Has faced usability challenges while managing integrated components
We are working with web gateway and full endpoint security. URL filter is a notable feature. While it is not specifically related to Forcepoint Secure Web Gateway alone, if you have the complete Forcepoint solution, it can integrate with other Forcepoint products, such as DLP solution and email gateway. The URL filter of Forcepoint Secure Web Gateway is good for web gateway. Clients and consumers do not prefer it because the interface is not good. When using FSM with DLP, web gateway, and email gateway, upgrades cannot be performed simultaneously since Forcepoint Secure Web Gateway might need an upgrade while email gateway does not, despite having the same manager controlling them. Forcepoint Secure Web Gateway works well with banking and small companies. Email gateway is less needed as everything is moving to the cloud.

It has significantly increased the amount of work we can perform, but blocking devices could be easier.
It could be easier to put devices on the blocklist. I would like the ability to block a device with a click of a button. Currently, we have to sift through different groups to block a device. It would be nice if Scalefusion allowed me to block without moving the device to a different profile. Another helpful feature they could add is the ability to migrate from one MDM to another. I'd also appreciate more extensive cloud storage. They give you 1 GB by default, but sometimes that's not enough.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"There is some sandboxing available, which is quite useful."
"Most valuable features were content filtering and monitoring."
"The feature that I find to be most valuable is the flexibility of the single endpoint."
"In terms of functionality, Forcepoint is the best web proxy available."
"They have well-integrated web security and have the enterprise DLP included in the cloud as well."
"Scalability-wise, it was pretty good, as we had deployments that were easily over 10,000 users and there were deployments that were 34,000 at that point, and they managed to get the product to that point on the scale pretty well."
"The value of Secure Web Gateway is the visibility it offers and the ease by which we can put controls in place."
"The critical role is web URL filtering."
"Scalefusion has significantly increased the amount of work we can perform and has made it much easier to achieve our goals efficiently by eliminating tedious work and cumbersome processes."
"Scalefusion is easy to use, and they have a broad knowledge base, so you can quickly find answers if you're unsure how to do something. The articles on the knowledge base are well-written, with clear steps on what to do for a specific scenario. That part is well documented."
"Its enhanced support for iOS and Windows devices has been particularly beneficial, expanding our service offerings to customers with diverse device environments."

Cons

"Managing the endpoint for both DLP and web security should be simplified."
"In the on-premises version, I don't like the deployment and structuring of the device."
"An area for improvement would be the classification of websites - it can take a long time for new websites to be classified."
"A feature we wish to see addressed in the next release of Forcepoint Secure Web Gateway involves its administration."
"Its upgrades can be quite complex, and they don't always go as per the plan."
"I would suggest focusing on improving the GUI's stability, especially when implementing new filters or patches."
"Allow for faster exemption of websites or the ability to reclassify websites."
"Forcepoint can improve the Secure Web Gateway for enterprise-level services. If some internet service providers want to offer Web Proxy as a service, these appliances cannot handle that."
"One area for improvement could be streamlining permissions during initial device setup, especially for corporate-owned devices, to reduce manual user interaction and expedite deployment."
