Centralized dashboards have transformed workforce trend analysis and speed up decisions
Tableau Enterprise helps us to consolidate the data and visualize daily and weekly trends in a clear and centralized dashboard, offering powerful features such as interactive dashboards, real-time data refreshing, advanced visual analytics, role-based access control, secure data, and seamless interaction with multiple data sources and automated reports. This will help us to analyze trends and collaborate across teams and scale analytics across the organization. These features help my team specifically by centralizing all employees' data in one place. This helps us reduce manual tracking and gives us real-time visibility into work from home versus office trends. The interactive dashboards allow quick decision-making, and the automated refresh time saves us a lot, while role-based access ensures data is shared securely with the right stakeholders. Tableau Enterprise has had a strong positive impact on our organization by improving data visibility, speeding up decision-making, and managing reports efficiently. The team can now access and track trends more effectively, and collaboration has improved using interactive dashboards. Overall, it has enhanced effectiveness and fostered a data-driven culture across the organization. The specific outcomes showing this positive impact include speeding up decision-making, which is the biggest impact because it saves us more time. Reporting time actually reduces sequentially since the dashboards refresh automatically. Data security is stronger, and data accuracy has improved, thanks to a centralized data source. Decision-making is also much faster since leaders can view real-time impacts instead of waiting for manual entry.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Holistics Data Software is easy to use, and the price is suitable for my company."
"This is the best product in this category, among all BI tools available in market; top ranked as per Gartner's Magic Quadrant report."
"The UI part is the best, and the end-users can easily get started with Tableau Desktop or Tableau Online because of its user-friendliness."
"If you want to analyze data, discover insights, communicate your story with data, or impress your customers with great visualizations, Tableau is by far the best tool."
"We are able to create reports that are more helpful to our front-line employees, and they are able to implement decisions much faster."
"The primary use case of this solution is for the BI daily usage and all of the KPI for analysis."
"Tableau is easy to use."
"The solution allows for the possibility for end-users to do their own reporting."
"Tableau is extremely good at dashboard creation, providing clear and concise visual presentations."

Cons

"The learning curve was quite hard for us to master all the features at the beginning."
"I would like Tableau Prep to be integrated with Tableau Desktop. I would also like more customizations for tables."
"The performance could be better. At times, it can take up to one minute or more to open a workbook, which is very frustrating for the users."
"I would look at Tableau's security and performance. I take a long time to process the hundreds of thousands or millions of records that must be processed every day."
"Similarly, in Power BI, for integrating with the latest ML algorithms, we have decision trees and primarily multiple machine learning algorithms. We don't have such a feature in Tableau."
"The scalability is not the best because the software is complicated to learn, this limits the number of people using the product."
"Formatting controls could use some improvement."
"I feel Tableau didn't cater to each and every requirement within the team."
"Connectivity seems to be a sticky point, but it's also a hard nut to crack at the level that I would love to see."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"It is reasonable based on what it offers."
"The company chose to purchase a creator license for me, which was $70. With that license, you can also be an administrator. We also have 20-25 extra licenses and they cost around $20-$35 each. Those are for normal users who will be viewing the dashboards. Those are monthly charges."
"The cost of the solution should be improved."
"We are paying an annual licensing fee."
"ROI is very high, but it requires a data preparation/blending tool."
"In Indian Rupees, Tableau costs about 30,000 to 40,000 per year."
"It is reasonable and cheap as compared to other major tools. It has a good price, and people go for it because of its pricing."
"I rate the product price in the Indian region a seven to eight on a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price, and ten is a high price."
