We use it both as our core internal case management platform and CRM. But we've also embedded it into a couple of products we provide. We set it up as an agile base development platform, customer service platform, and basic customer management platform. So the ability to set up folders and link those folders gives a hierarchy, with workspace, space folder, and then the list within folders.

A user-friendly cloud-based CRM platform that needs to improve its dashboard and reporting functionality
Pros and Cons
- "We found it very simple and intuitive to use...The initial setup is straightforward."
- "The cloud-based solution can get bugs in it occasionally, causing latency and loading issues."
What is our primary use case?
How has it helped my organization?
With the help of ClickUp, we can now organize the work and look at schedules. So we organize our work where we have clients, clients have projects within those projects, and there are tasks. We don't set due dates, so we use them for scheduling and time booking for all our development staff. We also use dependencies within to get our daily schedule together because there are two parts to our business.
One is where we're doing crime compliance and finance for larger clients, and then we have a community portal where we've embedded the CRM in the middle of that. And within that, it's a very fast-moving environment because we've got about twenty people using it. The amount of work from those is lots of very small, rapid work, and it's been invaluable for helping us manage our resources daily.
What is most valuable?
We found it very simple and intuitive to use, cost-effective, and provides decent single client relation views and analytics of the back-end. We also build our extraction tools from there.
What needs improvement?
Some improvement in the reporting and dashboarding would be very helpful, as also the relationships across different folder types that ClickUp has. It will enhance the ability to be more intuitively linked to a set of folders, a set of customers versus a set of folders, a set of products, and the ability to relate those two together and build transactions between them. That is missing in ClickUp, presently. I want ClickUp to be as intuitive as Salesforce.

For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using ClickUp for over twelve months.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The stability of the product is okay. It is not better or worse than Salesforce. I rate it six out of ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It has some issues with scalability. The cloud-based solution can get bugs in it occasionally, causing latency and loading issues. But it's the biggest implementation as we've got about thirty users running on a place alone. Fifteen users in our business are using the solution. In our clients, we've got probably a couple of hundred across, but they're on different workspaces because we deploy in the SME sector for our clients, and they've got an average user base of between five and fifteen.
I rate it six out of ten.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
For project management, we used Jira. We were previously using Salesforce, and we still integrate into Salesforce. But we try to avoid it as much as possible. ClickUp is way, way easier to set up and scale. It doesn't require specialist knowledge to work with it. Compared to ClickUp, Jira is complicated. It's only a single product but a hotchpotch of things if you know what you're doing.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is straightforward. The initial setup took a couple of days to get operational, and then we added features on our different processes onto it. So we got the structure in a couple of days. The only thing we're still looking to put in is detailed time sheets for people. We'll bring that in soon.
But the timesheet system is what we're doing in pieces.
End to end is probably a week, but that week is over several months as we're getting one piece, breaking it down, and doing something else. I rate it eight out of ten.
We have two workspaces. We got a prototype workspace where we model the design, work around what we want to achieve, and create an up-front user flow design. We test that with sample data and recreate it in a production environment. Because when we're doing a release out to our client base, we want to ensure that anything we're doing does not only coexist with what's been done previously, does not break anything but keeps everything intact. We also have to ensure it doesn't interfere with the active user base we've got running.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I rate ClickUp’s pricing a seven out of ten.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
What other advice do I have?
Just ensure you have a design you want to work with before you begin. Research and get some training because you'll only get out of ClickUp. ClickUp has a lot of framework systems you can implement in many ways, and you can do a straightforward implementation, but it's difficult if you start in the wrong way; it's difficult to unwind and move to
a more optimum solution because you learn as you go. So you need to do your research upfront. You need to do a little bit of training. It's maybe a day to understand concepts. You need to get your design out. You need to test it, and then you need to build it. The problem with ClickUp is that it is so user-friendly you can dive in. And before you know where you are, you're all over the place.
Since it hasn't yet got predefined models you can choose from, I rate the overall solution a seven out of ten.

