Effective network and DDoS protection with suitable pricing
I use Corero for network DDoS protection projects. It is particularly effective in providing protection against network DDoS attacks I find Corero to be good, especially in a wide area. It does not have application filtering or application DDoS prevention, but for network DDoS projects, it is…

Behavioral analytics and AI automation enhance security and performance
It provides protection for network applications and infrastructure level, and the best part is the behavioral-based detection that Radware provides us, along with real-time signature creation. We also have some applications where we have botnets running, and it provides protection against them. Web DDoS targets the application layer, which is layer seven of the OSI model. For that, we focus on the Web DDoS technique for bot-based attacks because we have many applications where bots are running. We also face many random URL attacks every day, and it protects against malicious or suspicious random URL attacks. It ensures both security and performance. It achieves this by learning behavior patterns and providing protection without blocking normal traffic. These are some of the features I am particularly satisfied with in this product.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature of Corero is its ability to handle smaller attacks in terms of the amount of volume and time. You can handle almost 100 perfect of the attacks locally."
"SmartWall devices occupy only one-fourth of the width of a rack unit, making them very easy to install."
"This is a hybrid solution."
"The DDoS protection features are valuable."
"It is an agnostic and transparent inline platform, which means that the maximum visibility of the symmetric and asymmetric traffic is available, even allowing bidirectional detection of the attack."
"The most important aspect, in general, is that the price is suitable for most clients."
"It is a good solution. Its vendor support is the most valuable. It is simple and works well if you have Juniper MX routers."
"I've been using this solution for the past two and a half years at my company, and I’m pleased to share that we’ve successfully achieved all of our use cases with their services."
"The product integrates well with Cisco."
"Radware DDoS Protection Service is valued for its multi-layered defense protection, always-on and on-demand service, zero-day protection with adaptive behavioral-based mitigation, DNS and infrastructure protection, and SSL attack mitigation."
"Radware DDoS has positively impacted my organization by sorting unwanted traffic, specifically malicious traffic targeting the applications, and it has taken the burden off the perimeter firewall during incidents."
"Radware DDoS Protection Service has positively impacted my organization because we are more protected against attacks from the internet."
"Radware DDoS is very useful for us in protecting from many attacks, particularly flood attacks and SYN flood attacks, which we deal with in the banking environment."
"The most important part is that Radware DDoS integrates seamlessly and provides anomaly identification, real-time notifications, and security against DDoS attacks. It also helps us with multi-layer volumetric attacks. It shields us from global botnet threats."
"Radware DDoS is very effective in mitigating distributed denial-of-service attacks, the solution is very mature, and since Radware DDoS can detect attacks within 18 seconds, it really helps the organization against those types of attacks."

Cons

"Corero needs to improve its application DDoS prevention capabilities and user behavior detection features."
"The approach taken by Corero is to partner with other organizations in order to address volumetric attacks that cannot be handled by the hardware installed in the infrastructure. Corero does not have a solution for these attacks, so they are looking for partners to help them manage them. This approach is supplemented by local hardware, but the main focus is on the partnerships. It would be beneficial to have a more complete solution."
"Lacks international presence."
"Juniper is known in our country, but it is not very popular. There is also not enough information about Corero. Our enterprise and financial sectors don't know about this solution. They need to provide more information and do more marketing for this solution in our country."
"It could use support in Spanish."
"The product must provide more Layer 7 capabilities."
"I would like to see more focus on layer seven protection."
"There's room for improvement in the clarity of the feedback provided by the command service in the CLI."
"It could incorporate more intelligence for reacting with web site visitors."
"It would be ideal if they could expand protocol support to cover emerging communication standards and ensure comprehensive protection against diverse attack vectors."
"The speed and quality of Radware DDoS's support should be improved."
"I would like to see better implementation of a zero-day attack implementation strategy with self-mitigation."
"As a service provider, we are expecting the multi-tenancy feature on the dashboard and reporting side. It will help share reports with customers in real-time. They can directly see them online. We are working with their team on API integration with our portal. We will be able to achieve that, but it will take some time."
"Customization could be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Its price is normal."
"The price of Corero is affordable."
"The initial cost is over $100,000 for one appliance."
"I rate Radware DefenseFlow's pricing an eight out of ten."
"The Radware DefensePro was bundled together with our security platform."
"The product's pricing is a good value."
"The price varies by use case and there are monthly and annual licensing options. If you deploy on-premise, there is an annual license with the amount dependent on the throughput you need and which features you will be using - i.e. IPS, behavioral, etc."
"It is sort of middle-of-the-road for this type of solution."
"The cost for maintenance is cheaper because the majority of the deployments using the solution are in areas where cost of maintenance is also lower."
"Radware DefensePro is a bit on the expensive side."
