A tool that offers a proper view and division of all databases while also allowing users to do continuous monitoring
I have seen that the tool's installation phase has some problems regarding the versions, specifically the version of SQL. Trustwave DbProtect doesn't accept some versions of SQL. Some credentials when you are installing give some problems, but all of them did pass through the installation phase but gave a certain amount of hard work to be done during the installation phase. The aforementioned area needs to be considered for improvement. The pain points with Trustwave DbProtect were about the installation and problems with the different versions not being accepted. A more compatible version of the product with other databases and operating systems should be possible.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The company focuses on and has a passion for security."
"The solution is very stable."
"The benefits are operational. The outcome comes from preventing an attack on the organization. On the operational side, you generally have good, decent security measures for your application, database, and digital assets."
"Imperva Data Security Fabric has positively impacted my organization by helping to onboard all cloud databases; not only the on-premises databases, but all cloud databases are also onboarded, which helped significantly."
"If an organization wants to do both the cases like I have a database, I have a web server, I want to secure both the infrastructures, I know I can strictly go for the Imperva, and Imperva will give management of two gateways for two different solutions, and that's it."
"Imperva's most valuable features are ease of use and log correlation. I also like the ability to trace activity from the host machine to the server access, the user details, and the exact query that they executed. If a database administrator or application process executes a query on the database, people know exactly what was executed, including all the variables."
"Flexible reporting allows for customization that keeps the admins from having to interact with system automation."
"The level of detail provided is excellent, allowing the resources that manage the actual devices to determine whether or not the activity is a legitimate concern and to rectify the activity in a timely manner."
"Database activity monitoring is valuable because it helps monitor and identify any fraudulent or suspicious activities that are executed on the database."
"I have found that transfer and vulnerability scanning are the most valuable features of this product."
"We are happy with the product overall, including its features and support."
"This solution helps our clients to monitor their database use, and detect violations of the policy."
"Transfer and vulnerability scanning are the most valuable features of this product."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is that you can have a good view which is provided with a proper division of all your databases, which you can see in Trustwave DbProtect."

Cons

"It is very expensive. Its price can be better."
"Capacity management is a major issue with the application."
"Design/ease of the learning mode feature."
"I chose a rating of eight because there is a bit of a delay in support from the support team."
"Sometimes the reports are cumbersome, and you have to drill down to get more information."
"There is room for improvement in the firewall capabilities when it comes to additional features such as Traffic Shaping, Connection Pooling and Load Balancing."
"The solution could improve by having more integration."
"Imperva must work on more features for z/OS."
"I have seen that the tool's installation phase has some problems regarding the versions, specifically the version of SQL."

"The product does not have encryption or data masking."

"The pricing is reasonably good in South Africa."