SAP EWM & PP Consultant at Ohlthaver & List
Highly scalable and stable solution
Pros and Cons
- "It is a scalable solution. I would rate it a ten out of ten."
- "The email portion, specifically the email automation, where you can add attachments, has room for improvement."
What is our primary use case?
I use it for thought management, automation, task creation, document collaboration, project management, and automation to send emails for onboarding suppliers.
What needs improvement?
The email portion, specifically the email automation, where you can add attachments, has room for improvement. It should be more robust, and comments should be integrated automatically when you send an email. Also, the URL when you send an email to a task is extremely long.
There is another thing I am not happy about. They have one fine print where they say that you can't have a case license if you're the owner and you have a Gmail account with a dot, like Gmail.com. ClickUp has a restriction that disallows the usage of Gmail accounts with a dot in the email address.
The license is only applicable if it's not a dot at Gmail.com. So it has to be Gmail.com to continue. It should not be Gmail. If you're at Gmail.com, you need to be a full member, but it's not from a business perspective. It doesn't make sense. If you're now, as soon as I say, our side organization can be a guest inside the organization at Gmail.com, and it should be that. So that is very limited. Because the thing is, we will not buy 500 licenses to add 500 people. We will not do it.
But now, at the same time, that's not one of our group of companies. So one of our other companies is the one that I'm migrating my thing to, but we, as us, from the head office, actually might not go with the application due to the technicalities. We had one idea to transfer ownership to a Gmail account and use our company model again, but this may not comply with management's standards.
There is room for improvement. From a business perspective, having certain features makes it difficult to price the price higher than other applications.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using ClickUp for eight months. I am using the latest version available.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
It's a ten—no issues with the stability.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It is a scalable solution. I would rate it a ten out of ten. Scalability should work fine. There's probably not going to be any tricky part. You should be able to manage it.
Moreover, our company is moving from 50 users to almost 500 users.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing is good.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Currently, we are considering whether to continue using ClickUp or switch to other products due to technical issues. As the IT department, we set the rules and regulations for the group, so if we decide not to use the product, the company will follow. We are currently exploring other options.
What other advice do I have?
I would definitely recommend using the product. Overall, I would rate the solution an eight out of ten. ClickUp is in the process of releasing ClickUp 3.0, which has not been released yet. So, hopefully, they would address most of the problems I'm facing right now.

Functional Consultant at RFR Group
Team productivity tool used in a development context that is easy to use and quick to set up
Pros and Cons
- "The most interesting feature is the ability to share what you are working on with an external entity. The customer has direct visibility on what is being done on a particular project and this provides a lot of transparency."
- "ClickUp could improve by being customised to the development industry. We would like to have bug trackers and an agile approach built into the solution."
What is our primary use case?
We are a project organization so we have development and functional teams that are working on projects. We use it to identify activities and timelines and who is responsible for what.
We have 16 people using this solution right now.

This is a user-friendly system. It doesn't take a lot of time to set up and get started. The most interesting feature is the ability to share what you are working on with an external entity. The customer has direct visibility on what is being done on a particular project and this provides a lot of transparency.

For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using this solution for one year.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
This is a stable solution.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I would rate this solution a six out of ten for scalability as there are certain features we cannot extend. For certain elements of tracking and revisions, we use Asana and Jira. We need to depend on those system as well.
How are customer service and support?
I have not personally contacted the technical support team of ClickUp before. We use the knowledge base because they have a lot of videos.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We switched to using this solution because we wanted to get visibility on the resource load. We have had trouble identifying the load of the resource and the profitability of projects. Previously, we were using Microsoft Projects but it was not that easy to use and did not provide us with all the details we needed.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup was very easy and took less than a day.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
This solution costs $20 per user per month. If you have 20 users, you would pay $400 per month. There are no hidden fees that we are aware of.

Real-time collaboration and task visualization for helpful project management
Pros and Cons

- "We can chat in real time with clients and team members, and it is powerful since we can use a mobile application simultaneously with a desktop website, making it great for visualization and project task assignments to team members."

What is our primary use case?
We use ClickUp primarily for project management. When we have a client, we set tasks, distribute the timeline, and show them dashboards and whiteboards. Pros and Cons
- "It gives reminders for important project dates and when a particular task is about to close."
- "The product is not user-friendly."
What is our primary use case?
We use ClickUp to track projects by storing all the milestones in the system. It gives reminders for important project dates and when a particular task is about to close.
What needs improvement?
The product is not user-friendly. When I duplicate sheets and change the name to another project, it is replicated in the old sheet. It could be improved. They should add a page to capture the RACI matrix. It will be user-friendly for changing dates and replicating tasks and sub-tasks.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using ClickUp for a year.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I rate the product's stability a nine out of ten.

