Allows for automatic scaling of resources and provides built-in firewalls and security features, eliminating the need for external security solutions
One thing that's a bit different is that we're still accustomed to speaking to someone directly. AWS doesn't offer that kind of support. It's only through bots. You're speaking to chatbots, and that can sometimes be frustrating because there's no person on the other side. AI is not a substitute for a person. AWS marketplace is very strong, but somehow AWS doesn't promote it much. They have a huge customer base across the globe, and if products were launched in their marketplace, they could sell like hotcakes. They should improve their marketplace and promote the same product across the globe. They can take a cut, but they should promote it. That's something they don't do very much. So, AWS should promote its marketplace software. The company should promote it aggressively. Currently, they keep it very subtle. If you ask for it, they'll help you out. But they don't seem to advertise, "You're building a product on our platform? Why don't you sell it in our marketplace?" Improvement in AI: AWS is a little behind Microsoft Azure in terms of AI. AWS is still getting there, but the kind of examples and help files available in Azure for AI are much better. So AWS still needs to work on its AI functionality.

A scalable and stable solution that has good scalability and is easy to setup
It is a scalable solution. I have yet to have a scenario regarding automatic scale and if there's an increase in resource requirement or need. We have yet to have that scenario. We have yet to test that. The scalability was more than manually adjusting and increasing whatever I had to do. I rate it eight out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"This solution is a good option if you are looking for cloud-based storage. Using a cloud-based solution, it is not required to accommodate a full workload. You can start with a basic version and scale up as needed."
"It has good reporting and documentation."
"The storage on offer is excellent."
"The most valuable features are load balancers, databases, and S3 buckets."
"They provide cutting-edge features compared to other cloud vendors."
"AWS's security model, including IAM or security groups, has contributed to our organization's compliance. It manages authentication, permissions, and overall security posture, which helps us maintain compliance."
"One of the features offered is scalability on demand."
"It is enough for us in terms of features. We don't have too many transactions, and it is sufficient for our current needs."
"The dynamic vertical scaling is a unique feature."
"The solution is scalable, and that is what we are looking at. There is no learning curve as we have not done much research."
"Technical support from Jelastic is very good."
"The advanced level of production-ready Docker hosting, one-click application deployment, and the truly flexible pricing."
"The control is valuable. It's really easy to use and you have good control of your solutions."

Cons

"This solution could offer more security."
"An integrated platform would make it easier for administrators to monitor and manage."
"The problem with AWS is you have to keep up with the technology. If you don't stay up to date with the technology and its latest changes then you won't know what to use in your infrastructure."
"Monthly costs can be high if you don't maintain your usage"
"AWS for API, or Seller Central, is no improvement from what we had (our internal tools we designed to update accounts, change customer network profiles, monitoring, MRTG graphs, etc), when AWS should be blazing."
"The solution could offer better integration capabilities."
"There's not much room for improvement but that being said, they can improve the overall process of the overall product features and backend."
"When I try to enter the multi-cloud, they provide very poor support. Support is a concern with Amazon."
"The security layers also need to be improved because there is no clear layer or tier of security in the solution."
"For now, some customers are requesting support of Docker containers for Windows."
"Lacks better integration into enterprise storage products."
"The backup features need improvement, or rather it should be added, as I could not find it."
"The backup functionality needs to be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"When you compare Amazon AWS to Microsoft Azure, the pricing of both is almost the same. There are some instances when one is cheaper than the other in one area but it is difficult to pinpoint which one is cheaper because it depends upon a lot of factors, such as the use case. However, the overall price of both solutions could be reduced."
"The solution is on a pay-as-use pricing model. The price of the solution could always be better but it is priced competitively."
"From a cost perspective, Amazon AWS is excellent. You need to pay for a license to use AWS, and the license could be cheaper, but in each of the cases and instances I've used AWS, there has been a good chance to save money."
"Its pricing can be simplified a little bit more. Even though they have been reducing it, I still believe they can do better as compared to GCP, Google Cloud."
"This solution offers good pricing."
"This is not an expensive product but it would be an improvement if the price were cheaper."
"The solution is on a subscription-based model, and it is pay-as-you-go. The price could be cheaper."
"Looking at the primary market for AWS, I see that there's a lot of customers who have only mid-level performance requirements, because you will have all these normal applications such as online auction websites, gaming applications, voice applications, and so on. These are not, for example, large monitoring applications, financial independents, or brick and mortar companies. So AWS caters to about 40% of the market when it comes to general applications. As it happens, in many cases, you simply don't need the high-performance offerings from AWS, nor the innovative products from Google Cloud Platform, which can come with large price tags."
"I would rate the cost 3 out of 5. There are additional costs other than licensing fees."
"Pricing for providers is revenue-shared based. Providers should invest in hardware to set up the Jelastic cluster."
