Integrating external keys seamlessly while has transaction constraints
I find DataLoader's ability to easily integrate with external keys valuable, which is a bit more challenging with DBM. It provides automation for scheduling data loads, and we use the server's functionality for this. Additionally, DataLoader is cost-effective since it is free. As long as I have stable network access, uploading and downloading data is straightforward.

Handles large data volumes effectively and offers competitive pricing
There is a lot of improvement required, as we still face some cache issues most of the time, which is a challenge that we expect to see resolved in the future. Additionally, there is some limitation when we are working with a tool, especially regarding In and Out parameters, and I feel that this aspect should be improved going ahead. We face issues with the API side, as Cloud Application Integration cannot handle large volumes; according to the API page, there is a limitation of 500 records or 500 MB. The AI integrated into the Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services solution is called Application Integration, where we still face challenges when dealing with huge volumes, as previously explained.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"he product’s most valuable feature is ease of access."
"I find DataLoader's ability to easily integrate with external keys valuable, which is a bit more challenging with DBM."
"DataLoader is cost-effective since it is free."
"It is a scalable solution. Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten."
"It comes with lot of features and is a one-stop-shop solution for integration, data modeling, and data governance. Everything can be built under one particular umbrella. If any issues come up, then there won't be any blame game saying that it could be an integration issue or an MDM hub issue because it's wholly owned by Informatica. That's the biggest advantage of Informatica MDM over that of any other tools that are available on the market."
"Some of Axon's valuable features include creating your business glossaries, importing DQ rules, and creating change management."
"The match and merge functionality is invaluable for discovering golden master data records."
"The solution offers good data governance."
"I would definitely recommend Informatica Data Quality to others."
"The solution is stable."
"I rate the technical support a ten out of ten."

Cons

"We need help with large data migrations. It only works well for a few thousand records or less than a million records."
"DataLoader has limitations, including constraints with file sizes and transactions."
"Dataloader has limitations, including constraints with file sizes and transactions. Additionally, at times it can be slow, and when integrating DBM, we find it more complex than Dataloader."
"There's certainly room for improvement. One crucial area is generating detailed reports on file statuses. Presently, this is represented visually, often as graphs or charts. Such reporting could offer comprehensive insights into the areas that demand attention and further scrutiny."
"For products Master Data Management or related to MDM or Data Governance, there is no way by which we can directly practice, and my team struggles at that point."
"The tool could be improved in terms of ease of use, particularly for those without technical expertise. Understanding and extracting data from the table-based structure requires some SQL knowledge and technical skills. Additionally, while Informatica MDM has moved towards a cloud-based MDM with a UI similar to Reltio, I haven't used it, so I can't comment on its effectiveness."
"The licenses are too expensive compared to before, which is why customers are now preferring other data metadata management tools like OneTrust, Collibra, and Azure Purview."
"One area that needs to improve is the user experience because it is very complex. The trial version is very complex so it's not easy to start using the program immediately. You must study the rules first."
"It is more complicated to extract data using the product compared to Visio. The system could display the details on the screen."
"I would like to see support for more data sources."
"I think everything related to the APIs and the manageability of the APIs in Informatica MDM are areas where improvements are required."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product is inexpensive and economical."
"I rate the product's pricing a nine on a scale of one to ten, where one is low price, and ten is high price."
"The pricing is high compared to other tools on the market."
"There is no doubt that it is very expensive, but the brand value comes at a cost. Other MDM solutions in the market that haven't proven themselves like Informatica are also pretty expensive. We need to understand that MDM itself is very expensive to implement. So, Informatica is also pretty expensive. I would rate it a two out of five for being pretty expensive."
"The product is highly-priced."
"It is cost effective and an easily accessible tool."
"The pricing structure is good, but having to pay for extra drivers to be used in an ICS environment makes me a little nervous."
"The solution is expensive."
"It's offers value for money. They're more competitive with respect to pricing and offerings."
