solution.

We’ve already invested 100 Euros, roughly 10lakh rupees, and received 30-50% ROI.

I recommend the solution, especially for email security, load balancing, and journaling.

Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

One advantage is its immediate deployment capability. So, the fast speed to deploy is a big plus point. 

Another plus is the broad security coverage provided by the Barracuda email security gateway, which shares the same approach to security events as the firewall. This can help improve the security of the MRA system.

There is room for improvement in the speed of the interface; specifically, the cloud interface is a bit slow. I work exclusively in the cloud and not on-premises. The cloud interface is quite slow, especially when you're searching or navigating between menus.

So, in the future, I'd like to see a faster interface.

I have been working with this solution for 10 to 12 years. 

Stability has never been an issue with the cloud, so I'd rate it a nine out of ten.

Scalability is a nine out of ten because it's in the cloud, and it can scale and improve the solution immediately.

Around eight to ten companies use it, and there are possibly thousands of protected email addresses.

We have five engineers involved in maintenance, and our help desk team consists of the same individuals.

I would rate the pricing a seven out of ten, where one is expensive, and ten is low price. Compared to other products, this solution is quite affordable. 

I also work with the proxy and some IoT devices that have been introduced in the last one or two years. Barracuda has recently released a new IoT device. Additionally, I resell and offer security applications in the cloud. Barracuda has different solutions for Microsoft Office 365, such as email filtering. Both of these solutions are ones I'm familiar with and offer to my customers.

I would definitely recommend using this solution. Overall, I would rate the solution a nine out of ten. It's better than the appliance and firewall solutions.

In Barracuda Email Security Gateway, a cloud protection layer spools emails for 96 hours. When your email server recovers from downtime, all the emails will be shown in your inbox. Barracuda Email Security Gateway has a good feature of email spooling, which acts as a first line of security.

The solution also has the ATP cloud control option, which is directly connected to the cloud, works fast, and has all the signatures worldwide. Barracuda Email Security Gateway protects from zero-day attacks and zero-hour attacks. It detects attacks from all around the world about to happen in an hour.

Few customers require an on-premises fabric ATP box for attack detection and response. These customers are government organizations that don't want their data to be on-cloud.

I have been working with Barracuda Email Security Gateway as a reseller and distributor for more than three to four years.

Since Barracuda Email Security Gateway is a stable solution, people prefer it and also go for upgradeable versions.

Most of our clients are enterprise-level businesses. We also provide the solution to businesses with 50 to 100 users. Barracuda Email Security Gateway can be offered to big enterprises or the financial sector with sensitive data and clients with 10 to 15 users.

Barracuda Email Security Gateway is deployed for our customers on-premises, on-cloud, and as a hybrid solution.

We have the solution on-cloud, on-premises, virtual, and hardware. In Pakistan, most people use Barracuda Email Security Gateway in the financial sector and big enterprises. Our customers are more than satisfied with Barracuda Email Security Gateway and have used it for the last 13 to 14 years in Pakistan.

It's easy to use. The configuration and web interface are user-friendly. The spam filter and other features work well.

Barracuda Email Security Gateway helps me filter many emails each day. The tool for sending emails is easy to configure. In my company, we send a high volume of emails daily. Barracuda system is useful.

The most valuable feature is the spam filter.

Barracuda should have a sandbox feature in the appliances. That's the only thing missing. In my company, we have four appliances, and we have to use a third-party brand for sandboxing.

Moreover, sometimes phishing emails still pass through, which is a drawback. I would say it's about 80% to 90% effective.

I have been working with this solution for seven years. We have deployed it on VMware. Moreover, we are using Barracuda Email Security Gateway 400.

Stability is a ten.

I rate the scalability of Barracuda an eight out of ten.

The initial setup was easy. I had to change all the appliances in the past due to a hardware refresh, but configuring the new appliances was easy.

It's a good investment. We've seen a significant return on investment.

In my opinion, I only have experience with Barracuda so I might recommend it. But, I would suggest exploring other options as well, like Microsoft, to have a better understanding.

The price of the solution should be reduced. The price in the USA is less than where we are. Our local distributor of the solution is manipulating the market. 

The price of the solution can range from €6,000 to €23,000. The on-premise version is expensive. However, if it is on the cloud the price is better.

The price is approximately 30 percent more than others on the market.

If the solution is configured correctly then the maintenance is low. We are able to check the solution for our customers. We use two people for the maintenance if needed.

I'm still new to the Barracuda. We're using the Email Security Gateway, however, I'm not sure about the cloud, or the archive capabilities. It's a new system for me. 

Email security has been quite helpful. It acts as a protector, especially for the inbound emails every day. I can see if there are a lot of phishing emails or scam emails being blocked by the system. That's very important for the company. The organization is so big, and with so many emails coming in, having it as the first line of defense is great.

The interface is good, and it offers good integrations. 

The solution offers very good email security. It protects us from spam and scam emails. 

It offers good visibility of any potential threats trying to enter the system.

The initial setup should be straightforward.

It is cloud-based.

So far, the solution has been stable. 

We find the product to be scalable. 

The pricing is a little bit high, and it is causing the company to rethink renewal. If they could lower the pricing, that would be ideal. 

I'm still pretty new to the solution. I haven't used it for that long. 

I haven't heard of the term having issues with reliability. It is stable. There are no bugs or glitches, and it doesn't crash or freeze. 

The solution is scalable. It's easy to expand.

I have experience with Mimecast. I used it about two or three years ago. Barracuda is a bit different from Mimecast. I recall Mimecast having good integration with Microsoft 365 Exchange Online. We used it to protect email and block malware mostly. 

I'm new to the company. I wasn't involved in the initial setup of the product. That said, my understanding is that it is straightforward. 

I don't deal with the licensing and can't speak to the exact cost of the solution. 

We are customers and end-users, not partners.

We are using Barracuda Email Security Gateway for ATP,  anti-spam, antivirus, and everything related to enabling flow.

The most valuable feature of the Barracuda Email Security Gateway is the ATP.

Barracuda Email Security Gateway can improve reporting and anti-spam. The anti-spam engine is not working well. We are seeing a lot of problems where spam is going through the gateway. Additionally, access privilege should be given to the IT support, because they don't have a lot of privileges. We are forced to give our IT support administrative access in order to clear and deliver emails and this should not be happening.

In the future, having a schedule reporting for quarantine for all users or for selected users, without reading the content of the message would be helpful.

I have been using Barracuda Email Security Gateway for approximately five years.

Barracuda Email Security Gateway is stable. We had issues with the on-premise version where they used to freeze from time to time, but with the cloud version, we have not had any issues.

We used Barracuda Email Security Gateway partners to complete the implementation of the solutions.

The price of Barracuda Email Security Gateway is approximately $17 per user annually.

We did not evaluate another solution prior to selecting Barracuda Email Security Gateway.

We chose the solution because it was high on the rating sites and some of my friends from other companies recommend it.

My advice to others is to make sure that their business use case is well optimized, to allow the solution to be set up in the right way.

We are a construction company and we make sure that the emails related to construction pass through the solution. Other companies, such as in marketing, will want to make sure that the marketing campaign passes through. We don't want any marketing campaigns to pass through. You need to see your business use case and your business needs, and you will have to adapt the solution.
