Can be well-integrated with the existing systems in a company and is very intuitive to use
I once faced a problem with the tool, but I remember that I managed to work without a VPN, and then the problem with the product was sorted out somehow. An option to connect not only with the username and password but also through SMS in an easy manner is something that needs to be added to the tool. When I changed the way I connect to the tool to the SMS option, I did it because I bought a new phone, and it had a problem connecting with the tool, after which I had to go to the settings to change it, so I felt it was not very intuitive. In other platforms, the user will have two options to connect, one of which is with a username and password, and the other one is with an SMS.

Enterprise data protection has supported regulatory compliance and integrates with classification tools
In terms of functionality, many features are valuable in Digital Guardian, as the first thing for most customers is that they are using solutions such as Boldon James and Titus, which fall under the classification side, and Digital Guardian can easily integrate with this data classification solution and has a very granular level of configuration and policy tuning. Digital Guardian's data protection policies are indeed useful for my clients. Regarding Digital Guardian, I find it to be a very good solution, and in fact, it is an enterprise-level solution that has very tight integration with most of the products, with Fortra but also with others.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Above all, the possibility of keeping our data safe by placing a unique digital signature for each device we will encrypt, informing us of any unauthorized changes, is one of the most valuable features."
"We haven't had anything related to threats pass through our system in the last five years."
"They have Disc Encryption, Anti-Malware, and a VPN Blade which is beneficial for us."
"The product's initial setup phase is totally fine."
"We use the solution for endpoint encryption and it handles everything, with security, a firewall within the workstation, and DLP within the solution and on the workstation, making use of 360-degree security on one's workstation."
"It helps us maximize the operational efficiency and performance of our activities."
"We never had any complaints about the performance of computers with this tool to be able to manage the protection of disks and drives."
"The solution is pretty reliable."
"I like the solution's adaptive inspection and container inspection."
"For the price in the market, it is a little bit higher than Symantec and Forcepoint, however, I believe, especially in the manufacturing industry, it is the only solution that makes sense for them."
"Data security is now one of the most important aspects for any organization."
"It has been scalable."
"It has the added advantage of offering forensic analysis."
"So if you look at enterprise data loss prevention this solution is the best."
"The strong impact of Digital Guardian on my organization is in preventing sensitive data leaks to USB, email, and cloud, and in blocking unauthorized access in real time."
"Enhance your skills if you can to use Digital Guardian, in terms of data security, to its fullest."

Cons

"In the future, I would like to see is the ability to decrypt equipment."
"The solution is overpriced."
"Regarding the general topic of support, many have annoyances with it."
"They could improve the latency in the platform when entering the portal."
"When I changed the way I connect to the tool to the SMS option, I did it because I bought a new phone, and it had a problem connecting with the tool, after which I had to go to the settings to change it, so I felt it was not very intuitive."
"The tool should be able to recover data from a stolen device."
"While the solution works as it should, it is overly expensive."
"You do need to be careful that you don't mess too much with the endpoint, or you might have issues with the work stations."
"I think the whole system needs improvement, even though it works fine the way they designed it."
"Technical support could be better."
"It would be helpful if there was an on-premise version of the solution for companies that cannot use the cloud, such as government sectors."
"The initial setup is a bit more complex than other solutions."
"Digital Guardian is, compared to other tools, more complex to implement."
"In my experience, the area closest for improvement is the occurrence of strong false positives."
"When considering potential areas for improvement, it may be beneficial for Digital Guardian to optimize its processes and reduce the computational demands on the system, particularly with regard to high CPU usage. Although Digital Guardian offers numerous benefits, it can consume a substantial amount of RAM and CPU power."
"There are a lot of issues with the current version of the Endpoint agent. It's not stable, it's resource-consuming, and there are some performance issues. If they could improve the stability of the agent it would be great."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"As it costs $125 per workstation per year, something which is above the price of what the competition is charging, the solution is definitely too expensive."
"Digital Guardian has both, subscription and perpetual licenses, but I think when everything (all technologies) will go to the cloud they will only offer subscriptions."
"The cost was around $300,000."
"The price of Digital Guardian is on the higher end compared to other vendors."
"I rate the solution's pricing an eight out of ten because Digital Guardian is expensive."
"If I compare Digital Guardian with Symantec, the license cost is lower, but McAfee can be cheaper than Digital Guardian. It depends on how many licenses you plan to buy and how big the project is. The cost is not so high as Symantec, but not as cheap as McAfee. They can easily sell the solution for price."
"The price of Digital Guardian is expensive."
