Well integrated, easy to install, stable, scalable and has good support
We use this solution to replicate and backup the databases and the information of our clients' companies. We are system integrators It's a very good solution. It's a very straightforward product that is well integrated with everything. Pricing is an area that can be improved. In the next…

Backup has protected our office data and now restores individual emails while admins configure settings
Although Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 is a Backup as a Service, it should give slight leverage to the admins to do more of their own configurations. When it comes to Software as a Service, we do need to agree on certain things, as we do not have much control over the software. If Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 can improve, it would be better. It could be slightly better, but it is acceptable. As long as support is provided in a timely manner, it is good. I cannot tell it is fully bad or fully good. If I were to give a rating of one to five, I might give 3.5 to four. Rather than giving a help database, which is an ocean of information to search through ourselves, we should be able to open a ticket and have them guide us on how to do it. As an end-user, different levels of admins exist—a fresh admin and a more experienced admin. They need to encourage us to open a ticket quickly, and from there they should guide us straightforwardly with the steps to follow to achieve the desired outcome.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It's a very straightforward product that is well integrated with everything."
"The most valuable aspect of Veeam is its stability."
"The solution is easy to use. It's very simple and clients find it very easy to find all objects and things they need with the Veeam Explorer."
"I want an additional copy of my data in the Office cloud and it works."
"The most valuable features of the solution are the scalability and the free license of up to ten VMs."
"We have backups for Microsoft 365 because it is in the account of the complete tenant compromise. If we lose access to a tenant or all of the client's data gets Microsoft 365, and they lose access to all of their emails, OneDrive, and Teams data, then at least we have an off-site copy that is not linked to their Microsoft side of things."
"The most valuable feature of Veeam Backup for Office 365 is its performance. Additionally, the user interface and documentation are easy to use and navigate."
"We are able to store it on various cloud providers such as Amazon S3, Rocket, Azure, and IBM Cloud. It can also do on-premise integration, and we are able to use storage from on-premise. We are also able to recover data. It is a really good and intuitive solution. Veeam has developed a fantastic product. I've never seen anything that I don't like about Veeam. It looks like a very complete solution. It is really mature, simple to use, and quite interrogative. It also has APIs for writing scripts."
"The most valuable feature is the capability to back up not only to the cloud but also to your local environment so a copy of your data can be kept on-prem."

Cons

"In the next release, I would like to see better prices for the licenses."
"We have found that there is a limitation in this solution where it only takes the backup of users who are using Office 365 Enterprise email IDs. We have many users in management and approximately 50 other users who are using Office 365 of which Veeam is able to capture the backup. However, for the other users who are on the local email server at that time, the solution is not able to capture the backup."
"It needs to be able to integrate with other emailing systems, like Linux."
"Pricing could be more affordable."
"While Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is a highly convenient product, there is room for improvement in its integration with Microsoft 365."
"Currently, I'm working for Huawei and they dropped the support for Huawei, so that's an issue for us."
"Technical support could be improved."
"The pricing model is unnecessarily confusing and could be simplified."
"The installation could always be a little bit easier. You do need to be a bit technical."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's a perpetual license."
"It is an expensive product, and there is an additional cost involved in purchasing hardware. I rate the pricing an eight out of ten."
"We are talking about a third party solution, so there is a licensing fee."
"There is an annual license required and a per-user fee for this solution."
"The solution is not expensive."
"The pricing is expensive."
"There is a license required for this solution and we pay annually."
"The solution is very, very, very, cheap."
"It is strictly subscribed on a per-user basis."
