Admin gets the information about which computer has been infected and good to use for servers and endpoints
The important factor is that after implementing Bitdefender, we haven't found any attacks. It has a vaccine for the RDP protocol, which is specific to this. We do some customization, but it does not lack any protection. Compared to older versions, we have not found any degradation in performance in the newer versions from the last three to five years, whether for graphical or normal users. They're not complaining that we are facing problems like memory issues. Bitdefender is also customizable and granular, but once you install it, it keeps running. The admin gets the information about which computer has been infected and can take action accordingly. On a regular basis, Bitdefender's AI capability is okay. But you cannot leave some decisions to AI. You must have control. You have to look at what you're filtering, as it can be a false positive. But on a regular basis, AI can be helpful.

Advanced threat protection secures diverse workloads with cost-effective deployment
If I need logs and don't have local storage bundled with Defender, I need to add workspace and log analytics, which is costly for storing logs of 2 GB, 5 GB, 10 GB. A default storage of 5 GB for logs should be included with Defender. There are limitations in whitelisting folders and files, and the whitelisting feature for Defender threat protection was deprecated. A straightforward feature for this should be added.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I find Bitdefender to be very light. When we were using the other versions, users would complain that they would make the computers slow. But since we have deployed Bitdefender, we haven't had that."
"Bitdefender is also customizable and granular, but once you install it, it keeps running."
"It is perfectly stable. We haven't received any complaints from customers regarding stability or performance. It's been smooth sailing so far."
"Security for malware and threats is the most valuable feature."
"The features I found most valuable in Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security include anti-malware, spyware detection, firewall, network detection, and user behavior analytics. The solution also gives you a heads-up about operating system misconfiguration."
"It takes lesser energy from the system than the rest. So, we tried it for five years, and it works quite well. So we have continued with it. And the pricing is competitive as well."
"The tool has a firewall module to control traffic. It also has a feature to map incidents and provide information about attackers and the environment."
"The product offers an opportunity to monitor the things happening in our network. It also has a comprehensive dashboard."
"Microsoft Defender for Business offers the best pricing option in the market and is very cost-effective."
"The solution provides good scalability."
"It is scalable."
"Microsoft Defender for Business works well with the Microsoft Azure Security ecosystem, including Defender for Endpoint and Office 365 Cloud."
"Microsoft Defender for Business stands out due to its ease of use, particularly due to the fact that many of my customers already use Microsoft and Azure."
"The solution is effective, continuously improving, and highly regarded, especially with Microsoft's leadership in the industry."
"I would recommend Microsoft Defender for Business to others, rating it as ten out of ten."
"Defender's main strength is its integration with Microsoft Sentinel, offering valuable insights."

Cons

"The dashboard can be improved."
"Overall, Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security is quite good. It always has new features which customers can use for free, so I can't say that something is missing in the solution, though one area for improvement is that the cloud version of Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security still can't connect to a central SIEM. The on-premises version has that capability, but the cloud version doesn't."
"We had experienced a crash and had to reinstall it."
"There is room for improvement in CPU utilization."
"The solution's stability could be better."
"The initial setup should be made easier."
"I like the Application Control feature, but it's a bit tricky. Managing it can be a bit cumbersome sometimes."
"I think it would be helpful if I could get a live console directly on the machine. Additionally, if I could run scripts on the machines to respond to any incidents, that would be a great feature."
"Threat protection could be improved even though it is already a built-in feature."
"The areas where Microsoft Defender for Business could improve include the support, installation process, and wiki. I should be able to find solutions to issues quickly without having to delve too deep."
"It is not quick to make exclusions or specific configurations compared to other antiviruses on the market."
"The solution's AI is notorious for false positives, and the time you have to spend training it is ridiculous."
"Defender's reporting is rather scattered, and its URL filtering mechanism doesn't really work."
"Pricing could be lowered as it is expensive and not suitable for low-budget organizations."
"Talking with the tool's technician about any problem is very complicated."
"We face a licensing issue with Windows 11 Enterprise not reflecting in our portal, which affects activation. Microsoft's support did not resolve this issue, even after sharing remote desktop and screen details."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The tool's pricing structure is good. We use an annual subscription."
"You don't have to pay extra after buying the product."
"The general basic price is roughly $1.20 for a license with Bitdefender."
"The product's pricing is okay and it is yearly."
"The licensing costs can vary."
"It has very flexible licensing costs, and it's modular-based."
"The price is fair."
"The tool is not expensive and pricing is competitive."
"Since we're a nonprofit, we get pretty good discounts on the tool."
"It has to get more competitive because we are starting to see some of the competitors providing better pricing, and some of it, of course, is to gain market share. The Defender product pricing is probably a little higher than the competitors."
"The tool's cost has been a little high, but I do not think it was terrible."
"Defender for Business is included by default with an Office 365 premium subscription."
"The tool is cheap, while some other solutions are more expensive. I remember the tool cost about five euros for a workstation or for a user on a monthly basis."
