Backup has protected our office data and now restores individual emails while admins configure settings
Although Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 is a Backup as a Service, it should give slight leverage to the admins to do more of their own configurations. When it comes to Software as a Service, we do need to agree on certain things, as we do not have much control over the software. If Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 can improve, it would be better. It could be slightly better, but it is acceptable. As long as support is provided in a timely manner, it is good. I cannot tell it is fully bad or fully good. If I were to give a rating of one to five, I might give 3.5 to four. Rather than giving a help database, which is an ocean of information to search through ourselves, we should be able to open a ticket and have them guide us on how to do it. As an end-user, different levels of admins exist—a fresh admin and a more experienced admin. They need to encourage us to open a ticket quickly, and from there they should guide us straightforwardly with the steps to follow to achieve the desired outcome.

Pros

"It's a very straightforward product that is well integrated with everything."
"It's a very good solution."
"This covers the areas of backing up Office 365 that Microsoft does not include in its standard routine."
"It is a perfect, mature product."
"We are able to store it on various cloud providers such as Amazon S3, Rocket, Azure, and IBM Cloud. It can also do on-premise integration, and we are able to use storage from on-premise. We are also able to recover data. It is a really good and intuitive solution. Veeam has developed a fantastic product. I've never seen anything that I don't like about Veeam. It looks like a very complete solution. It is really mature, simple to use, and quite interrogative. It also has APIs for writing scripts."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"The solution does good backups."
"Overall, the solution is okay, the way the system is built is very good, the product offers good stability, the solution is scalable, we have found the technical support to be helpful, and the pricing of the solution is very reasonable and not expensive."
"The most valuable features of Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 are its intuitive interface, ease of use, and unlimited capacity for backup and restore."
"The most valuable feature is the capability to back up not only to the cloud but also to your local environment so a copy of your data can be kept on-prem."

Cons

"Pricing is an area that can be improved. In the next release, I would like to see better prices for the licenses."
"The solution should have backup integration features, not just concerning mail but also when it comes to such solutions as SharePoint."
"Veeam Backup for Office 365 can improve by reducing the time it takes for backups. I have mentioned this to Veeam and hopefully, in the next version, it will be a faster backup."
"Microsoft currently saves only two months of conversation history, and it would be better if Veeam could focus on backing up more than two months of conversation data."
"We would like to have a single management console for all of our backups."
"The license pricing can be reduced."
"The capacity storage is a challenge everywhere in the backup industry. The general feedback people are coming back to about this is that there is no deduplication based on it."
"I have not really seen an ROI from Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365. On the customer side, we don't really see the ROI."
"If Veeam could offer backup as a service for data backup and recovery, that would be great. We'd like something like what Druva is offering at the moment."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's a perpetual license."
"There is a license required for this solution and we pay annually."
"Its price is a little bit high, but it is a fantastic solution. It is more expensive than NetApp."
"The licensing price is quite high. It's expensive."
"It is an expensive product, and there is an additional cost involved in purchasing hardware. I rate the pricing an eight out of ten."
"There is an annual license required and a per-user fee for this solution."
"The solution is not expensive."
"Its cost is pretty high. I would rate it a three out of five in terms of pricing."
"This is not a stand-alone product and requires a standard Veeam license for your organization in addition to the cost of the solution."
