Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Automation has transformed payables and receivables but still requires manual handling of exceptions

A specific example of a test case that failed during UAT for HighRadius Accounts Payable relates to the cash applications process when receiving payments from customers. We have two types of customer or vendor payments: miscellaneous payments and customer or vendor direct payments. Direct payments need to be applied to customer or vendor invoices, and those cases passed as expected. However, miscellaneous payments need to be posted to the journal entry rather than customer or vendor invoices. HighRadius Accounts Payable lacks the capability to handle these cases, so manual intervention is needed for them. HighRadius Accounts Payable can be improved in cases where once payments are loaded into the system, users can easily filter exceptions where the system is unable to perform the work. Users can then focus on those cases, perform cross-checks and double-checks, and verify that the payments are applied correctly. This method would improve accounts payable processes. An improvement is needed when we receive payments that need to be tagged to multiple vendors or multiple customers. We can add multiple vendors or customers in one instance, but if we receive the same scenario in the future, we must add multiple vendors and customers into HighRadius again. This process needs improvement from HighRadius.

The best features Sage Intacct offers include the import functionality, support for customization, and the platform that allows me to modify whatever I want. The triggers and reports are built very well and user-friendly, so I can modify this, and this is one of the best features it provides. The import functionality helps because once I download the template from Sage Intacct, I can fill out the specific columns with the data that I need to import into the system, and it will do the work instead of adding those details manually. The platform services allow me to add functionalities such as sending an email once I generate any AP bill or approve vendors. Additionally, I can call external API services or Sage Intacct API to validate those fields, which is good for users. Sage Intacct has positively impacted my organization through improved collaboration and saved time. I can import data easily, and since it is user-friendly, I encounter fewer errors. For example, the work I used to do in one or two days now gets completed in one or two hours.
