It's a good solution for those with limited coding experience
The visualization of the data pages could be improved. You have to a lot of tweaking to make the visualization stand out. It's basic, but there are a lot of options. So you really have to do a lot of customizing on that part. They could add some templates that are more attractive than the basic ones. It would be helpful if you could start with something that's already built rather than working on standard templates from scratch.

Fast low-code web development has transformed how I build complex data-driven business apps
Oracle Application Express (APEX) is a very great tool that is easy to learn but hard to master. The level of entry is very low, but the longer I work with this platform, the more I understand how it works and the great things I can create. For example, I can create report graphs and handle a lot of data across many levels. It's a great application to start with, and when I have experience in Oracle databases, I can utilize Oracle Application Express (APEX) as a front-end tool for the Oracle database. Oracle Application Express (APEX) helps me create reports and graphs by providing a plethora of out-of-the-box solutions that I can use. For example, I can upload data to and from the database, upload photos, create maps, and create various report types such as Interactive Report and Interactive Grid where I can manage, edit, and delete data. I have many solutions that are very helpful and ready to use right away from Oracle Application Express (APEX). My favorite feature of Oracle Application Express (APEX) is the Interactive Report because it's a straightforward report that I can create using a simple query or by selecting a particular table from the database. In the action button behind it, I have many great features that I can use out of the box, including graphs and download options for Excel files. There are many sorting functionalities and accounting features. The Interactive Report is a very great tool for quickly displaying interesting data to clients. Oracle Application Express (APEX) has positively impacted my organization by being very fast compared to other languages and products. For example, I don't have to build a site from the ground up, nor do I have to create tons of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript because Oracle Application Express (APEX) offers many built-in solutions. When I want to create a button, in another language, I would need to create it from scratch. In Oracle Application Express (APEX), I can simply use what's available out of the box. It's a very fast platform with many built-in components that I can utilize right away.

Pros

"Caspio was user-friendly compared to other solutions, and as someone who doesn't know a lot about coding, I found it easy to create a web application on this platform."
"Caspio was user-friendly compared to other solutions. As someone who doesn't know a lot about coding, I found it easy to create a web application on this platform."
"This solution offers declarative, low-code development and improves delivery speed, accuracy, and performance while providing attractive GUIs that allow professionally-styled applications without the need to know HTML, CSS, or JavaScript."
"It helps us create web pages quickly."
"It is a free product; install it and start having fun, as APEX out of the box is pretty good and very easy to get started, and you can get your data out in five minutes."
"Apex is part of your database; everything, program logic included, is happening directly where the data is, so it's fast, centralized, and easy to use."
"Our clients use this solution continuously, it has a well-designed architecture and is a simple 3rd party application, and our clients really like the new version because it does not need to be maintained very often."
"You can say it would be an eight or nine-out-of-ten for quickly creating an application that does not need strong security."
"The initial setup was not complex at all; it was very easy and quite straightforward, so a company shouldn't have trouble with the implementation."
"The solution's most valuable aspect is its Graphics Form Design."

Cons

"The visualization of the data pages could be improved. You have to do a lot of tweaking to make the visualization stand out."

"Oracle should implement vertical and horizontal data segmentation in APEX's security framework, so Dev teams don't need to do any heavy lifting in the APEX screens. This is a common issue in enterprise apps. It would be nice to seamlessly integrate Git repositories into the development process since the current solution can result in overlapping work or an eventual overwrite. The provided example apps are great, but they could benefit from some added documentation in the "explanation screens"."
"The solution’s pricing is high if you use it on the OCA platform. It’s also a little bit costly. However, if we use it on an on-premises Oracle database, the pricing is cheaper."
"Apex runs in a browser, so using the latest technology, like push notifications, would be good."
"The user interface needs to be improved."
"Better connection and integration with non-Oracle databases is needed."
"It would be my dream to merge two products into one. Visual Builder and APEX should meld in one product."
"Some of the application interfaces of Oracle Application Express are not very attractive and could be improved."
"The solution's layout could be improved for report generation to allow more configuration."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"Oracle Application Express (APEX) is free, so this is another magic of the solution. You just get charged for the database license, which I don't need."
"Oracle Express comes with the Oracle license, it is a bundle."
"The solution is free with your Oracle license or database and that is a good value."
"If you have a license to Oracle database, you can access APEX."
"I believe that the solution's pricing is high."
"I do not think this would be an ideal option for a small sized company or a startup when considering the salary requirements for Oracle DBA'a and developers."
"There is a trial version available that can be used free of charge."
"The pricing is mid-range so is neither expensive nor cheap."
