Provides a lifetime warranty, is reliable, has good technical support, and includes security features
The stability is excellent. It comes with a lifetime warranty. Even if you're going through a difficult patch. If there is a failure in that scenario, it is very minor. We were never encountered that, but If it happens, it's probably due to a web party, such as a power fluctuation. Even our power supply includes a hardware replacement. As a result, there are no issues with the even power supply's lifetime warranty. In the general market, other competitor products, the power supply will not be covered, even though we are covering the power supply with a hardware replacement warranty. Which is where we have an advantage. Security features are included.

Faced deployment successfully but configuration complexity needs to be reduced
I think the layout is a bit complicated. There are so many different layers to set up, and it is very easy to miss out or make configuration mistakes because they are hierarchical. You need to be very careful about which one has been in use. Aruba ClearPass is also complicated as well. If Aruba could combine all of their products together, it would be great to have a single pane of glass. Currently, the Aruba sensor does not work together with other products. There is no single pane of glass for location configuration, so you need to log into different websites to check the user experience.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"When you go on the website, everything is clear and you don't have to ask questions."
"The stability is excellent, it comes with a lifetime warranty, and even our power supply includes a hardware replacement, which gives us an advantage over competitor products where the power supply is not covered."
"The tool can work without distributor architecture or seller access points."
"The stability is excellent."
"You can use this solution for enterprise companies ranging from five to 5,000 users, and it is very versatile because you get both a cloud version and an on-premises version, so you can use it for unified communication."
"It works well. It is reliable."
"The solution’s stability is rock solid."
"In the event of a controller appliance failure or downtime, the system seamlessly transitions control to any access point acting as a backup controller."
"This is a good product and my advice for anybody who is considering it is that they can solve a lot of issues with Aruba."
"I'd recommend anybody looking at implementing Aruba Wireless to go for it - it's a really, very good product."
"I rate the support an eight out of ten since it is good."
"An engineer with enough experience can tune the network however they want. It's crucial. It's good to customize our information security how we like it and configure the solution to achieve the level of stability we need."
"Its most valuable feature is the ease of use."

Cons

"Alcatel-Lucent Teldat needs to reduce its price."
"The price could be reduced."
"I would like to see something for remote working."
"Technical support is important to me and I feel that it is something that can be improved."
"It is a little bit cumbersome to configure. If you're designing a WLAN and you want to do and cover certain types of clients, you really have to know different settings and how they interact with one another. If they could automate that so that if you are designing for one type of equipment, you could, in essence, run a wizard. That would certainly save on a lot of calls to tech support."
"Deployment can take some time if you haven't planned well."
"The initial setup is complex."
"In the next release, the security should be improved by including support for WPA3."
"The solution should be cheaper."
"Something that needs to be improved is the integration."
"From the commercial-side the pricing side is fine but in other aspects, it could be lowered."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I don't find this solution expensive but pricing is relative."
"There is a one-time licensing fee. There is no need to renew it."
"The solution's licensing costs are one-time. It is not expensive. I rate its pricing a four out of ten. It provides us with a lifetime warranty."
"I rate the product's price an eight on a scale of one to ten, where one is the lowest ,and ten is the highest."
"With some vendors, the access point is not manageable anymore if you don't maintain the license. It's more or less a doorstop because you can't configure and control it. You can't troubleshoot it unless you maintain the license. That's not true with Aruba."
"That's really subject to the type of environment you're deploying. If you're doing a full controller model with 200 APs, the initial deployment could be 150 grand. Maintaining that or maintaining support for that per year could be something like 10 to 15 grand per year. In the cloud sense, the cloud is by the number of APs. So, everything is readily available."
"On a scale f one to ten, where one point is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the pricing as eight. Cloud licenses are quite expensive."
"The price of this solution is approximately 1,000,000 ESP ($6,750 USD)."
"It is a costly solution."
"It is more affordable than Cisco."
"Licensing fees are paid on a yearly basis."
