Collaboration works seamlessly and automation supports efficient file sharing
I work as a software engineer in fraud prevention projects where I function primarily as a data engineer. I work with data warehouses, which are centralized storage systems where transactions through databases occur and data from various client sources is consolidated. Amazon WorkDocs can be integrated with AWS Lambda and used with step functions. If publishing with SNS, WorkDocs can subscribe to SNS as well. The integration capabilities of WorkDocs with other AWS services are strong. For access, we use Okta with our AWS account, and we can only log in through our laptops. We authenticate and access whatever services we are authorized to use from the company. Mobile access is not allowed. On a scale of 1-10, I rate Amazon WorkDocs an 8.

Collaboration has transformed how our teams work and Copilot now drives faster daily decisions
The interface for the security and compliance center could be simplified. It changes frequently, which can make it somewhat difficult for admins to stay up-to-date on where specific settings are located. The compliance center modification or improvement of Office 365 needs to be introduced. The rest of the features feel acceptable to me. The reason it is not a ten is because of the complexity of managing the vast array of admin settings, which requires a specialized IT team. Even though it meets industry standards for decent security compliance such as SOC and HIPAA, the complexity of managing the admin settings needs to improve.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"This solution is great for inviting and sharing documents with other users."
"For content sharing, it provides automation features that can be customized according to needs, which are some of the best features that I appreciate."
"Frankly, the features packed by Microsoft and the compatibility with Microsoft operating systems provides you the best options when compared with other options available in market."
"What I like most about Office 365 is its reliability and that I haven't experienced any outages, it's always worked fine for me."
"The most helpful feature I find in Microsoft 365 is the use of AI features, like Copilot, which allows for creating PowerPoint presentations through AI."
"It is scalable and easy to expand to more users."
"The integration capabilities of Office 365 are well integrated; everything is linked, and you're able to flow from your processes, making my work easy because it does the tracking for me."
"It includes Office 365 applications such as Excel, Outlook, and Word."
"The recent addition of having the online version of Microsoft Word is really good, as it now closely resembles Google Docs, and the connection with the sheets and integration with Teams for coordinating with my team members is also very useful."
"The ability to work with people remotely, collaborate online, and share files are the main benefits I receive from Office 365."

Cons

"I had a very bitter experience with their mobile app."
"The auditing features of Amazon WorkDocs have not helped meet compliance needs."
"I started working a lot on Microsoft Teams and I find it a bit vast. It should be divided out a bit so that someone can use it for basic functionality, like audio, video, and calls. Then, if someone wants more advanced functionality for file sharing and team creation, and so on, they could use a separate app."
"The feature to convert PDF file to a Word document needs improvement as well as the feature to save the file automatically when typing, without using the save command."
"We have had some connectivity issues."
"There is not a significant return on investment for personal use."
"It is a pain to use, to be honest."
"I would like to see improvements in connections to external content types and their connectors."
"PowerPoint could have more features to assist users in design."
"The language feature in Copilot for Arabic specifically needs more machine learning enhancement, and the tables in Microsoft Word need to be more flexible, similar to those in Microsoft Excel."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's cheaper compared to similar products available"
"Good reporting and good value subscriptions for international calls."
"I would rate the solution 3 out of 5 for the price. I think Microsoft presents a good solution concerning the price."
"Most of the time, we purchase Microsoft Exchange licenses, which are less expensive and provide only an email platform and 50 gigabytes of email storage for free."
"For the moment, we are paying on a monthly basis because we are still adapting the support and how we want to proceed. I think we will move to paying for the annual license."
"Licensing, billing, and accounting are available from the management interface."
"We have a license to use this solution. We have an E3 license which covers many different solutions."
"The pricing is good for all the features that we receive, e.g., Skype for Business."
"The pricing is not really high, but one can get the software with the license key for free."
