Improves daily threat prevention with real-time detection and requires better alert tuning for faster prioritization
Check Point Infinity is powerful, but there are a few areas that could improve. The learning curve for new users can be steep, especially when managing multiple modules like CloudGuard, Quantum, and Harmony together. Some alerts can be overwhelming, making it harder to prioritize without fine-tuning. While automation helps, occasional manual adjustments are still needed. Overall, it is strong, but simplifying onboarding and alert management would make it even better. Integration with third-party tools could be smoother. The reporting dashboard could be more customizable for quick insights. Performance on very large networks can sometimes slow during updates. Overall, while the platform is strong, improving user experience, alert management, and integration would make it even more efficient for daily operations.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The tool's most valuable feature for threat prevention is the encryption alarm. I find the centralized management console, including the log analyzer and reports in Check Point Infinity, extremely beneficial for enhancing security and operations efficiency in our enterprise. I would rate it a perfect ten out of ten, as it effectively helps us analyze logs, and detect potential attacks."
"New Check Point technologies can be found via this portal."
"Check Point Infinity has impacted my organization positively, as I have seen a reduction in security incidents and response times, with threats that used to slip through different point solutions now being blocked automatically thanks to the unified prevention layers."
"It protects everything, from cloud and company networks to endpoints and mobile devices, by adopting Check Point Infinity security architecture as a strategy to neutralize fifth-generation threats that spread fast and at a large scale through different vectors."
"Check Point Infinity's threat prevention capabilities benefitted our organization."
"Check Point Infinity has significantly improved our workflow within the ecosystem, making processes smoother and more efficient."
"The detection and reaction rates are good."
"We can add our environments and can configure and manage them easily which is why administrators are happy with this tool."
"It has certainly helped out our audit efforts because we each stay compliant in terms of various security standards."
"Overall, the product supports everything already feature-wise, because it has email protection, monitoring detection, network intrusion detection, and advanced threat protection."
"This is a good solution, and whatever our requirement is, all of the features are there."
"The technical support services are excellent."
"The most valuable feature is Click-time URL protection."
"It has certainly helped out our audit efforts because we each stay compliant in terms of various security standards."
"The most valuable feature is NetFlow threat protection."
"All of the solution's features are quite valuable for us. We especially like the threat protection it provides."

Cons

"Another improvement that would make our experience smoother with Check Point Infinity is simplifying the initial setup and configuration process; while powerful, it can feel overwhelming for smaller teams without dedicated security engineers, so more guides, wizards, or automatic best practice templates would be helpful."
"They need to update the guides."
"One area where Check Point Infinity could improve is in the reporting and analytics customization."
"We'd like to see support for fiber connections."
"Technical support is something that needs improvement."
"I think Check Point Infinity could be improved in terms of documentation. I need more images and pictures, and the steps should be more intuitive."
"One area where Check Point Infinity could improve is in the reporting and analytics customization."
"The management console has given us some trouble, and the documentation is a little bit rigid in its solution paths."
"The cloud platform needs to have improvement in terms of the user interface and the different capabilities it has available. It needs to match the other leading next-gen EDR products that are available in the market. That's the reason why we are stepping away from Symantec. Their cloud environment is just generally lacking in comparison to others."
"The security features need to be improved."
"The administration interface needs a lot of improvement. It should be UI based, and simple. They need to improve it. It's pretty much not that friendly compared to what we were using as Bitdefender before. It's okay but is improving, actually."
"I think SonicWall and McAfee are better solutions."
"The product's support services need improvement."
"Scalability could be better."
"It's a strange situation where the infrastructure of the consumer or customer is behind some kind of firewall and they have always used some kind of customized proxy. In this situation, the ATP has a very tough time to pass the information to the cloud and back. To fix, it requires a more elaborate and complex configuration for that particular case."
"Entire threat protection is not available for the advanced features."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"When it comes to price, the paramount consideration is the strength of the security. If the security measures provided by the product, such as Check Point Infinity, are robust and meet our requirements, price becomes a secondary concern."
"The solution's price is quite high, and the licensing model requires extra licenses for various features like SD-WAN."
"The pricing of Check Point Infinity could be better. There is a license needed to use the solution and we pay annually."
"Check Point should provide an enterprise-wide license where the organization should be provided free hand of using any license or services for an agreed period of time (EULA)."
"I rate the product's price a six on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive."
"The product has good pricing considering the features and a global approach."
"Choosing the correct set of licenses is essential because, without the additional software blade licenses, the Check Point gateways are just a stateful firewall."
"The flexibility in pricing is advantageous, and being a special partner allows for negotiating special rates based on the project requirements."
"Symantec Endpoint Protection has an average price."
"The pricing of this solution is inexpensive and affordable."
"Symantec Advanced Threat Protection's pricing is comparable."
"Pricing is good. It is nice to have a great product at a fair price."
"The price is quite expensive."
