Simplifies payroll processing and reduces the need for extensive marketing efforts while providing scalability, compliance, and excellent stability
I believe there is room for enhancement in the scope of services. We encountered challenges at times in clearly defining it, particularly because the firewall domain is extensive and demands localization for this service. Consequently, there is occasional confusion regarding whether a service falls under the standard category or is considered an add-on. I think there is a need for a deeper level of comprehension.

Decades of use have delivered secure, customizable control for public sector operations and finance
I have just completed three assessments: one on inventory demand planning, another on using artificial intelligence to bring supplier contracts in portable document format directly into PeopleSoft. PeopleSoft works both internally as well as with third-party products that integrate seamlessly with PeopleSoft. PeopleSoft operates both from a need-to-know-only basis as well as being able at the same time to do group purchase and realize large quantity purchase discounts. My clients have used marketplaces, and it is really industry-specific whether they use one or not, or if there is even one available. I would rate this product nine out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature was that everything was in one system."
"They are very strong in terms of having a central regional system, where a regional person can see and monitor the calendar for each different country and know what stage they are in, if the process has been finalized and approved, and if the process has gone back to the bank, all monitored regionally."
"The product is good, user-friendly, and effective."
"The ability to have one reporting for all countries is valuable."
"The advantage was that ADP Streamline was inherently designed to serve as a marketing engine for the company."
"I like the reporting feature as it allows me to generate reports independently without relying on a payroll consultant."
"The product allows you to create and manage shared services centrally even in small countries."
"I often say that PeopleSoft's greatest feature is how customizable it is."
"Job data is a valuable feature."
"Having a complete enterprise solution where all the reporting is in our own centralized system is great."
"PeopleSoft HCM is a mature, flexible and robust product."
"I think PeopleSoft is a good tool for HR administrators; it's easy to navigate compared to the other ERPs, the management of the tool is straightforward from the employee's perspective so the employee experience is good, and PeopleSoft is intuitive so no one needs to be taught how to use the system."
"Once you get the feel of it and learn how to use it, the ease of use and performance are the most valuable features."
"The customization and catering to our specific needs have helped, with obvious benefits as the streamlining process is accelerating and it aids me from an auditing perspective since it's all system-driven and cannot be altered."
"PeopleSoft is resilient and has the flexibility for us to customize it."

Cons

"The pricing is high as compared with other products in the market. For a small service that is out of scope, it has a huge service charge."
"I think there is a need for a deeper level of comprehension."
"The product is not quite up to our expectations."
"They could improve the service relationship manager (SRM), because they have an SRM which is not familiar with Simple."
"Having more clear guidance on design and training would be beneficial."
"The reporting tool could be improved as it currently is just a data dump and much manipulation is required."
"We had to scrap plans to integrate Brazil because it was not doable."
"The UI could be improved to be a bit more modern or trendy because it looks old-fashioned compared to other systems."
"The Work Center feature in PeopleSoft is a step in the right direction in consolidating someone's role-based interaction with the system. This enhanced functionality streamlines workflows and improves efficiency."
"PeopleSoft lacks integration capabilities."
"If they could provide reports for various organizations, especially global ones. Currently, the report fields are mostly US centric, and do not support other regions."
"The biggest disadvantage with things like PeopleSoft is that they do continuous support and fixes and upgrades. You get to choose when you want to implement that upgrade. However, in order to keep up, you have to upgrade."
"PeopleSoft can improve by having proper connectors. It's very difficult to change some interfaces with the other systems."
"This is an area I would warn others about. I've worked on several implementations and there's a long period of time within which PeopleSoft needs to be implemented."
"Mobility is an area that has evolved a lot in recent years at PeopleSoft, so I think it would be an area of product improvement."
"Agile system configurations to accommodate business dynamics."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The amount we pay is not low, and it is not high. It is average."
"Our company had a standardized pricing model based on the number of employees."
"The tool is expensive."
"One of the cheapest solutions available and also one of the best."
"The main issue we have with the solution is that it is very expensive."
"The expenses related to the solution are nominal."
"It's approximately $3,000,000 to $4,000,000 USD per year."
"Yearly payments are to be made toward the licensing costs of PeopleSoft. PeopleSoft is not very expensive, so I feel it is an affordable product."
"The product's cost depends on the number of people in your company or the number of paychecks processed. They charge based on these factors, plus a maintenance fee. I'm not sure about current pricing since Oracle took over."
"Mostly yearly payments are to be made toward licensing costs. It is not much of an expensive solution."
