Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

A scalable solution which is easy to install and use
I do not use the solution personally as I am not the end-user. It is merely one of the solutions that we offer to our customers. We act as consultants, solution providers. We have around 60 customers who are using the solution. I would, for sure, recommend the solution to others. I consider the profile of the project to be quite good at the moment. I rate Another Monday as a nine out of ten.

Significantly reduces manual effort and improves team workflows through automated ticketing
We've used Agent Builder, IXP, and Maestro for orchestration. We have created context-grounded searches or chatbots using context grounding, and we also use context grounding within an Agentic flow where a bot or agent reads ServiceNow tickets to determine whether it has been assigned to the right work group. If it has not been assigned correctly due to human error, it automatically reassigns it to the right group. I would assess Agentic AI's ability to extract data points as effective. We created an agent for the purpose of extracting data, though not in a document. We created what we call an email conversation agent that engages with a customer, vendor, or someone in an email conversation with a set goal of extracting specific data points for an action to be performed subsequently. The one automation we have deployed in production involves the agent interacting with team members to collect data points and create a ServiceNow ticket. We appreciate almost all features of UiPath Platform, with one of the most successful ones being the use of Coms Mining. Most of the new features related to AI have all been good, and we use Agentic. We have already created a few agents and have started to use Maestro for a few flows, though we are not yet there to orchestrate an end-to-end workflow. We have good ROI from the automations we have developed with UiPath Platform, which far exceeds the investment in the platform. It has saved us tens of thousands of hours in manual effort, making the team members happy to pursue other things of value.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution is easy to learn and with it, it's easy to replicate knowledge."
"In terms of development for our developers, it is very easy and quick to learn because Automation Anywhere has provided an online academy where developers can easily learn the features. It is very easy. If someone does not have a coding background, they can also learn from it very easily because it is just drag and drop and very interactive."
"If we talk about the automation RPA, it definitely has worked very well for us, giving good savings of more than 180 FTEs after implementing more than 200 plus bots."
"With the cash flow generated just on the one bot we had operating, it's paid for itself in the first month."
"The organizations where we have implemented AA have seen tremendous benefits achieved in terms of time and cost-saving with the highest quality of deliverables."
"It helps improve performance and helps companies save time and money."
"The Capture command has been a lifesaver for me in each of my use cases and the advanced Excel functionalities like running macro, reading and manipulating data, etc. It allows the bot creator to leverage the inbuilt functionalities that AA2019 has to offer to a great extent."
"We were able to demonstrate that this application can do wonders for the organization, help us to digitally transform the way we're working, and introduce a new way of working to any organization."
"The solution is very easy to use."
"The initial setup is very quick."
"The UI Explorer can examine the underlying structure of the application's user interface."
"I am proud to have UiPath on my resume as it is valuable for career growth."
"The most valuable feature is the easily accessible tool, such as the ARI framework, which I have used extensively."
"Automating has saved us a lot of hours and given our team more freedom to be more creative and more productive."
"I have seen time saved and value from using UiPath Platform so far; we have 800 people saved now with using UiPath Platform in terms of FTEs, and that is per year, the time I am saving with UiPath Platform."
"UiPath has improved my organization in many ways, helping us automate mundane and repetitive tasks, saving us lots of time, enhancing productivity, and reducing the error rate so we can complete our tasks as per client requirements."
"The fact that you can scale automations without having to pay attention to the infrastructure for doing so is quite critical. The infrastructure could require a lot of maintenance resources and affect costs, so that feature is quite important."
"UiPath's most valuable feature is Orchestrator."

Cons

"Automation Anywhere needs to improve the startup time, as it tends to lag at the beginning of the day."
"My experience has been that if the person who codes the bot is not very well-trained, then they might create unstable bots. So, it's not the platform. It is just how somebody has coded the bots which can bring lot of instability to them. I recommend that when you are using a coder that the person well-trained and have a good amount of experience already working on bots. They shouldn't be newbie or beginner who comes in to code because that will impact the quality of the code itself."
"If you want to use Chrome then there are three or four additional steps that need to be completed."
"Cloud API vision and OCR engine integration should be more effective."
"With Citrix, we need a dedicated server to work with it. This has become complicated, as it is not easy to pull all the systems together into one place. It would be better if the Automation Anywhere team could make this easy and simple."
"I would like to see integration better integration with Excel and SAP."
"The support and user community need improvement."
"My experience with the pricing, setup cost, and licensing is mixed. It is somewhere in between, not the most cost-efficient but also not the highest cost, so it can be better."
"The solution should come with language customization, which would simplify its use for our customers."
"In UiPath they should improve the input and outputs of processes. I found it very complicated."
"My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for UiPath Platform is unfavorable because it's too complicated."
"Task management is complex and difficult for new users. They should simplify the interface for new users. There are lots of flow charts and automation things in task management, so I would suggest streamlining it."
"We work with Google Cloud and are excited about the possibility of a partnership."
"We have had some issues with StudioX."
"I think UiPath needs to do a better job of setting expectations and defining the skill level required."
"There are some selector issues when it comes to web automation and desktop automation. There is a robot selector. When we feed the data, it tries to fetch the UI elements from that particular data, but that's not happening 100%. That could have some improvements."
"The support is a little bit lacking, response-wise. Just like in banking, where they give you a relationship manager, they should provide someone who is responsible for a project. That person would be responsible for responding to your queries quickly and efficiently."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We have seen ROI on one of the process, but not on the other processes yet."
"On a scale of one to ten with ten being the most expensive, I rate the price of Automation Anywhere an eight out of ten."
"I have heard that Automation Anywhere is expensive."
"We have seen the tangible benefits of taking monotonous work off people's plates, creating capacity, and cost reductions."
"This solution costs approximately $3,500 USD per license."
"The licensing cost for Automation Anywhere is high."
"It is not too expensive, but there are many tools available in the market that can provide the same functionality at a cheaper price."
"In terms of pricing, it's not at all cheap, and that's a concern. The licensing cost is very high. While I don't know the exact prices of other tools, Microsoft offers the lowest pricing for its RPA platform compared to UiPath and Automation Anywhere."
"There is no licensing fee for our customers."
"We would like to see improvement on the ROI, as we need to free up resources. Too many man-hours are being spent on trivial tasks which could be automated."
"Our licensing fees are approximately $140,000 USD annually, which includes all of the bots, Orchestrator, and the Studio."
"The licensing cost is very high."
"I'd love to see UiPath's pricing align better with the product maturity life cycle. UiPath's licensing model drives the cost up rapidly, whereas their competition has been cutting prices and bundling more. It's hard to stick with the technology when they're significantly more expensive. This segment is being flooded with new products."
"UiPath is priced high."
"If you purchase an Orchestrator then it's pricey but you receive the benefit that it runs many processes simultaneously."
"It is a bit expensive, but it is cheaper than Blue Prism. We have six robots in total. There are no other costs in addition to the standard licensing fees."
"I like that there is one license for all basic needs, but it is still expensive. Sometimes, we don't need all the tools or capabilities. We only need basic automation and processing for certain clients, but we're required to get the full license. They can improve its licensing and provide more flexibility. They can create more plans or packages, or they can let the users choose the capabilities they need and base its pricing on that."
