Centralized planning has improved resource visibility and supports data‑driven financial decisions
The best features Planview Portfolios offers are visibility enhancement, robust system performance, and comprehensive resource management. This enhanced visibility in Planview Portfolios ensures that all users can easily track progress, identify bottlenecks, and make informed decisions to optimize workflow efficiency. When discussing robust system performance, the system's robust performance in meeting our various work requirements effectively and efficiently stands out. It is very stable and reliable, contributing to a seamless user experience, which enables users to focus on their tasks without disruptions. I also love the financial breakdown, planning and prioritization, and attribute collection on projects in Planview Portfolios. Planview Portfolios has positively impacted my organization since I started using it. It has enabled me to gain insights into the full scope of work consuming resources. I am able to know where the resources are being consumed more, especially which resources are consuming the most. I have been able to leverage resources management and resource time reporting, which enabled the generation of $90 million in annual revenue through labor billing to customers.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The product's most valuable feature is adaptability."
"Enterprise One has been exactly what we need."
"Against those two key criteria during the implementation process, Planview outperformed the others at the time."
"We're still in an early stage. Things will change as we use it more. I did program reports that are important and that will provide us with value."
"The biggest impact has been the ability to see your resources and what they're working on, and most importantly having your projects in one place."
"It has improved the way our organization functions by giving us the overall picture of our financials."
"The solution’s integrated product portfolio has transformed our organization’s strategy as we continue to roll out different products."
"The solution is flexible; Planview is always introducing new releases and functionality, which ends up being beneficial to the company, and we are able to do some customizations on our own along with our IT department, and that's very helpful."
"Whenever we have issues, there is always someone ready to help us. Their people are knowledgeable and responsive. They get to tickets quickly. Just three or four weeks ago, we were having issues with getting data into Planview. We submitted a ticket and the turnaround was probably 45 minutes to get a response."

Cons

"They could provide a simplified process for building and deploying solutions in the cloud."
"There are some issues with how long it takes to load the data to Planview, It just depends on what your setup is. If there was a way Planview could maybe make the loading faster, in case you do have a lot of things going on with your setup."
"From a financial perspective, it is good; from a scheduled perspective, it is not so good, and from an execution perspective, it is even worse."
"Its view into RCCP and availability does not at all help us to manage resources; it is one of the worst features of Enterprise One where everybody in our company hates the tool and are sort of forced to use it for RCCP, some teams have moved to use other tools for the same and use E1 as recording tool only."
"Even though Enterprise One is easy and user-friendly, it could provide better training like a demo. Providing more tutorials or sessions would really help."
"There can be improvement on the sense of urgency because a lot of times we've exhausted everything that we can, and now, we're reaching out. So, it isn't a, "Well, have you tried to reboot this?" We've already done everything. Once we put in a ticket, there should be more of a sense of urgency on it."
"I think Enterprise One is great at being a source for data, but our company is still running reports externally."
"I would like to be able to integrate with Oracle to supplement what we're currently doing with reporting."
"The financial piece of the tool could be better. While it may have to do with the complexity of the work that we do, it seems that the tool should be able to drill down a bit deeper into the financial area."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The platform’s pricing depends on the specific project requirements."
"The cost of other pieces and integrating them in needs improvement."
"We have unlimited licenses for all of our functionalities. Since we went global, we went with that model."
"Our licensing costs are about a quarter of a million dollars per year."
"I don't think we have necessarily purchased everything that I would have liked to have seen."
"We recently did a new bundle for all of Enterprise One. It includes some of the newer pieces, like Projectplace and LeanKit. It bundled our CTM in with it as well. I think the total came out to be about $900,000 a year. This is for unlimited licenses."
"We have several hundred licenses. It costs us several hundred thousand dollars a year."
"We have portfolio managers, resource managers, project managers, and time reporting licenses. These are the licenses that we have."
"Our licensing fees are approximately $50,000 USD annually."
