Easy to set up and use, and has a helpful network device inventory function
The vendor needs to do more to promote this product in certain regions, helping it to gain market share in territories where it is not widely adopted. The problem with this vendor is that they are too focused on revenue and sales numbers. If a partner is not able to generate the revenue that they're expecting, they put them on hold until they can generate interest and traction in their region for the products. It comes down to the management's mindset. They have a good product but they don't have much patience for a territory that is slow to adopt.

Replaces internal DNS servers effectively with strong support for network security
For users not already working with Infoblox, it is advisable to present it as a centralized integrated solution to handle DNS IPAM. Not all customers understand DNS security threats, so emphasizing its importance is crucial. On a scale of one to ten, I rate Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection as ten for the overall solution.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"This product has an inventory function to help maintain a list of the equipment, which is quite good."
"Centralized management of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM helped us a lot in simplifying and automating the management of network and services."
"The most valuable feature of Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection is its performance and visibility."
"It is a stable solution."
"Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection is considered a mandatory DNS solution in the banking sector in Egypt as it has a significant impact on the industry."
"Infoblox DNS is quite stable. We haven't faced any failures post-implementation, and we haven't received any calls for troubleshooting or protection issues."
"Grid high availability technology ensured network reliability, resilient network services, failover, recovery, and seamless maintenance."
"I like that Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection is one hundred percent good, performance-wise."
"The most effective feature we find is the ability to log traffic."

Cons

"The vendor needs to do more to promote this product in certain regions, helping it to gain market share in territories where it is not widely adopted."
"Infoblox DNS is much more expensive than DNSSEC, which is offered by other vendors. Customers should consider the cost of DNSSEC since it is a significant factor."
"The portal for technical knowledge for Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection needs improvement. It is not very rich and could use enhancement."
"There needs to be more capabilities in order to configure the console itself instead of the user interface dashboard. Configuring the DNS or DHCP through the console instead of the GUI dashboard would be better."
"Infoblox needs to adapt its protection to better cover enterprises, particularly in the context of pricing when compared to competitors like Cloudflare."
"There is a steep learning curve to be able to use Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection well."
"The service monitoring information could be simplified of this appliance and the information displayed on the dashboards could be improved. I have not found one dashboard to be perfect. For example, in Splunk, I can create a dashboard in Grafana. However, in Grafana, it takes a very long time to create them. There should be another API to do it better."
"Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection could be more user-friendly because you need knowledge if you want to use it. To handle the solution, you need to be a subject matter expert, so this is one area for improvement."
"They should release frequent updates for its on-premises version."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price of this product is very reasonable, especially considering that a company's reputation is priceless."
"The price of Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection could be reduced, it is expensive."
"I am not sure about the price of the solution, but I heard it is expensive."
"There are no additional costs to the standard licensing price of the solution."
"Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection is a little more expensive than other vendors."
"The solution is expensive."
