Handles large data volumes effectively and offers competitive pricing

There is a lot of improvement required, as we still face some cache issues most of the time, which is a challenge that we expect to see resolved in the future. Additionally, there is some limitation when we are working with a tool, especially regarding In and Out parameters, and I feel that this aspect should be improved going ahead. We face issues with the API side, as Cloud Application Integration cannot handle large volumes; according to the API page, there is a limitation of 500 records or 500 MB. The AI integrated into the Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services solution is called Application Integration, where we still face challenges when dealing with huge volumes, as previously explained.

Offers predefined rules and easy to migrate data with minimum customisation of rules

The customization of the data needs improvement. We need to build basic SQL queries rather than being able to do it within the tool. We need to be able to analyze the SQL queries and then rerun them based on customer usage. We should be able to tune the existing process by using simple SQL queries based on the customer's requirements. In future releases, I would like to see more features around Preload and postload reports. From the end-user point of view, it is not very feasible to read. I need to know how the data has been migrated. I need to know whether the complete data has been migrated, only the required data has been migrated, and how it was migrated. So the postload reports will give validation between the source data and the target source. It would give exact picture of the data migration.

If any issues come up, then there won't be any blame game saying that it could be an integration issue or an MDM hub issue because it's wholly owned by Informatica. "What I like best about Informatica MDM is its structured, table-based approach. Unlike Reltio, where data is only visible through the UI and cloud-based, the solution allows access to normalized tables. This means I can directly query and see data in each table. For instance, I can easily get all customer details from the customer table. However, for more complex queries, like seeing all customer interactions with the organization, some SQL knowledge is needed to join different tables and retrieve the details."

The data governance is good, but what's lacking is a demo. For example, if there's a new feature in Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services, the documentation for that new feature is limited, so if Informatica could give a more complete documentation and more demos, that would be better for the users. Right now, there isn't any issue with any of the features of the solution. It's the new feature awareness or user training, and improved connectivity that I'd like to see in the next version of Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services."
