An easy-to-use project management solution with good stability and scalability
The recent update on the solution has made it a little bit complex. For example, to create a team and a project, there is a separate button that you need to click. Recently they updated it with only one button making it difficult for us to create teams or supply teams other than a project. Hence the solution could be more user-friendly. Additionally, some additional features need to be integrated so it'll be easy for other companies or project managers to manage software projects.

Effective project tracking enhances decision-making but requires improved subtask hierarchy
I would like to have the ability to create more than two levels of subtasks in monday.com. It was a significant challenge as I often wanted to make a task dependent on another group, but it was difficult. It would be more efficient if it were easier to establish dependencies across different groups.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The ability to network informally is great for communicating with colleagues."
"The ease of use is valuable."
"With multiple team members working on multiple fast-moving briefs, tasks, and projects - often remotely and in different timezones - Monday.com has become our reliable source of truth to oversee and manage everything that's going on."
"Monday.com is effortless to use. You can customize it to adapt to your needs and work style. The product is beautiful and intuitive, which makes the work enjoyable."
"All employees can access it so everyone is in the know of what jobs are coming in and what jobs are going out."
"The most valuable tools are the search function, automated email reminders, and the ability to track changes through the activity log."
"Monday.com has made it much easier to keep track of a wide range of tasks whilst we have a team distributed over multiple countries and timezones."
"Having all our stuff in one place, within one tool is extremely helpful."
"The customization ability of Monday is unmatched."
"Integrations such as the one for Slack have helped us receive updates on tasks immediately as they occur by other team members."

Cons

"The product isn't easy to use. It's not very intuitive."
"The solution could be more user-friendly."
"We'd like integration with SharePoint so that it becomes easier to find and share files stored in SharePoint."
"I would love to see better integration with Google Suite."
"The tool is beneficial for some businesses yet prohibitively expensive for others."
"The stability could be improved."
"Sometimes allocating between team members via the communication tool can be difficult."
"One important feature that would help is if you store a file on monday.com and you want to email a message to someone along with that particular file, monday.com does not send the actual attachment, but a link to the file where monday.com has stored it... the link expires after no more than 10 or 15 days."
"The solution could use a more streamlined Google Calendar integration."
"I wish there were more templates because having to start from scratch was hard with a lot of things. It was not as intuitive. I wish there was a board builder function that could take you through creating your board and ask you the automation questions."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"I am using its free version."
"It's definitely affordable. I don't think it is necessarily the cheapest, but it's definitely not the most expensive. The price is well worth the value that we get out of it."
"It's quite expensive when it goes to the enterprise license. Other tools like Jira cost 5 a month, and then their enterprise license is 38 a month, which is quite expensive for what we can do. It's £500 for a tool on a large enterprise. I'd have hoped that enterprise costs go down, not up. The pro license is £14, and then everything else is much more expensive, which is another barrier for us to adopt because other comparable tools are much more affordable when you have such a high multiplier as well."
"The price is reasonable for the number of users we have."
"I think monday.com's paywalls are a little too high. Some basic features are locked behind the premium subscription. Some applications they offer within their subscription model are locked in an expensive package. These applications provide functionality that would benefit small teams, but it's too much money for a startup or a small business."
"The licensing cost is not that high for monday.com. However, if you need an implementer, the cost is high because there aren't so many monday.com professionals."
"I rate the tool's pricing a six out of ten."
"We tell others it's about $2200 for a ten-person plan and it can be adjusted; it's easy to scale."
