Efficient documentation generation through organized model structure with a good price-performance ratio
Whenever I begin a new project with Sparx, I have to spend time training people on how to use it since it is not straightforward. Although it's a powerful product with plenty of features, it's not easy for even experienced users to find their way without guidance. This is not the most user-friendly solution.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The product's most valuable feature is adaptability."
"It's a very practical solution. You don't need to do an advanced course to start using this tool."
"Sparx EA proposed all the required features for a good price, and continuity and quality of support."
"Sparx is a good tool for extended usage such as modeling or automated testing."
"It is a useful tool for modeling and testing automated processes."
"It is simple to build the first model for the solution."
"The features I find most valuable is the ability to create a document and then put it into a OneCare artifact."
"We are using Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect for model-based system engineering."
"It provides good utilization and it's a convenient tool for building exact architectural work."

Cons

"They could provide a simplified process for building and deploying solutions in the cloud."
"They should make the Save button easier to find."
"Sparx can be a bit slow. If you are trying to design software architecture, sometimes we run into issues and need to refresh."
"It really did not work for logical modeling. The look is very old-fashioned. You can't make the diagrams easy on the eye, so we ended up drawing them again in Visio anyhow."
"Not visually appealing."
"Running large and complex models (ours contained thousands of objects) does require a powerful machine with 8+GB of RAM."
"I think the solution could be improved visually. It's not as visually appealing as other solutions."
"Its best features are not intuitive or easy to learn. Most companies I have worked with, when I see what they are doing with it, are not using more than 5% of what they could and should be doing with it."
"Whenever I begin a new project with Sparx, I have to spend time training people on how to use it since it is not straightforward."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The platform’s pricing depends on the specific project requirements."
"Pricing and licensing are suitable even for small companies."
"The pricing for ultimate version is steeply high."
"Use floating licenses strategically."
"The licence has a costly upfront fee which gets you access. You have to pay an annual maintenance fee, which is less."
"There is no license required for this solution."
"The Corporate Edition, or one of the bundles, is the way to go."
"Its price is very good for the value that you get with it."
"The solution is quite expensive."
