Great features, effortless integrations and offers an enhanced experience for users
Some of my current wishlist items for improvements would be to extend the existing timeout setting or have that setting configurable at a user level. Currently, when designing and testing larger workflows, the sessions timeout and re-authentications are frequently required. Also related to the designing and testing of larger and more complex workflows, navigation is sometimes cumbersome. A means of easily navigating and following the various connectors and workflow links would be a welcomed addition.

Automation has transformed daily operations and now delivers faster, more accurate data flows
The best features in SnapLogic are the drag-and-drop interface which makes it easy to build data and application flows. No heavy coding is required, making it ideal for both technical and non-technical users. SnapLogic also offers pre-built snaps, real-time and batch processing, API management and integration, cloud and hybrid support, dashboarding and monitoring, error handling and retry mechanisms, scalability, security and governance, and transformation capabilities with built-in functions to clean and transform data, expressions, aggregations, and mappings. SnapLogic offers auto-mapping and smart schema detection as additional features. SnapLogic can detect schemas automatically, which helps when sources evolve or change, and this matters because there is less manual mapping work.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Well-managed version control of workflows and the simplicity in promoting workflows through each environment has aided my team in developing workflows for various environments without the risk of losing development work."
"It has improved our integration with our data supplier."
"The Flowgear tool is helping us reduce the manual work that is done."
"Being able to seamlessly make changes to how one can do mapping visually without having to be a seasoned developer is great."
"The solution has increased efficiency and productivity and saved us time and money."
"Great for data flow."
"The no-code visual front end, along with pre-built samples, allows someone with very little technical ability to get an integration up and running."
"By using snaps instead of functions in code, you can see the building blocks of the integration visually, making it extremely easy to connect to various business systems and product integrations rapidly."
"What I found most valuable in SnapLogic is the ETL feature, particularly the Transform Snap Pack, for example, any kind of reading or writing on Transform Snaps. Other than that, all the third-party connectivity tools such as the SAP Snap Pack, Salesforce Snap Pack, Workday Snap Pack, even the ServiceNow Snap Pack, I find all those are pretty useful in SnapLogic."
"The API architecture makes it easy for orchestration."
"SnapLogic is more user-friendly than Boomi in terms of debugging. You can move the mouse to a place, and it will record and show the data easily."
"The feature I found most valuable in SnapLogic is low-code development."
"The connection with SOAP is the best feature."
"The technical support from SnapLogic is excellent, and I would give it a complete ten."
"SnapLogic positively impacts my organization, mainly in three areas: speed, system reliability, and maintainability."

Cons

"The software itself needs to keep up with the daily demand to service all clients as the need arises."
"Currently, when designing and testing larger workflows, the sessions timeout and re-authentications are frequently required."
"The product needs to improve the self-help tools and samples."
"We would like to see more learning videos for beginners."
"The UI could be improved."
"The initial setup was a bit complex as we were new."
"The product would be nice if it could provide the deployment features in the lower packages."
"Connecting to data behind enterprise firewalls has been tricky."
"We'd like zero downtime in the future."
"If the AI capabilities and integrations were more intuitive and easy for new users to learn, it would be greatly beneficial."
"The biggest issue we have faced in our company with SnapLogic is regarding the EDI format"
"One area for improvement in SnapLogic is the transparency in the flow of data. It needs to have more transparency. Right now, users only have a preview option at the end of any job flow, so at the end of any Snap Pack, there is a data preview option that lets you review the data and see how it's moving. What would make the solution better is more debugging and more access to change data from the preview panel or more functionality in terms of the preview option."
"From the HR point of view, or for HR tech, improvement is required. A couple of connectors are not working with all the relevant APIs, and there is always a restriction in terms of fetching the data."
"As for improvements, the monitor that I currently use sometimes gets stuck and I am not able to expand and view the child pipelines in a much easier way."
"SnapLogic doesn't provide any on-premises software, so users have only cloud-based software to use."
