Offers good UI but needs to improve its integration capabilities
Speaking about how the tool is useful in automating repetitive tasks in our company, I would say that my company started to collect data with the help of Datamatics while also using its GPS tracking features. The tool's UI is much better than the ones offered by other similar products in the market. I recommend the product to others who plan to use it. I suggest that others use their own method of interrogation since it will help them achieve more growth in their organizations through the use of the tool. I rate the tool a seven and a half out of ten.

Significantly reduces manual effort and improves team workflows through automated ticketing
We've used Agent Builder, IXP, and Maestro for orchestration. We have created context-grounded searches or chatbots using context grounding, and we also use context grounding within an Agentic flow where a bot or agent reads ServiceNow tickets to determine whether it has been assigned to the right work group. If it has not been assigned correctly due to human error, it automatically reassigns it to the right group. I would assess Agentic AI's ability to extract data points as effective. We created an agent for the purpose of extracting data, though not in a document. We created what we call an email conversation agent that engages with a customer, vendor, or someone in an email conversation with a set goal of extracting specific data points for an action to be performed subsequently. The one automation we have deployed in production involves the agent interacting with team members to collect data points and create a ServiceNow ticket. We appreciate almost all features of UiPath Platform, with one of the most successful ones being the use of Coms Mining. Most of the new features related to AI have all been good, and we use Agentic. We have already created a few agents and have started to use Maestro for a few flows, though we are not yet there to orchestrate an end-to-end workflow. We have good ROI from the automations we have developed with UiPath Platform, which far exceeds the investment in the platform. It has saved us tens of thousands of hours in manual effort, making the team members happy to pursue other things of value.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Ability to calculate the ROI on the jobs that are running."
"The solution is inexpensive compared to many other solutions in the market."
"The product's initial setup phase is straightforward and easy to use."
"If we have one place where we can see the end-to-end journey of our automations, then I do not need to manage multiple licenses. I do not need to spend money and expertise hiring multiple people and training them on multiple platforms. Also, when upgrading the systems, if I have a one place where I can manage all my automations at the same time, including UI and background automations, then we can build low-code apps using UiPath Apps. Therefore, I can manage everything within one platform, which is either a UiPath Intelligent Automation platform or UiPath Cloud. This is very important. Because if I have multiple systems, then I need multiple stakeholders to manage, upgrade, and maintain them."
"It has mainly taken the load off of employees. We had a huge amount of tasks which weren't being done. It provides our employees time to do their other work, since we automated very manual things."
"The robots work where you can scale additional servers. They just need a place to work and a process to perform, then you can add-on. Ten bots can easily turn into a hundred bots, then those can turn into a thousand bots. From a scalability aspect, it's great."
"The most valuable aspect is the different capabilities and features that can be applied to different processes."
"The most valuable feature of UiPath is its usability. It's very easy to understand."
"Since automating with UiPath Platform, human error has reduced to 0% because the process we automate relies on the standard process that humans perform, and it is significantly faster; for example, while a human takes about five minutes to send an email and raise a ticket, automation reduces that time to just a couple of seconds."
"The most valuable feature is that it can be integrated with almost anything. We use in-house applications and we're able to integrate them through the database using endpoints and APIs. This sharing of information between systems via UiPath means our staff gets results quicker."
"UiPath has helped us with compliance-related tasks. These tasks involve reviewing various systems and taking screenshots to get proof of compliance. It's a costly process that can be mostly automated. The employee doesn't need to collect all the proofs; they just have to check if they are correct. For example, they must verify that the referenced time stamp is correct."

Cons

"Would like to see more additions to the library."
"The stability of the product has certain shortcomings, making it an area where improvements are required."
"There is a learning curve, and some training could be included to bring users up to speed."
"More videos are required. There are basic videos that can help you learn about the product, however, there need to be more in-depth videos to help you through certain tasks."
"The speed of upgrades is really hard to follow."
"With all the different tools that they have in their arsenal, sometimes it's hard to know how we can get the most out of them."
"It would help if UiPath fixed bugs in the software before they updated."
"The documentation related to new releases needs improvement."
"We went for the big wins with automations that would return a lot of resource hours, however, in hindsight, we should have brought in partners to track down and develop various use cases for automation."
"This is because the platform requires a multitude of building blocks even for the simplest use cases and when dealing with newer clients, this can be challenging."
"I would like to see a universal recorder feature added so that we can record Excel macros. You could then click a button to record the screen, and then all the actions across applications would be recorded. This functionality is available already in Automation Anywhere, but the last time I checked, it was not available in UiPath."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The tool is expensive."
"Our license cost is reduced since we don't require any IT support."
"UiPath is relatively expensive. It's not expensive if you only need to automate one or two processes, but if you need to use more, it's somewhat costly. There's also a free community version."
"On a scale where one represents the most expensive and 10 is cheapest, I would rate UiPath at about two."
"UiPath is an expensive solution but it is worth the money. You have a lot of features."
"It is based on the use case. If the use case needs several bots, it gets expensive."
"The licensing is close to optimum; however, there is room for improvement in both the cost and flexibility of the licenses."
"It would be nice if you could just buy the product instead of having the annual rate license renewals. It's expensive, but I guess we'll have to see what the ROI truly is."
"The pricing and licensing costs seem okay to me, although it is a little bit on the high side."
