Risk-based triage has transformed container security and now prioritizes high-impact threats
The best features Qualys TotalCloud offers currently include managing cloud infrastructure and container security while facing major challenges such as alert fatigue. Traditional vulnerability scanners flag hundreds of CVEs on short-lived Kubernetes containers, some of which have no internet exposure or are gone before we can even triage them. I leverage Qualys TotalCloud to move beyond static CVSS. I use it to implement runtime exposure, correlation risk reprioritization, and shift-left integration. This notifies developers to fix a base image upstream rather than patching live ephemeral instances. In my work with cloud and container security, the biggest operational hurdle was alert fatigue. I use Qualys to shift left from static CVSS severity to context-aware risk prioritization. I correlated raw vulnerability data with real-time risk factors such as public network exposure, active runtime execution, or overly permissive IAM roles. This allows us to immediately drop the priority of isolated containers and escalate lower-severity CVEs that sit on an exposed, high-risk path. We can map these findings directly back to our CI/CD pipelines so developers can patch the root base images upstream. We have drastically cut down the signal-to-noise ratio, saved a lot of manual hours doing triage work, and ensured engineering effort goes directly towards high-impact risk reduction.

Improved investigation efficiency and visibility while custom reporting and integration need enhancement
I would like to see more flexibility in creating custom and scheduled reports in Check Point CloudGuard Cloud Intelligence and Threat Hunting. For example, being able to generate a weekly threat activity summary to specify business unit or cloud account would make it easier to share insights with management and non-technical stakeholders. More native integration with SIEM and SOAR platforms like QRadar, ServiceNow, etc., would reduce manual effort. That way, incidents surfaced in CloudGuard could automatically flow into existing workflows without extra connectors. Adding a way to tag, annotate, or assign investigations inside the platform would make it easier for teams to collaborate without switching to another tool.

Centralized cloud view has improved threat response and simplified compliance reporting
We are using Trend Vision One - Cloud Security for getting complete visibility of all the assets that exist within our cloud, and it helps us identify any sort of misconfigurations or fine-tuning that can be done to better our compliance. Trend Vision One - Cloud Security helps in onboarding all the cloud solutions or cloud providers that we have within our organization into a single dashboard, thereby providing greater visibility of all the assets. Earlier we used to have multiple dashboards to manage the same solution or capability, but with Trend Micro, we are able to get everything in a single pane of glass, benefiting our operations significantly. We are using the playbooks built into Trend Vision One - Cloud Security, which help us take a lot of response actions and bring automation capabilities into play. Trend Vision One - Cloud Security has positively impacted our organization by providing a single pane of glass visibility across all the cloud solutions that we have and reducing the number of threats we used to see earlier in the cloud. We are seeing that the number of cloud operations required earlier in terms of threat detection and response, and the time taken to detect a particular threat and take a response action, has considerably improved after onboarding Trend Micro.

"The dashboards are particularly valuable as they offer a comprehensive view of the environment, highlighting any misconfigurations."
"Its excellent graphical interface makes the scanning process simple."
"I would rate Qualys TotalCloud ten out of ten."
"One of the features I appreciate is the ability to generate daily reports without relying on anyone else."
"This solution helped me to improve and enhance our security posture."
"Check Point CloudGuard Cloud Intelligence and Threat Hunting made our work much easier as it serves as a centralized platform for all my cloud environment and provides workload protection such as malware protection for my entire cloud environment."
"During testing, I consistently saw a 70 or 75% faster investigation and reduced analyst workload, which is a concrete way it can deliver our work."
"Trend Vision One - Cloud Security has positively impacted our organization by providing a single pane of glass visibility across all the cloud solutions that we have and reducing the number of threats we used to see earlier in the cloud."
"Vision One is versatile and can be integrated with many SIEMs. You're not limited to only one SIEM, such as Microsoft Sentinel. The API integrations are seamless, and we have all the documentation needed to integrate Vision One via API."
"We use the solution to protect our cloud-based applications like Office 365."
"The most valuable part of Trend Vision One - Cloud Security is its dashboard, as it's simple. It's easy to manage, and you can better control the solution."
"Trend Vision One - Cloud Security does not utilize a lot of resources which allows our users to keep working even during a scan."
"Virtual patching is one of the key features, which is executed with their IPS."
"Detection response and cloud conformity are valuable features."
"The most valuable features are intrusion prevention and anti-malware capabilities."

Cons

"I chose a rating of nine out of ten because there is a complex interface that sometimes overwhelms new engineers."
"Two areas for improvement in Qualys TotalCloud are the speed of the public cloud platform and vulnerability detection."
"The downside is only in container security, but it has not been a long time since they introduced these models."
"Enhancing clarity regarding its compliance capabilities would be beneficial, as the current scope is limited in geographic coverage."
"Overall, we are satisfied with it. However, the response part of the Cloud Detection and Response (CDR) module can be improved. It is not yet in place according to requirements; it is not completely available even though the module has been released."
"We encountered challenges identifying the correct resource category for certain items, such as those in containers or storage."
"TotalCloud could improve its scanning of niche devices like Wi-Fi dongles and USB modems because they are often untested. It covers everything else, like laptops, mobile devices, and Bluetooth IoT devices. They can improve on the small IoT devices because hackers and testers use these."
"There is room for improvement in vulnerability scanning, particularly for PaaS environments. Currently, Qualys does not have full access to these instances, which limits its effectiveness."
"In my testing, Check Point CloudGuard Cloud Intelligence and Threat Hunting's scalability is not easy; it is a very challenging experience for me."
"Malware protection for my entire cloud environment is an area where improvements are needed."
"The product can be improved by optimizing performance."
"One area for improvement in Trend Vision One - Cloud Security is marketing; in particular, Trend Vision should update the marketing documentation. The information needs to be more comprehensive."
"The tool should improve integration with trend products."
"While it provides some data protection within its security framework, it doesn't allow users to customize policies or create their own for specific needs."
"The workbook insights generate a massive list, making it inconvenient to review."
"The licensing model could be improved. To gain full coverage, you need to spend more to buy subscriptions for each kind of service they offer. It will start to be pricey if you want full coverage."
"The pricing can get high."
"Trend Vision One - Cloud security aims to protect our assets, but the rapid spread of viruses and vulnerabilities through malicious emails remains a significant concern."
"Securing S3 using Trend Vision One - Cloud Security can cost too much. Trend Vision One - Cloud Security has a tool that requires lots of privileges. From my understanding, it's only for static application testing, so they need to add dynamic application testing, and there should be more collaboration with the application testing tools on the market. We have not used this product, and I don't know if they plan to decommission it or something. They should focus on application security because this tool's unique feature is multi-cloud support. However, they should improve integration with tools for these kinds of use cases, especially application security and dynamic scanning. For example, I would like it to support Dell SecureOps. I'd also like to see some enhancements to API gateway security."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Qualys TotalCloud offers cost-effective licensing flexibility."
"Qualys TotalCloud offers good pricing that is affordable and competitive with the market. Our partnership also provides us with additional benefits."
"Its price seems higher compared to other tools, but it is worth it. If they could adjust the pricing and make it comparable with other tools, that would be great."

"The pricing for TotalCloud is attractive and competitive in the market. Given the features, especially the dashboard, I have no concerns regarding pricing."
