Improved daily delivery has streamlined workflows and saved time for developers and operations
Akuity Platform has most of the features, but I think they should include some more features, such as the feature where we specify the URLs of the Argo CD workflow, which I liked, but it would be good if they include more of those features on the platform. Integration with Akuity Platform is quite good as they have integrations with almost all the related CI/CD products, but I think in terms of performance, they can improve upon that because sometimes it does get laggy, maybe due to high pressure, and anything can be the reason for that, but they can improve on the performance part.

Have built reliable end-to-end pipelines and streamlined cloud provisioning through consistent collaboration practices
I am currently working with open-source tools such as Jenkins for my main CI/CD pipeline, and for enterprise clients, I am using Microsoft Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline. For other clients, I have also implemented CI/CD YAML pipelines through GitLab CI/CD workflow and GitHub Actions. I am creating the end-to-end CI/CD pipeline from development to deployment and monitoring all of this. Azure Boards is easier than Jira for my understanding because there are very easy points to manage the Agile methodology which we work on. Because it is a GUI, sometimes the process may take a few minutes more than the CLI process since the backend is running the exact CLI, but we are commanding through the GUI. There is definitely a time lag, but it is more secure. Microsoft Azure DevOps pipelines work very seamlessly rather than other CI/CD pipelines, as of my understanding. The downside is that the process may take more time when deploying some clusters, Kubernetes, Azure AKS service, or some vast microservice architecture deployments. There may be a little bit of lag I feel, though I cannot tell very strictly that this is a disadvantage, but sometimes it takes a little more time than other cloud infrastructures. All the major things are done by GUI, which is somewhat a little slow. However, if considering automations, process, monitoring, and provisioning, then it is the best cloud service across all the other service providers. Our implementation is a hybrid cloud. Microsoft Azure DevOps is definitely easily scalable. I have worked on many Kubernetes infrastructures and microservice deployments, and I have seen that replication is very good because it is very easy. The replication process is very straightforward. I definitely advocate for using less code because it is very time-consuming. If using GCP or Amazon Web Service, there is more interaction related to work over the CLI process. In terms of Microsoft Azure DevOps, there are many things done by the GUI, which is the best part.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Akuity Platform has impacted my organization positively through ease of onboarding and ease of use; we do not have to rely on difficult trainings for new joiners."
"In my opinion, the best features of Akuity Platform include the GitOps-first model that makes deployments predictable and auditable, a good UI for visualizing the application state versus the desired state, easy rollback and sync control during deployment, good compatibility with Kubernetes native tooling and manifests, and a strong open-source ecosystem with great documentation."
"Akuity Platform has positively impacted our organization by helping us reduce the overall onboarding time from days to hours for thousands of applications, achieving secure, consistent GitOps at scale."
"Overall, Akuity Platform has impacted our organization positively as the DevOps team is quite happy because first, they do not have to manage their own Argo CD, and second, it is quite user-friendly for them as well as for the developers, saving time for us."
"Their technical support is pretty good."
"I like that the solution is stable and that all ends of the process are integrated seamlessly into the tool."
"Mostly, I have found the source code control pipeline and the pull request governance to be very valuable."
"Our customers use Microsoft Azure DevOps for their business needs when it comes to DevSecOps and scalability."
"Microsoft Azure DevOps provides tools for tracking tasks and requirements, allowing the team to log in, see their assigned tasks, and mark them as finished while offering integrated graphics to monitor project progress."
"I am satisfied with the functionality of Microsoft Azure DevOps because UFT is for functional testing, but integrating with Microsoft Azure DevOps allows us to track from the beginning to the end."
"Our technical sales staff and business development people need to know how far the developers are on any product that we're developing. DevOps makes it easier for you to see how far along they are with the work because they have a repository where they store everything. There is a portal where you can see what has been done, what has been tested, what is working, and what isn't. I have a huge dashboard with an overview of what the development team is doing from an executive point of view."
"All of the features related to release management are very good."

Cons

"Integration with Akuity Platform is quite good as they have integrations with almost all the related CI/CD products, but I think in terms of performance, they can improve upon that because sometimes it does get laggy, maybe due to high pressure, and anything can be the reason for that, but they can improve on the performance part."
"From a perspective of support feedback, it is a bit slow, so I would like them to fix that and make it more seamless."
"In terms of improvement for Akuity Platform, I would say that the RBAC and multi-application setup takes time to configure correctly."
"It would be great if I could integrate with a human resource type of software that could control timesheets."
"Unfortunately, managing users in Azure is a very complicated issue."
"I would like to see new features added."
"Test management extension is too high to be paid on a monthly basis."
"With an ecosystem that has been up and running for some time, you won't have the full-flexibility that you would have with a new ecosystem."
"They should expand it from just a PC, software, or server development platform to other kinds of software or engineering systems so that it is not necessarily built around a normal PC with a server. I would like to see the ability to write my own scripts in my own compiled program or online. Right now, there are things that you can do in the user interface, but you can't do them programmatically and vice versa. I want to see them both. If I can do it in a script, I should be able to do it from the user interface, and if I can do it in the user interface, I should be able to do it in a script."
"When comparing with Jira, I find that the task management capabilities in Azure DevOps are not yet fully comprehensive and should be enhanced."
"Microsoft Azure DevOps is not perfected yet, as it needs to be more user friendly."
