A central portal where you can add, stack, configure, and maintain your devices
Nearly 35,000 users are connected to Systems from America because their network is configured to cover worldwide areas. I have approximately 450 devices connected, which can scale based on requirements. For instance, if you have around five hundred to six hundred users in one office, the MR14 and MR24 series are suitable. For environments with a larger number of standard device users, the MR24 series is recommended. Cisco Meraki provides various series to meet your requirements, allowing you to manage your users efficiently. I rate the solution's scalability a nine out of ten.

Everything has worked better since we started using it
Sometimes the syncing is inconsistent. I'm confident that the devices are checking in every eight hours, but sometimes the devices aren't picking up the settings as quickly as I would expect. Some features haven't been updated in a while, and Microsoft doesn't seem interested in developing them. Unless you talk to an engineer, you don't know whether there will be an update. There are communication issues, so you might start working with a feature without knowing if it will be deprecated six months from now. Some reporting areas still need development. For example, I noticed that the reporting for driver updates is still confusing.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It's a very easy solution for the most part, it's very easy to implement and very easy to administer."
"They can provide detailed information about your devices, including their validity, license status, etc."
"The remote security feature, as well as the ability to control devices from anywhere, is one of the more beneficial features of Cisco Meraki Systems Manager (MDM+EMM)."
"The most efficient way is to prepare your integration in the cloud. After that, we can push your configuration from the cloud to the site once you connect the device. This process makes connecting the cloud and the new devices seamless and allows for easy configuration pushing."
"The most valuable features of Cisco Meraki Systems Manager (MDM+EMM) are its ability to do geofencing for devices, manage thousands of devices with only a push of a button, and quick application deployment in seconds. It's amazing. For example, in an education scenario, you can deploy an application update for thousands of iPads in two clicks."
"The solution is easy to use. However, AirWatch or Workspace might be more powerful because we've encountered issues, such as manually managing Windows updates."
"We experience no downtime, no breakdowns, all the user readings are exact, and it gives us quick analysis so we can apply security measures."
"The product provides a universal dashboard."
"I like how Microsoft Intune lets me lock down the email profile and make it accessible only on certain devices."
"Autopilot is the most valuable feature of Microsoft Intune."
"The overall user experience is quite nice. I have no complaints from end users regarding their devices enrolled in Intune."
"We have a BYOD policy, and this solution helps us manage our devices."
"I appreciate Intune's autopilot feature, which allows us to enroll devices and install applications to meet corporate requirements seamlessly."
"The ability to switch between Affinity and non-Affinity enrollment is great."
"Mobile device management is most valuable."
"Overall, I like Intune as a solution and would rate it nine out of ten."

Cons

"While the graphical user interface is user-friendly and easy to configure, I see room for improvement in integration with third-party tools."
"There is room for improvement in terms of pricing."
"The maintenance is average."
"It doesn't seem to be able to establish some VPN tunnels with other devices in a particular way that such as an ASA can do for us."
"In my opinion, the equipment availabilities and competitive pricings could be improved."
"They need to allocate more energy in terms of their offering to devices that are not Apple devices."
"The price of the solution could be reduced."
"The price could be better."
"It needs certificate provisioning for S/MIME purposes."
"It should be easier to define policies and comply with those policies."
"There is room for improvement, particularly in terms of compatibility, extending beyond the well-known major brands."
"The reporting causes problems because we're trying to gather data to present to the management, but we can't get the data they request. If a user has removed an application from his device, but it won't report it at exactly the right time. It takes time to sync from the device to the portal. Let's say we are preparing a list or deck for the number of compliant devices that meet all of the organization's requirements. In a real-time scenario, that device could be compliant, but it is showing as non-compliant on the portal. It sometimes hampers the overall decisions that we make on our end."
"A detailed device diagnostic feature is missing. Also, operating system deployment and imaging are missing."
"Intune should improve its software inventory to provide better metering of which software is used throughout the company. This is especially needed for reporting third-party software solutions."
"I would like to see easier pushdowns. Currently, we have to package our own software and then push it. Intune can make that way easier and integrate applications, such as Zoom and Adobe Acrobat, that are used by a lot of enterprise or corporate organizations."
"The solution can have some compliance problems in general and the end-point user can bypass easily the company policies in Intune."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"My customers at times have issues with the price of the solution. It is expensive, but overall it is worth it. The licensing model cost is based on how many devices you require."
"My clients find it a bit expensive compared to other systems."
"The storage is affordable and the system has some price-related issues. Therefore, keeping the price in mind, I would rate it seven out of ten."
"The price is high for the market."
"The cost of installing this solution can be more expensive depending on who is doing the installation. Cisco is very expensive."
"It's extremely competitive and very good for a product in this sphere."
"Meraki MDM is the cheapest solution we have used."
"Cisco Meraki Systems Manager is an expensive solution."
"For Microsoft 365 E5 clients, cost is not an issue as this product is one of the benefits."
"Intune's pricing is reasonable considering its benefits and the high costs it helps avoid."
"Microsoft Intune has a user-based subscription model. You can go for a monthly or a yearly payment."
"Intune is linked with Microsoft. We can deploy the Microsoft E365 license to users by Intune. There are different types of licenses, such as device administrator licenses, E5 licenses for device enrollment manually, and P1 and p2 licenses for device enrollment automatically. These are the licenses required for the administration."
"They have categorized the licenses according to the size of the business. So, if it's a smaller organization, we can choose the license accordingly. If it's a big organization, then we can choose accordingly. Everything is clearly mentioned, and we can decide. It's suitable for all kinds of infrastructure, and that's very goo"
"Every customer used to purchase licenses based on their needs."
"The price is reasonable, but they should lower it a bit to make it more competitive. It's cheaper than AirWatch and other products, but I still feel like Microsoft can make a base version or with Exchange online or a la carte only Intune version which will be useful. A customer who doesn't want to go full-fledged E3 or E5 can take out or consume an Intune solution only for their purpose, and we want to target that customer."
"For organizations that are a Microsoft shop, the pricing is compelling."
