Decreases user onboarding and offboarding time, and invaluable for discussing shadow IT and security

One of the most valuable features of Auvik SaaS Management is the insights into user applications and the security around that. We can understand and get full visibility into what end-users are using. Most organizations can list off the top five apps that they use but, lo and behold, we're able to discover that there are 30 or 40 apps in use within the organization that nobody knew about. From a security standpoint, helping to track those down is very critical and Auvik SaaS Management allows us to do that. The single sign-on detection feature is also very important. If we have single sign-on, we can see what they're leveraging that sign-on to gain access to. And an extremely important component of Auvik SaaS Management is the reporting engine. It allows us to perform assessments and sit down with organizations to review what they're actually doing with their SaaS apps. Typically, when we come in, they have no idea how many SaaS apps they have out there. They might not know that someone in accounting or someone in marketing just purchased something to accomplish a task. The reporting gives us visibility into that and is done in a fashion in which it's very easy to understand, with some of the executive summaries. We don't have to spend time having technical discussions about what the information means. We're able to have the discussion of what it means to the business and for solving problems there. The reporting is absolutely critical and they do a good job of it.

Hybrid solutions improve user experience but security features offer room for enhancement

One of the best features with Check Point Harmony SaaS is that they provide a static IP to every customer who enrolls for the service. It differs from Prisma Access, Zscaler, or Netskope that give a shared static IP of the PoP. For example, if you are in the U.S. or in India, in the Kolkata or Mumbai region, every customer in that location will connect to the nearest PoP, which might be in the South U.S. region. With other providers, every customer shares the same static IP. With Check Point Harmony SaaS, they always provide dedicated static IP, which activates when you turn on the network for your cloud. The benefit is that you receive a high level of security. If Prisma Access becomes compromised, every customer could be affected, but that is not the case with Check Point Harmony SaaS. This is a unique feature that has received positive feedback from users.

"The ability to see what accounts and services are being accessed at any given time is valuable, and that's also true for most of my clients. Another good use is time management. If one of my clients asks me, "Hey, how long is John accessing Dropbox throughout the day?" I can do that with Auvik SaaS Management. Auvik SaaS Management can give me a report on the usage of a single user."

"The most valuable features are application monitoring and reporting. I like putting all the filters on the report to get the desired results. Reporting is one of the essential features we use, depending on what is required. I run it monthly or quarterly. We have some reports scheduled to run monthly to track new applications coming in. We're good at going through them and classifying them."

"When we offboard an employee, we know which applications that employee used. For example, let's say Bob left the company, but we don't know all the applications he used. We can run a report showing everything Bob accessed, giving us some leverage to go back to the client and say, "Hey, these are all the applications he used. We manage these, and you still need to take care of these." It gives us expectations to provide to our clients."

I want a report showing all the products Billy Bob owns, along with associated notes, so I can discuss everything with him in one meeting. Currently, I have to click on each application individually and copy and paste notes elsewhere, which isn't efficient."
