Have achieved seamless data recovery and find disaster recovery immensely reliable
I trust Acronis Disaster Recovery because I have used it in many critical cases, such as managing an email server with inboxes for 5,000 users along with system data, and it successfully restored everything. Data authenticity is very important for all users and administrators, and the blockchain-based data integrity verification feature in Acronis Disaster Recovery provides great benefit. I recommend using Acronis Disaster Recovery. Once users have the software, they should schedule backups and save their data in a safe place within Acronis because it is trustworthy and reliable for data backup at any time. On a scale of 1-10, I rate Acronis Disaster Recovery a 10.

Has enabled seamless disaster recovery with virtual rollovers and rapid failovers between systems
Improving Precisely Assure MIMIX is going to be a really hard one; over the years, the tech support started off kind of rough but gradually got better and better as I used it often, being on a first-name basis with many of the customer service reps because of having to call with issues that they were always able to resolve fairly quickly. I would have liked to see more reporting, maybe automation of reports, but as far as integration with other systems, I always used Precisely Assure MIMIX on an AS/400, iSeries, IBM iSeries machine, and I cannot speak to using it on any other device.

"This is a good product and I feel confident recommending it to any of my customers."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is data restoration or data recovery."
"The most valuable feature is the hot restore capability."
"As a user or company, we found Acronis is beneficial in terms of support, product, and scalability."
"Patch management, backup, and disaster recovery have been the solution's most valuable features for our data protection strategy."
"Performance-wise, it works efficiently for backup and recovery compared to other tools."
"The tool's real-time replication is fast and enhances data security."
"Database replication is most valuable; it is multi-platform, so it can replicate from a variety of different database types to a variety of different database types, and it is a relatively stable database replication product."
"I see that the seamless synchronization feature is helpful for your organization or your customers' organization."
"Precisely Assure MIMIX has positively affected our organization by reducing downtime because it takes 30 minutes from swapping from one box to another; production is back up and running within 30 minutes, and a lot of times, I could get it down to 20 minutes."
"The product's initial setup phase was straightforward and simple."

Cons

"Acronis could improve by incorporating an application or network load balancer. They could also enhance endpoint security by integrating EDR within the security framework."
"For the backup to compete in the enterprise market, there must be improvements."
"Technical support from Acronis requires some improvisation; we do not get on-time support, and we face issues connecting with the account manager, which needs to be improved."
"The cost is acceptable."
"Overall, Acronis is a good solution, but it needs improvements in some areas like IDR, XDR, and other aspects."
"In the future, I would like to see cross-platform support."
"Acronis Disaster Recovery is an expensive solution compared to other products."
"Apart from the cost, which is one aspect, there is no improvement I can think of at the moment for Acronis Disaster Recovery. The only area for improvement is the price."
"One thing I see as a drawback in Precisely Assure MIMIX is that deployment is quite complex and it takes time."
"The high cost of the product is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"There is certainly a strong lobby in the company that feels that by having so many copies of the same set of data throughout the organization, we are going in the wrong direction."
"The pricing was a little steep; I believe it could have been lower, but for what I received as far as the service, the price is pretty close."
"It does data manipulation language (DML) replication, but it does not do data definition language (DDL) replication. In my opinion, it is a disadvantage. It would be nicer if it was able to do both DML and DDL. I'm not 100% certain of this, but it seems Oracle Golden Gate does both DML and DDL. MIMIX only does DML, and it would be very nice if they included DDL replication. This is one feature that would be very helpful to have."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The tool is a little bit expensive. When it comes to pricing, there is a range for the VMs and endpoints. It depends. A set of backups on a DR probably costs around 10 to 20 USD per endpoint."
"Acronis Disaster Recovery is a cheap solution."
"The tool's pricing is reasonable."
"The price of the solution is inexpensive."
"The solution’s pricing is average."
"This pricing is quite reasonable."
"The product has an affordable price."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is expensive and ten is cheap, I rate the solution's pricing two or three out of ten."
"The cost of the product is too high."
"The licensing provides the access to support. I do know that there's an annual charge for being able to call into their support line and get a technical team from Precisely to assist with any issues we may have. I don't think there are any additional costs other than what we incur internally in terms of the infrastructure that we need to run and operate the product."
