Has provided reliable monitoring and alerting through extensive metric tracking and dashboard configuration
Amazon CloudWatch itself provides a lot of data. However, for visualization, we need to use third-party tools. We are in a process of integrating Grafana, Loki, and Prometheus to have better visualization on Amazon CloudWatch. We are also integrating Grafana with the application itself to get the application data and logs. Alternatively, there is AWS Kinesis and Glue where you can scrape the logs and have visualization, but a more easy option is Grafana. If you want to get a proper visual representation to see what is happening, then you need to integrate a third-party tool. Amazon CloudWatch has all the data, but to see what is happening, you need some third-party tool.

A scalable and affordable tool for monitoring data centers
Five engineers are needed for the maintenance of the product. I would definitely recommend the solution to those planning to use it. To increase the rating for the product, Nagios should offer remote support and offer more customization in reporting while making it easy for the customers to use it. Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

"What I found most valuable in Amazon CloudWatch is that it gives you detailed information, which I found helpful because it can even provide you with data for the past one minute, which is quite granular. That was what helped me most in terms of finding the root causes. Task automation is another valuable feature of Amazon CloudWatch."
"One of the most valuable features is the dashboard because the UI was effective and easy to use."
"A great feature of the solution involves its internal portal."
"The initial setup of Nagios Log Server was easy and straightforward."

"A great feature of the solution involves its internal portal."
"My company is a featured partner of Nagios XI, so I'm implementing Nagios XI in different companies and supporting the product, and I'd recommend the solution because it offers a lot of benefits and has a good dashboard, it's pretty easy to get up and running, and the pricing is good."

Cons

"There is some delay in logging that they need to improve on."
"The dashboard and the UI could improve in Amazon CloudWatch. Additionally, they should focus on visibility inside the servers with AI and machine learning integrations. This would allow users who are using the solution to see what is happening within the system better."
"Incorporating a straightforward method or a plug-and-play solution for integrating these databases with our systems, facilitating smooth data transfer, and enabling the creation of dashboards for monitoring and analysis would be beneficial."
"When customers want to see the CPU or memory utilization there is a cost. This should be free to see the utilization."
"I would like to monitor inbound and outbound transfer. I would also like to control the traffic for load balancing."
"I do not know whether or not CloudWatch can be integrated with on-prem services."
"The solution's pricing is a bit higher."
"There is room for improvement in the pricing, because they have a premium version, but it's not really a premium version. It's just an enhanced monitoring version, and it can be a bit expensive depending on your usage."
"As we are talking about a product which is open to the public, the pricing makes it challenging for us to profit off of its marketing."
"The support could be better. They only offer email support."

"The customization and dashboards have shortcomings and need to be improved to make the tool look more presentable."
"The configurations during initial setup could be improved. If they could be agentless, as in the case of the Ansible product, it would be better. I would like to be able to analyze the network bandwidth."
