Centralized dashboards have transformed workforce trend analysis and speed up decisions
Tableau Enterprise helps us to consolidate the data and visualize daily and weekly trends in a clear and centralized dashboard, offering powerful features such as interactive dashboards, real-time data refreshing, advanced visual analytics, role-based access control, secure data, and seamless interaction with multiple data sources and automated reports. This will help us to analyze trends and collaborate across teams and scale analytics across the organization. These features help my team specifically by centralizing all employees' data in one place. This helps us reduce manual tracking and gives us real-time visibility into work from home versus office trends. The interactive dashboards allow quick decision-making, and the automated refresh time saves us a lot, while role-based access ensures data is shared securely with the right stakeholders. Tableau Enterprise has had a strong positive impact on our organization by improving data visibility, speeding up decision-making, and managing reports efficiently. The team can now access and track trends more effectively, and collaboration has improved using interactive dashboards. Overall, it has enhanced effectiveness and fostered a data-driven culture across the organization. The specific outcomes showing this positive impact include speeding up decision-making, which is the biggest impact because it saves us more time. Reporting time actually reduces sequentially since the dashboards refresh automatically. Data security is stronger, and data accuracy has improved, thanks to a centralized data source. Decision-making is also much faster since leaders can view real-time impacts instead of waiting for manual entry.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Holistics Data Software is easy to use, and the price is suitable for my company."
"The dashboards are amazing, with different report types and stunning visuals. Most importantly, Tableau's AI with machine learning automatically predicts features and reports based on historical data. These are the three most valuable features for me."
"Tableau has provided the organisation a means to allow business people to explore their data at their pace."
"Tableau is a wonderful tool, but you should know the proper methodology of using it and the specific situations for which it is helpful."
"The most valuable feature is the interface, which is user-friendly and intuitive."
"Tableau is great if the targeted users want highly polished visualizations of the data and from an exploration use case, the question(s) for the data are unknown."
"In particular, I believe in the ease that Tableau provides for generating statistics and content in real time."
"The solution is easy to use, flexible, our clients enjoy seeing the data on maps, and you do not need to be an expert in SQL to use it."
"The solution has a lot of customization when comparing to Microsoft BI."

Cons

"The learning curve was quite hard for us to master all the features at the beginning."
"The solution could improve the scalability, it is difficult to make changes."
"Tableau support could be improved."
"While Tableau is flexible it doesn't deal well with data that comes in a predetermined organization- i.e. data cubes."
"There is a pretty steep learning curve, the product would be better if it were somehow more intuitive to use."
"I would rate the stability as three when comparing it to Tableau and ten being the least stable."
"Pricing is steep."
"The solution does have scalability issues."
"Licensing can be expensive, so it’s best to determine scope and implementation plan."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"It is reasonable and cheap as compared to other major tools. It has a good price, and people go for it because of its pricing."
"Tableau is an expensive solution compared to Power BI."
"We are paying an annual licensing fee."
"At $70 per month, I think the price is a bit scary. I have a small consulting firm in Ghana, working in about 15 different African countries, and when it comes to our part of the world, $70 a month is a lot of money for software."
"The licensing model of Tableau has changed since we initially purchased it three years ago and it is more complicated, and I have found it to be more expensive. They have lost market shares to Microsoft BI. My company will probably change solutions this year because of the increased pricing model."
"Buy 50 at a time. Project your use base every three months, and project your requirements forward."
"I wish there was more of a subscription model with the pricing when it comes to Tableau, so you can get all the latest version upgrades/features if you pay monthly/annually."
"I believe it has a lifelong license, and once you purchase it, you don't have to renew it, but I'm not sure."
