Wireless network has delivered secure high-speed coverage and has reduced support tickets
The best features Cisco Wireless 9100 Access Points offer include the 6 GHz supporting band and incredible stability in 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz, along with features like radio active, band selecting, access point rogue discovery, and support for more than 10 SSIDs broadcasting at the same time. It supports the most secure security features, such as WPA3 and 802.1x, and many features that help secure a network, besides supporting an embedded wireless LAN controller. Out of all those features, I find myself relying on most day-to-day, and all of them are very reliable. I leverage the 6 GHz band in the locations where I install and deploy access points, which was amazing and provided all the features needed. Cisco Wireless 9100 Access Points have positively impacted my organization by helping us get a stable connection, stable Wi-Fi, stable broadcasting, and a secured network, along with very nice coverage and high-speed bandwidth because it supports Wi-Fi 6. It has helped us eliminate the need for changing access points between different models. Previously, we had issues where access points would fail unexpectedly, but with this model, it has been two years with no stability issues or connectivity problems. Since we started using Cisco Wireless 9100 Access Points, the uptime has been approximately 105 to 106 months, and we have not experienced any downtime since installation. The internet bandwidth has increased from 50 to 60 megabits per second to approximately 200 megabits per second since we started using Wi-Fi 6 features. The scalability and ability to broadcast more than 10 SSIDs helps us leverage our VLANs across all locations. Regarding Cisco Wireless 9100 Access Points' AI capabilities, I think its governance and security are excellent because they support the most-used security features, including WPA3, pre-shared key, KES, and SHA-256. Many security features are utilized in this model, including MAC filtering and RADIUS for authentication with specific features available for customers to connect. The security implementation is outstanding. I would rate the accuracy of Cisco Wireless 9100 Access Points' AI capabilities as 10 out of 10 because it is incredibly accurate. The traffic management is excellent, the coverage is amazing, and everything performs perfectly.

Offers great control and visibility to users, along with availability on the cloud
The other solutions did not offer the visibility that Mojo Networks offered. During the rolling out of the installation process, you have to go through the on-premises model to be able to make some changes. If somebody needs to make necessary changes, you must go to the on-premises model with the initial product. With the cloud solution, you don't have to go for the on-premises model, as you can make the changes over the cloud. The stability offered by Mojo Networks is better than the other products available in the market since, with other tools, you need to keep restarting them frequently, and it may be required once or twice a day, especially if it is used as an enterprise solution or in an enterprise environment, where the traffic is too high, causing the build-up of a lot of cache memory, fill-ups, and SRAM, a reason why one will have to restart such products.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"There is not much in terms of potential improvement for Cisco Wireless 9100 Access Points; the product is good on wireless."
"What I like the most about Cisco Wireless 9100 Access Points is the breadth of the portfolio."
"What I appreciate about Cisco Wireless 9100 Access Points is the convenience to operate them and install them across locations remotely or on-premise."
"My experience with pricing, setup, and licensing is that pricing is more expensive, but it is worth it."
"With the implementation of Cisco Wireless 9100 Access Points, I can confirm that we had a significant improvement in our networking, bandwidth, and fast roaming."
"Cisco Wireless 9100 Access Points have very strong roaming capability, security policy, and troubleshooting overall, providing high-performance Wi-Fi for enterprises, for large stores such as Walmart or a warehouse."
"The reliability of Cisco is the number one aspect I have seen, and the performance is pretty stable."
"I really liked the 9162 because it has Meraki integration and is essentially plug and play; once you get it on the network, it sees Meraki Cloud, appears as a new device, and all you need to do is put in the license key to register it and you are done."
"It is a hundred percent scalable product since its functionalities are good...It is a very stable product."
"Built-in guest analytics and advanced guest portal features allow our customers to create a guest experience which is typically only available with complex and expensive third-party software."
"The Mojo has proved to handle these high-density requirements and perform better than many competitive devices."
"It has given us a huge leg-up when competing with other managed service providers who use different vendors because of the visibility it gives us to customers' traffic for troubleshooting purposes."
"The fact that they are autonomous and can function even without access to the management panel is the most valuable aspect of this solution."
"The stability of the solution has been good. We haven't had any issues."
"Altogether, they are unbeatable in the market."
"The pricing was a good value and substantially less than some of the other products that we looked at, and in some cases, with some of the bigger names, this product was even close to half the price."

Cons

"Apart from that, the security measures of Cisco have not provided us with great help in reducing network vulnerabilities."
"Cisco is always expensive. In terms of pricing, it is very tough because I have lost many RFPs because of the pricing where Ruckus is much less expensive."
"Cisco Wireless 9100 Access Points have not impacted my organization positively in a way that I can identify."
"Frankly, ease of use is one of the things that needs improvement, as the management interfaces have always been complex and not very intuitive."
"The navigation tools of the GUI could be more user-intuitive in certain areas."
"The deployment process itself is complex because we need to ensure that software requirements are running."
"I have had some issues with some of the lower-end devices where I needed to do RMAs. For some reason, the devices either had an issue with the power supply or they got bricked after a firmware update."
"Cisco Wireless 9100 Access Points could improve by enhancing support. Tech support is more of a pain point."
"The user interface needs improvement. It could be a little bit more user-friendly."
"Needs greater simplicity in the management portal. Currently, the Mojo portal presents different “apps” to configure the devices, create splash pages, configure security settings, and monitor the network. This can be confusing, although Mojo has made great strides in combining these into “Aware”."
"The renewal costs that come with it are very expensive."
"Something that could be improved is the ability to easily and quickly see what speed someone is on and if there are any issues on the network. We are using the older software technology, so maybe their newest version is able to do that."
"Compared to other OEMs, Mojo Networks or Arista faces a little bit of coverage issues. So, if we put the same dBm, the power of the other OEMs indicates much more extensive coverage compared to Mojo or Arista."
"The product's initial setup phase and configuration are areas with certain shortcomings where improvements are required."
"Both further expanding the API and access to even more diagnostics, as I have found a few limitations when I am dealing with them right now."
"The user interface could use improvement, and Mojo is working on it. The features and functions are in two different places, and they are in the process of moving them into one place."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"It requires a license and that's a recurring cost and that has a really high cheque value."
"In Australian dollars, we buy it for five years at $1,200."
"We have a term that is renewed every three years."
"There are other solutions, like Ubiquiti, that have lowered their prices, which sometimes makes the argument to go with them. However, we do not bake in the WiFi for other vendors into our managed services, because they do not meet our standard offering."
"Since they have only the cloud and on-premises platform, the price looks good compared to the other OEMs like Cisco and Ruckus. For one of the Wi-Fi 6 access points for five years, they might be charging 20,000 to 25,000 INR."
"The price of the solution is too high for our country."
"I rate the product's price as an eight on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive."
"They have been a great price competitor against some of the other big brands, like Meraki, especially for cloud-based WiFi. However, Meraki has been more expensive. They beat Meraki on features for the WiFi, which makes them a better choice even if the price is the same."
