Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Offers good UI but needs to improve its integration capabilities
Speaking about how the tool is useful in automating repetitive tasks in our company, I would say that my company started to collect data with the help of Datamatics while also using its GPS tracking features. The tool's UI is much better than the ones offered by other similar products in the market. I recommend the product to others who plan to use it. I suggest that others use their own method of interrogation since it will help them achieve more growth in their organizations through the use of the tool. I rate the tool a seven and a half out of ten.

It lightens the workload while giving our clients greater visibility into what's being done and how
I've used Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, UiPath, and Pega Robotics, formerly OpenSpan. I still have ongoing projects with those, which tend to be client-driven. Verint probably works better for us because it originated in the call center world. Pega Robotics is probably the only one that can match Verint in that segment. Verint is better for call center employees or back-office workers. Depending on the use case, we could have used Automation Anywhere or UiPath. Those other solutions focus on replacing workers and automating all their tasks. Verint aims to make the workers more efficient and allow management to see what the worker is doing. You can have an equally significant impact with either approach, but I prefer the human-centered approach.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Sometimes the customer will not provide any data. Using Automation Anywhere, we can easily automate to capture the customer data. Then, we can use that customer data inside the Cisco Unified Wire Voice Portal."
"We have received 70 percent optimization using this solution."
"The vision and the journey Automation Anywhere is on is phenomenal."
"Many tasks take a long time for a person to do them. Automation Anywhere enables us to do those jobs in less time."
"IQ Bots are extremely powerful. We are using them increasingly more where we're about to look through a lot unstructured sources, like PDF documents, scanned images, contracts, etc. We are able to take the data out, then use that toward processing structured data and creating insights for our clients."
"Overall, I would rate Automation Anywhere a nine out of ten."
"There is a very accelerated learning curve on the platform."
"I recommend Automation Anywhere to other users because it minimizes repetitive human tasks, saves time, and helps reduce costs."
"We believe that the value and the cost of the Datamatics TruBot really fits financial institutions' budgets much better than what we'd call the big three, the Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, UiPath."
"The solution is inexpensive compared to many other solutions in the market."
"The product's initial setup phase is straightforward and easy to use."
"The solution is very stable and we have not had any issues."
"Ability to calculate the ROI on the jobs that are running."
"Verint probably works better for us because it originated in the call center world."
"Verint RPA gives our clients greater visibility into what's being done and how. It also lightens the load on the workers by automating tasks."

Cons

"What we currently have with Fortress IQ needs to mature more, and I say this since people spend weeks creating PDDs documentation."
"There is limited scope for complex decision-making. For instance, a bot can extract invoice details, but it cannot determine if an invoice is fraudulent without AI integration."
"They will need much more support, because it is a new thing and it’ll never fail because of productive partners. It will fail if people on the “gemba” don’t adopt it."
"I would like to see a global error handler introduced, which will explicitly handle errors over the entire project."
"The AI centricity is a bit behind compared to the way we see Microsoft and AWS doing it. This is the feedback that I have also given to them. They need to expand themselves to provide more services than just RPA. Only RPA may not be enough for us, and it would not be our preferred choice for an automation tool."
"One thing I learned with Co-Pilot is that it is very static. For instance, when dealing with tables and their headers, I must program them in a form. If my build changes, I have to return to my form and update the table titles. Features like looping are missing from Co-Pilot."
"I would like to see integration better integration with Excel and SAP."
"In the next release of this solution, I would like to see a plug-and-play tool for NLP programming."
"I'd like to see more additions to the library, which I believe currently has 200 plus items."
"The stability of the product has certain shortcomings, making it an area where improvements are required."
"There is a learning curve, and some training could be included to bring users up to speed."
"Would like to see more additions to the library."
"Verint RPA needs a more robust toolset to create complex UIs for workers. It's probably not just this product. Almost all automation solutions have similar limitations."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"If we count the integrations that we have done with Appian, which is where a lot of our savings is from, we are well over a million dollars in savings. This is from only doing development for about a year and a half."
"If it is saving FTE and Generating a good ROI then it is Worth Investing."
"It's justified because we have saved quite a bit of money at the company and many manual hours. Overall, it justifies the cost."
"We have seen ROI on one of the process, but not on the other processes yet."
"Currently, it stands as one of the more expensive RPA tools available."
"I don't agree with the IQ Bot licensing costs, which depends on the consumption of the document rather than per bot or user. This is confusing for me, because most of the cases for us in a possible future scenario, there would be a lot of invalid data to be scanned to get to real data. E.g., we would have to supply approximately 100 pages of scanned data to extract two pages of original data. In these type of cases, the IQ Bot might be a costly venture."
"The pricing and licensing are definitely moderate to costly but easily recoverable by achieving ROI quickly."
"The price is very reasonable."
"The tool is expensive."
