Offers the most simplest and easiest UI to use
I would not like many changes in the tool, but I think the 15 GB space provided by Google Drive Enterprise needs to be increased to around 25 five GB, as it would be really helpful for users. These days, the resolution of pictures and everything else has been increased. If you take a picture from an iPhone, it could easily be of around seven to eight GB. Photos are memories that one would want to keep or store properly. I believe that it is not possible to save a lot of photos in Google Drive Enterprise since it only provides 15 GB to users. The product does not offer a bit more storage space for users, which makes it an area that needs to be considered for improvement.

I love the backup capabilities and the offline sync
We use OneDrive to share documents throughout the organization and collaborate. It is also used for backups.  The backup capability is one feature I love about OneDrive. I also like how it syncs when you're working offline. Everything is updated once you connect again. It takes too long for…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable features of Google Drive Enterprise are the secure file-sharing service. It is necessary to communicate with people, and the safe large file transfer is good. It's very useful and critical for us to communicate with each other nowadays. They integrate well with other Google solutions, such as Google Documents and Google Spreadsheet."
"The tool is intuitive and easy to use."
"The integration with Gmail, Calendar, and Google Meet is the most valuable."
"When we collaborate on a team project, everyone has the opportunity to contribute to the project."
"It allows multiple users to work simultaneously on a document."
"The initial setup is easy."
"Even if you lose your laptop or device, your data will still be accessible on Google Drive Enterprise. Therefore, keeping your files on the tool is a safe option. You can access it from any device if you have a Gmail account. When you create a Gmail account, you automatically get access to free Google resources, including 15 GB of Google Drive Enterprise storage, which is shared across all Google products."
"We can use the product to store large documents we cannot always carry."
"They have support for integration with a lot of tools."
"Image management is great since the search is simple, and accessing images with labels is easy."
"The feature that I have found the most valuable is that Microsoft OneDrive works with any Enterprise Cloud Solutions Office app. You can edit a document on the cloud, share documents with your colleagues, and monitor changes. You can access your work almost anywhere. You can also sync Microsoft OneDrive with your workstation so that whatever you are working on gets automatically backed up to the cloud at regular intervals. So even if your system crashes, you still have a copy of your documents in the cloud, which I found very useful."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is the amount of space allotted to each user that is issued a subscription."
"It's quite easy to use and then of course it is quite well integrated to the rest of Office 365."
"The backup capability is one feature I love about OneDrive. I also like how it syncs when you're working offline. Everything is updated once you connect again."
"One of the good features is that the users are not even aware that they're using it."
"Scalability is good just because it is a cloud-based product."

Cons

"Google Drive Enterprise can improve by having better compatibility with Microsoft files. Google Drive Enterprise sometimes blocks Japanese characters in documents."
"The vendor must increase awareness about the tool among the common people."
"The product does not support certain formats."
"The search function in Google Drive Enterprise could be improved as it currently requires looking through many documents to find the right one."
"The storage space customization is limited, starting with 2GB and jumping significantly higher without intermediate options. Learning to use the admin console can be complex and overwhelming for some users. Additionally, the subscription payment method could be simpler, as updating payment details can be challenging if a credit card expires. For simple users, Gmail is fine, but business users often require more control."
"Improvements could include better editing features within a Word document, similar to the characteristics of on-premises versions, such as more formatting functions. Another improvement could be file transfer from the browser to the desktop, making it as simple as drag and drop."
"Google Drive Enterprise is not scalable."
"Google should also make it simpler to manage rights and access for different users. I want to share one folder with some people and another with other groups. It's not easy to manage. You have to use Google's web interface to assign rights, but IBM Box lets you permissions directly on the Windows interface."
"It is not very stable because there are a lot of bugs."
"If I want to pick out certain criteria of pictures, Google enables me to do that whereas OneDrive is a bit sort of flaky."
"Support has not been the same since the beginning of COVID lockdowns."
"Technical support is not very impressive and is typical of large company software support."
"No one gets an alert when files are deleted."
"An online video player would be great, since sometimes you have to download the video to play it."
"An increase in the capacity of storage in the free version would be nice."
"There are not enough ways to assign permissions to shared folders and files."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Google is much cheaper than Microsoft."
"Google Drive Enterprise is free for everyone to use."
"I pay for the additional storage. Otherwise, it's free as a basic plan, 15 GB."
"The licensing is yearly. We pay for the high-tier subscription."
"There is a monthly fee that we pay for the use of this solution and the price is fair."
"Storage is the only product offered and that makes it expensive to use."
"You need to pay an extra cost to use more space."
"We pay a monthly licensing fee for the solution."
"This is a pricy solution, given that we are only using it at 50% capacity."
"Using this software, it has had an amazing impact moneywise on our business. It allows us to share documents without the need of extra hardware."
"It is free if you are using Office 365, and you get a terabyte of storage with your account."
"We pay a lot for the Enterprise version, but it is a premium service."
"OneDrive comes with Microsoft 365 so it is just an added part of that package."
"The price of Microsoft OneDrive is reasonable and compatible with competitors."
"The licensing is expensive and on a yearly basis."
"Costwise, it is a great option. In most cases, it is a free space, which will be more than enough for most customers."
