Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Technical Account Manager at a computer software company with 11-50 employees
Unified endpoint control has improved patch workflows and streamlined remote device management
I like the patch management side of things in this solution. You can set deployment rings so patches are rolled out in phases rather than hitting everyone at once, which reduces risk. I quite like that feature. I also appreciate the endpoint visibility when you're in the dashboard. You can see device health, the compliance status, software inventory, and other information all in one place without jumping between tools. Ivanti Neurons for ITSM is a key tool and is very important to my service delivery efficiency. Since implementing it and having used it for two years, the ease of use is a significant advantage because it covers Windows, Mac OS, iOS, and Android, so I can operate and manage devices all from the same console. This is good in a mixed device environment. From a Windows perspective, the BitLocker key retrieval feature is very helpful. The analytics and reporting tools in this product are helpful. I can see device health and out-of-warranty status. This is crucial in keeping our environment up to date and secure.

Operations and Support Manager at a consultancy with 501-1,000 employees
Flexible, straightforward implementation, and helpful support
We are in the process of switching from Kayako to ManageEngine Desktop Central. We went through a full review of our service desk processing and one of the solutions we purchased was a ManageEngine Desktop Central. When we were looking at the integrations into the Kayako system and how it works, we found that ManageEngine Desktop Central did very similar things. It had better layers of classification, other templating, and additional features that we did not have with Kayako. Our service manager made the decision to switch at that time. My advice to others wanting to implement Kayako would be for them to plan out their service processes first, prior to trying to implement them in the tool. We made the mistake of jumping in too soon back 10 years ago. I started using it in a way that we could have tooled it in a different way to make it better. We could have had more implementation process information to make sure we received what we wanted to out of the solution. I rate Kayako an eight out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The Object Cloning command is the most useful feature. Through the use of this command, between 30% and 40% of the process automation is complete."
"The most valuable feature is its Excel integration."
"My impression of the impact on visibility in the automation lifecycle is that we help to standardize the process and become more productive in those activities and visibility."
"It has absolutely been worth it for us and has provided us with good value."
"The features like IQ Bot and Metabot have helped our organization to gain business trust and provide a greater number of unique solutions to our clients for complex projects."
"We have some bots which are saving a week or month of multiple employees' times."
"For the beginners, it is an easy tool compared to other tools in market. Users can understand the line by line code and code it easily. There is no syntax or anything else. They can easily drag and drop, executing the bot directly."
"Automation Anywhere is one of the most popular RPA vendors offering powerful and user-friendly RPA capabilities to automate the business processes that are performed by humans. AA is a web-based management system that includes a control to run end-to-end automated business tasks for companies."
"This is an excellent alternative to ServiceNow for smaller companies."
"My advice to others considering Ivanti Neurons for ITSM is that it is a good platform to obtain comprehensive help in one location, and users can utilize this platform comfortably."
"Everything in Ivanti Neurons for ITSM is excellent, and they are doing their best."
"The solution's technical support is excellent. I rate the technical support a ten out of ten."
"Understand that this product is a great investment."
"I like Cloud Neurons. Since it's a cloud version, it's much easier to enhance productivity because it collects all the information automatically."
"The most valuable feature of Ivanti Automation is the opportunity to use more or less any kind of scripting software."
"It's easy for the IT admins at the company to use. It isn't hard to understand and there are lots of features you can use out of the box. If a feature isn't available in Ivanti Automation, you can always script it."
"The most valuable feature of Kayako is its flexibility, as we can do anything we want with it, which is nice."

Cons

"AA should include more features in the mobile app, such as monitoring and debugging bots."
"Automation Anywhere can be improved in certain areas specified in the cognitive zone where the information needs better OCR Engine + Machine Learning capabilities. Also, they can improve on the System Identified region function of the IQ Bot - Our team faced a tough time in handling that as we were not able to assign variable to System Identified Region as the IQ Bot tool wasn't allowing it."
"IQ Bot is useful but the price is not friendly."
"Automation Anywhere's current requirement for upfront annual payments limits flexibility for customers."
"Anything that can be done to simplify the solution. I would love to see it where anybody who can run Excel will be able to create bots. Right now, I am watching everyone around me struggle with the tool."
"Automation Anywhere could use to be more stabilized."
"One area requiring improvement is the debugging process. When I use a multi-structure with conditions to switch from one bot to another, successful debugging of the entire process is not feasible. Each bot has to be debugged individually."
"One improvement would be to implement a log mechanism within the workflow, similar to other automation tools. Currently, the log mechanism uses a text file. If we want to monitor a process, we need to check manually."
"I have had to open a few support tickets with the HEAT Service Management. They are very good but there are some areas that they could improve on."
"Currently, the solution only supports SOAP web services, but a REST interface is on the roadmap and has been confirmed for mid-next year."
"There could be an improvement in the ability to easily integrate other systems without extensive development."
"The user interface could be more futuristic and modernized in terms of styling and colors."
"There's a lack of integration with other products. This needs to be improved."
"Support needs improvement in terms of responsiveness and timeliness."
"They could provide product integration with popular platforms."
"I believe that short videos should be created and uploaded for newcomers to learn quickly since time can be limited."
"Some of the reporting in Kayako could be improved. It only has two levels of classification and if there were additional levels added for reporting purposes it would be awesome for our environment."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Our advice is that anybody interested in this product should negotiate product bundles in order to reduce the cost of installation and setup."
"The pricing is fair. My company is part of a big organization, so the pricing is very advantageous."
"We have seen ROI on one of the process, but not on the other processes yet."
"We save 34,000 hours of time per year and have recouped up to $6000 in lost revenue."
"Although the initial implementation cost of Automation Anywhere is relatively high compared to other options, its annual subscription cost is lower than UiPath's, which has the opposite pricing structure."
"There is a free trial so that they can get an overview, and there are different licenses that are very affordable and can suit every business model."
"UiPath is exceptionally more expensive than Automation Anywhere. UiPath is far ahead of its competition, but in terms of finances, Automation Anywhere offers better value and is more effective for organizations seeking cost-effective solutions."
"This is a value for the money product."
"I came to know from my team members that my company used to operate ServiceNow but shifted to Ivanti Neurons for ITSM due to its low licensing prices."
"If you want to add more users who can handle support there will be additional fees. What we call our extensions, we need to pay more for. They tell us that we need to acquire more licenses or something like that. I think it's very expensive, because in terms the pula, our local currency, it's about 20,000 per license for each user. It is an annual fee."
"My customers do direct sales with Ivanti, and they complain that Ivanti Automation is more expensive than other solutions."
"The price is on the higher side. The support is included in the standard licensing fees."
"The product is affordable for small businesses."
"Kayako is a highly affordable solution."