Market Insight Manager at a tech services company with 11-50 employees
Captures intricate details, reliable performance, and the technical support is responsive, but templates could be more user-friendly
Pros and Cons
- "ClickUp offers a relatively user-friendly experience, especially when it comes to its fundamental features."
- "There is a need for significant improvement in the user interface to make it more intuitive and less time-consuming to become familiar with."
What is our primary use case?
We use ClickUp as our workflow management tool to effectively monitor and track our workflow processes.
What is most valuable?
ClickUp excels in capturing intricate details, which can be both beneficial and challenging. While it facilitates a proper flow and provides precise instructions, it can also make the workflow appear overly complex.
While it ensures that teams are aware of what needs to be done and when delving too deep into the specifics may overwhelm the team with numerous upcoming tasks and related subtasks.
What needs improvement?
There is a need for significant improvement in the user interface to make it more intuitive and less time-consuming to become familiar with.
I would like a user-friendly template dashboard and reporting that makes the process easier. My previous attempt with a template was a difficult process that required long Google searches on ClickUp sites for help. A simple dashboard or the ability to effortlessly integrate an Excel-based dashboard into ClickUp would be beneficial.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with ClickUp for approximately eight months.
I am working with the latest versions.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
ClickUp is a stable solution.
We do not use ClickUp in multiple locations, we do use it across multiple departments within our organization.
ClickUp performs exceptionally well across all departments.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
From the time when the organization had less than ten employees to now, the team size has doubled, and ClickUp has been functioning effectively.
As the organization continues to grow, ClickUp remains suitable for small businesses. Its performance has been satisfactory thus far in accommodating the expanding needs of the organization.
How are customer service and support?
On a couple of occasions, there have been instances where the ClickUp software became unresponsive. However, it is important to note that these occurrences were likely due to maintenance issues.
Although I wasn't directly involved in resolving those instances of ClickUp, they were able to get up and running quickly.
How was the initial setup?
When I first joined the organization, the system was already set up, and it was incredibly straightforward to adapt and use the basic features.
It typically takes approximately two to three weeks, or possibly a month, to become proficient in using the fundamental functionalities of the system.
Since ClickUp is predominantly used for project management, having someone responsible for overseeing it is important. This ensures that tasks and responsibilities are properly assigned, and any issues or delays are promptly addressed. Without proper oversight, tasks can become unattended, leading to a backlog and reduced responsiveness in managing the platform effectively.
What was our ROI?
ClickUp proves beneficial in enhancing production processes by enabling faster execution. Its features and functionalities contribute to streamlining workflows, facilitating efficient task management, and improving overall productivity.
While the specific cost and customization details are unknown, ClickUp's potential to enhance production efficiency remains evident.
It is important to consider your company's specific requirements and goals when determining the suitability and value of ClickUp for your organization.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I don't have a lot of information about the pricing, it is fairly inexpensive.
What other advice do I have?
ClickUp is a valuable tool for tracking and managing processes, but its complexity can vary depending on the intricacies of your company's workflows. Learning the software requires patience and a thorough understanding of its features and functionalities.
ClickUp offers a relatively user-friendly experience, especially when it comes to its fundamental features. The core functionalities are straightforward and accessible for users. However, as you explore more advanced capabilities within the platform, it can become more intricate and potentially complex. It is important to acknowledge that while the basics are easy to grasp, delving into the more advanced aspects of ClickUp may require additional effort and a learning curve.
I would rate ClickUp a seven out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Public Cloud

Media Operations Manager at MX Player
Used to monitor data updates made by developers, but the solution's components can be simplified by creating a bridge between developers and management
Pros and Cons
- "The simplicity of the tool is valuable because it has categories and subcategories."
- "It can be improved by making it more user-friendly."
What is our primary use case?
Our primary use case for the solution is monitoring data updates made by developers. It is also used by management to identify when tasks can be completed and show the cumulative ETA's.
What is most valuable?
The simplicity of the tool is valuable because it has categories and subcategories.
What needs improvement?
The solution's components can be simplified by creating a bridge between developers and management. For example, there is a page they have to develop a task that should be done in one week, and they have given a deadline for every component of the page. The solution requires us to check every component before identifying the whole status of the page so it can be improved by making it more user-friendly.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been using the solution for five months.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The solution is stable. I rate it a seven out of ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I rate the solution a five out of ten. I recommend the solution to users considering implementing it.

The solution enables users to update tasks and track projects, but it is expensive and complicated to use
Pros and Cons
- "We can update tasks and track projects."
- "The tool is not user-friendly."
What is our primary use case?
ClickUp is a project management tool. We can update tasks and track projects.
What is most valuable?
The product provides a Gantt chart. The Gantt chart shows how many projects we have completed and how many are pending. It shows us all the deadlines.
What needs improvement?
We can't integrate many tools with ClickUp. We have more than 3000 integrations available in Jira. Other products provide features like to-do, pending, and progress lists. Such features are not available in ClickUp. The tool is not user-friendly. It is complicated to use.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using the solution for three to four months.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Almost everyone in my company uses the solution. We have around 500 users.
How are customer service and support?
I rate the technical support a seven or eight out of ten.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Neutral
How was the initial setup?
The solution is cloud-based.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The product is expensive.
What other advice do I have?
I have worked with other tools. ClickUp is not user-friendly. I find more features in other solutions. I recommend the product for small organizations and small teams. Larger organizations might have many projects and teams. So, they would need a better tool. Overall, I rate the tool a six or six and a half out of ten.
