Enable secure development workflows while identifying opportunities for faster scans and improved AI guidance
Checkmarx One is a very strong platform, but there are several areas where it can improve to support modern DevSecOps workflows even better. For example, better real-time developer guidance is needed. The IDE plugin should offer richer AI-powered auto-fixes similar to SNYK Code or GitHub Copilot Security, as current guidance is good but not deeply contextual for large-scale enterprise codebases. This matters because it reduces developer friction and accelerates shift-left adoption. More transparency control over the correlation engines is another need. The correlation engine is powerful but not fully transparent. Users want to understand why vulnerabilities were correlated or de-prioritized, which helps AppSec teams trust the prioritization logic. Faster SAST scan and more language coverage is needed since SAST scan can still be slow for very large mono-repos and there is limited deep support for new language frameworks like Rust and Go, along with advanced coverage for serverless-specific frameworks. This matters because large organizations want sub-minute scans in CI/CD as cloud-native ecosystems evolve fast. A strong API security module is another area for enhancement. API security scanning could be improved with active testing, API discovery, full Swagger, OpenAPI, drift detection, and schema-based fuzzing. This is important as API attacks are one of the biggest AppSec risks in 2025. Checkmarx One is strong, but I see a few areas for improvement including faster SAST scanning for large mono-repos, deeper language framework support, more transparent correlation logic, and stronger API security that includes discovery and runtime context. The IDE plugin could offer more AI-assisted fixes, and the SBOM lifecycle tracking can evolve further. Enhancing integration with SIEM and SOAR would also make enterprise adoption smoother, and these improvements would help developers and AppSec teams move faster with more accuracy.

Unified dashboard has simplified managing multiple scanners and improved vulnerability remediation
The best feature and biggest benefit of the product is the ability to manage different scanners from a single dashboard. Regarding analytics capability, Kondukto provides actionable insights into security needs because it performs all the work on the customer's behalf. It checks findings and vulnerabilities from different scanners, confirms that all findings are matched together, and makes it clear and confident that the final finding is truly a vulnerability requiring action. Regarding automation features, Kondukto is fully automated and fully integrated with a plug and play approach. In terms of integration with DevOps pipelines, the benefit is that Kondukto itself is not an integration tool. The DAST tool is integrated, and I can manage the scanner. The tool itself, whether it is DAST or SAST, will be integrated with DevOps and other tools like notification tools, SIEM, and SOC. The scanner tool itself will be managed under Kondukto, but Kondukto does not provide integration. There is no need because the scanner itself will integrate with other tools.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The main benefit to using this solution is that we find vulnerabilities in our software before the development cycle is complete."
"The best features Checkmarx One offers, in my opinion, are that it is easy to use, and there is not much deep diving into this."
"Checkmarx One has positively impacted our organization as we tend to find vulnerabilities very early in the development cycle."
"Checkmarx is a powerful scanning tool, and it’s essential to have one of these products to build a safe and stable application when it comes to inviting customers to use your online services."
"The biggest advantage we have seen is that we're able to develop and deliver secure solutions in a faster time."
"Overall, the ability to find vulnerabilities in the code is better than the tool that we were using before."
"Vulnerability details is valuable."
"By using the automated testing in Checkmarx One, we have saved around one or two days in a full week of our team because we have a lot of code to do with seven markets."
"Kondukto helps consolidate security findings by correlating them to minimize false positives and giving customers a complete and clear vision of high critical findings in an easy way."

Cons

"With Checkmarx, normally you need to use one tool for quality and you need to use another tool for security. I understand that Checkmarx is not in the parity space because it's totally different, but they could include some free features or recommendations too."
"The solution's user interface could be improved because it seems outdated."
"The purchase of this solution was a mistake. I would advise others to deploy the solution and to test all of the functionality before buying and do not trust the marketing from Checkmarx."
"One area for improvement in Checkmarx is pricing, as it's more expensive than other products."
"If it is a very large code base then we have a problem where we cannot scan it (if more then ~ 30 mb zip file provided - scan is crashes or takes a lot of time)."
"When we first ran it on a big project, there wasn't enough memory on the computer. It originally ran with eight gigabytes, and now it runs with 32. The software stopped at some point, and while I don't think it said it ran out of memory, it just said "stopped" and something else. We had to go to the logs and send them to the integrator, and eventually, they found a memory issue in the logs and recommended increasing the memory. We doubled it once, and it didn't seem enough. We doubled it again, and it helped."
"The reports are good, but they still need to be improved considering what the UI offers."
"The lack of ability to review compiled source code. It would then be able to compete with other scanning tools, such as Veracode."
"The primary concerns I have are that it is somewhat expensive, support would rate as seven, and there were licensing activation issues."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is the right price for quality delivery."
"The solution is costly."
"We got a special offer for a 30% reduction for three years, after our first year. I think for a real source-code scanning tool, you have to add a lot of money for Open Source Analysis, and AppSec Coach (160 Euro per user per year)."
"Checkmarx is not a cheap scanning tool, but none of the security tools are cheap. Checkmarx is a powerful scanning tool, and it’s essential to have one of these products."
"Before implementing the product I would evaluate if it is really necessary to scan so many different languages and frameworks. If not, I think there must be a cheaper solution for scanning Java-only applications (which are 90% of our applications)."
"The price of Checkmarx could be reduced to match their competitors, it is expensive."
"Checkmarx is comparatively costlier than other products, which is why some of the customers feel reluctant to go for it, though performance-wise, Checkmarx can compete with other products."
"For around 250 users or committers, the cost is approximately $500,000."
