It provides a consolidated platform to manage content for the content editors.
Hosting support is the most valuable feature. Acquia provides a standard for the support and the incident requests. Their knowledge of Drupal as a CMS has enabled us to focus on developing business outcomes rather than focusing on the IT operations. Acquia has provided a resilient hosting infrastructure that allows our people to focus on delivering value to our customers.

Event-based data exchange has improved integrations but analytics and support remain weak
SAP Cloud Platform is a strong part of their offering. They are very poor in the analytics area. You do not have much available. If you want to have analytics, you have to do everything yourself. Everything is very expensive, so it is not helping with the infrastructure costs. There is a lot of latency and glitches. The support is very difficult and not really helpful. The fact is you are completely losing control of the infrastructure. If something bad happens, there is nothing you can really do. You have to ask the support and the support will answer when they want or when they can.

Pros

"The platform is extremely scalable."
"The ability to expand it whenever required has been great — it's very simple."
"The mobile access capability is very beneficial."
"SAP Cloud Platform allows flexibility in integrating with other applications and supports customizations."
"My advice to anyone who is doing such a thing right now is not to listen to the old reputation of SAP in terms of complexity and difficulty in deployment."
"The entire SAP ecosystem is a valuable feature. It provides access to SAP S/4HANA, ACG systems, and their Fiori launchpad, making it easy to navigate between them. This makes the enterprise very accessible."
"The mapping transformation allows us to connect our on-premise ECC to the cloud system."

Cons

"The automation tools need to improve."
"It would be helpful to have additional samples for SoapUI that include interface methodologies and templates."
"I'd like to see more local integration."
"I can’t speak to features that may be missing."
"Regarding improvements, I think the user experience, specifically the developer experience during design time, could be better. Platforms like MuleSoft and Flowgear have much better design times."
"For our organization, the price is the main downside."
"Everything is very expensive, so it is not helping with the infrastructure costs."
"The price of the solution could improve."
"Speaking about the public cloud, it's a very rigid system. So, there is not a lot of customization possible in a public cloud environment."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"Cost-wise, I'm unsure of how expensive the SAP Cloud Platform is."
"SAP Cloud Platform costs $2 to $5 per hour, while I found other platforms way more affordable. You have to pay per use, though that's fine because that means the cost is flexible."
"I discovered that the SAP Cloud Platform is affordable, contrary to the impression that it's expensive. The pricing for extra packages or messages is quite reasonable, especially for things like message throughput and processing."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a nine out of ten."
"SAP Cloud Platform Integration is an expensive product. I rate its pricing an eight out of ten."
