User interface streamlines task automation and improves efficiency
akaBot made a noticeable difference at Wika because it is lightweight and easy to use, and moreover, akaBot has a forum to answer many questions. The ease of use stands out because the design of akaBot is very friendly. The best features that akaBot offers in my experience include the UI automation in the browser or in the Windows application. What I appreciate most about the UI automation in browsers or Windows applications is the auto-generate selector in a browser and Windows application. This feature makes a difference because it reduced most of the time developing the bot.

Significantly reduces manual effort and improves team workflows through automated ticketing
We've used Agent Builder, IXP, and Maestro for orchestration. We have created context-grounded searches or chatbots using context grounding, and we also use context grounding within an Agentic flow where a bot or agent reads ServiceNow tickets to determine whether it has been assigned to the right work group. If it has not been assigned correctly due to human error, it automatically reassigns it to the right group. I would assess Agentic AI's ability to extract data points as effective. We created an agent for the purpose of extracting data, though not in a document. We created what we call an email conversation agent that engages with a customer, vendor, or someone in an email conversation with a set goal of extracting specific data points for an action to be performed subsequently. The one automation we have deployed in production involves the agent interacting with team members to collect data points and create a ServiceNow ticket. We appreciate almost all features of UiPath Platform, with one of the most successful ones being the use of Coms Mining. Most of the new features related to AI have all been good, and we use Agentic. We have already created a few agents and have started to use Maestro for a few flows, though we are not yet there to orchestrate an end-to-end workflow. We have good ROI from the automations we have developed with UiPath Platform, which far exceeds the investment in the platform. It has saved us tens of thousands of hours in manual effort, making the team members happy to pursue other things of value.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"The cost is affordable, and it fits our requirements."
"akaBot made a noticeable difference at Wika because it is lightweight and easy to use, and moreover, akaBot has a forum to answer many questions."
"I appreciate the orchestration capabilities and document processing integrations."
"if you are a business user, even if you don't have a technical team, you can install the second version of the Community edition, which is StudioX. This is specifically made for business people who don't have a lot of ideas about technicalities. This is a great feature."
"The robots that I have developed can take a process that is normally very complicated and simplify it."
"I'm not worried about the stability of the product. If others are using it in the cloud with much more complicated processes than we are automating, it's not really a concern of mine."
"UiPath is easy to scale. If we want to share the bot or the scripts, it is easy to do so with other team members. It is also easy to add licensing and grow the current bot or create a new one."
"The UiPath community has been great. There are a lot of great mentorships, a lot of forums, and a lot of people who are very interested in growing the community. It's been very nice to work with them. Anybody who is in UiPath has been an amazing partner for us."
"Robots take care of tedious and repetitive tasks, where humans concentrate on critical decision making."
"The best part is the way UiPath provides the ability to automate everything, including the architecture and Orchestrator. The interfaces are very user-friendly and intuitive. It's very easy to build automations. Someone who is not very technical can understand quite a lot and start to automate."

Cons

"If they can provide more intelligent automation, it would be beneficial."
"I used UiPath before akaBot, and I think UiPath has more features than akaBot."
"I would evaluate customer service and technical support as lacking; we're on the Bronze tier support plan, which is honestly miserable."
"The Insights could be improved to be more user friendly and less reliant on code for building specific dashboards."
"To improve UiPath Platform, I would really want to see improvements on Action Center in customization on how it's laid out."
"Building automations can be a little complicated. There are so many variables and commands. We're also trying to integrate new technology like ChatGPT. Although ChatGPT has many APIs, they're not sufficiently integrated. If UiPath could add more API integration and tutorials in the academy, it would help us utilize them more effectively."
"I would like a way to add priority to the outgoing mails from UiPath studio."
"The community can be increased and enhanced. That way, if we are facing an issue and need an easy solution, we can then use the community."
"The data extraction has room for improvement."
"VM was on the service for high density. It is finicky at times. The latest release is a lot more stable. However, I've had a two week production outage where DLLs weren't registered and someone from Vegas had to login for eight hours onto the fraud service to work it out. Even though they uninstalled and re-installed it, all the different apps still wasn't working. So, I have lost a bit of faith in it to be honest."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"UiPath's pricing is expensive but reasonable for the quality of service that it provides."
"We saw ROI in 15 days."
"The price of UiPath Platform in the Middle East region is a little bit high; having a lower price for the Middle East region would make it more attractive."
"UiPath is more expensive than other automation services, but the ROI justifies the cost."
"I am using the Community Edition and am not familiar with the cost of the paid editions."
"The pricing is competitive, and for large-scale use cases, UiPath may make better sense cost-wise. However, it is not very viable for small-scale use cases. Power Automate is much cheaper and has similar functionalities. UiPath offers two options. If you choose the on-premises option, then you would have to manage it yourself, but if you go for the fully managed one, then there won't be any overhead cost. We are gradually moving to Power Automate and Power Apps because we are already on the Microsoft stack, and it helps us reduce the footprint. If the cost of UiPath were comparable to that of Power Automate, then UiPath would have been the better alternative."
"UiPath is too expensive."
"It is quite an expensive solution."
