Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Macros and automation have streamlined workflows and reduced manual effort across support teams
The ability to communicate on the Zendesk ticket through the actual user software, so TOPs, would have been helpful. Somehow seeing a user's ticket history within our app would have been beneficial. That is the only thing that I do not think existed at the time that might have been helpful. Some people struggled with Zendesk, but it was always easy enough to show them how to use it and what they were missing. The only times we really had people report concerns about it was when they did not understand that it could do that or how to use it in that way.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"A project that we automated: A person used to spend about eight to twelve hours every week to finish the process. The bot finishes it in half an hour. Now, the person just reviews it, then passes along the information. This has helped our organization because originally EMEA and APAC would not receive the files the same day that they were processed. But because the bot only takes a half an hour, everyone can now receive the files on the same day."
"It is easy to use and developer-friendly. The development time is very short. If any system needs to be changed or any functionality needs to be incorporated to any of the technology, it usually will be a long process, like months. With this innovative tool's automation, it is very dynamic, easy to develop, and deliver results quickly. With some of our use cases, we were able to deliver within the time frame of two to three weeks, which is the biggest plus with this tool."
"Automation Anywhere is one of the most popular RPA vendors offering powerful and user-friendly RPA capabilities to automate the business processes that are performed by humans. AA is a web-based management system that includes a control to run end-to-end automated business tasks for companies."
"Automation Anywhere has led to faster growth in our organization."
"An easy to deploy and learn automation tool that can save resources, effort and money."
"We've noticed time savings of up to 40 minutes, based on wait time and verification delays."
"The digital worker is interesting."
"I find the terminal emulator feature very valuable, particularly in how it interacts with IBM mainframe automation."
"Ivanti Voice is an enterprise platform that integrates with our other systems to automate and utilize the artificial intelligence or AI engines within the platform."
"If their price is acceptable, I would recommend using Zendesk to all companies whose clients and employees need a simple way of raising issues."
"The most valuable feature was its simplicity as it was made easy to use."
"It works really well, is very seamless, and is very good software."
"Users can create their own tags, and they have their own views which are very nicely organized so they can see what is happening at any given time."
"I'd say that the integration options that Zendesk offers are the most valuable features to our team."
"The benefits I have seen from using Zendesk include faster response times; as a CSM, faster response is the goal, which solves the customer's challenge in a timely manner, and Zendesk offers that capability, which is beneficial."
"The initial setup was incredibly simple: choose your integration method, set up your fields and workflow, and it’s running."
"We loved the notifications and the way to build custom views for a specific user's open tickets and to see how long they have been open, how long it was since the last request."

Cons

"AA has many features but the issue is with the loss of overhead on computing resources."
"If you were to come to me and ask for an OCR to be done, I could only guarantee you about eighty percent accuracy."
"Understanding what we wanted to do the tool after setup, that was complex."
"The initial setup was complex because we had to make sure all the security aspects were approved by our leadership."
"The help Automation Anywhere offers during setup isn't great for smaller companies like ours."
"The initial implementation of Automation Anywhere regarding the elastic search and database set connection can be a little difficult."
"It is frustrating at times to experience this instability, but we do find a solution and we are working on it to be better."
"Automation Anywhere could use to be more stabilized."
"The solution's reporting and customization could be simplified and enhanced."
"Ticket forwarding and the ability to add subscribers to tickets as some back and forth correspondence needs to be brought to attention of several team members, sometimes across different departments."
"Report generation is still slightly tricky and not very customizable as per my inquiries."
"As Zendesk is an international business and has customers world-wide, it would be nice if it would provide 24/7 support."
"Many channel inquiries are not possible to collect into a single interface."
"Report Generator needs to be improved."
"There could be improvements in integration, which can be achieved with APIs or tools like Zapier."
"The look and feel could use a little more polish."
"The solution could integrate better with QR codes from some websites such as Facebook."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Pricing is a bit high when compared to other available tools; however, the tool is worth the cost."
"The cost is high for small-scale businesses but it is fine for medium and large enterprises. Its high licensing cost may affect small-scale businesses. Reducing licensing costs would benefit many users."
"If we count the integrations that we have done with Appian, which is where a lot of our savings is from, we are well over a million dollars in savings. This is from only doing development for about a year and a half."
"Subscription for Automation Anywhere (AA) is paid yearly."
"When I started working on it, it was difficult to obtain a trial version (barrier to entry). Now, they have a Community Edition, which may make it easy to get started."
"We would like them to change the license model of charging per bot."
"The cost can be reduced a little for users."
"The product starts at $10,000 and then it's up to you regarding how much you can consume."
"We got a deal with Ivanti that made the solution cheap."
"We pay for the solution on a yearly basis and my understanding is that the cost is about $30,000. That's the cost for 24 to 25 agents."
"You have to pay extra for better support. So it's not only the license that you pay for, but you have to pay extra for the support as well."
"The price is very competitive."
"Zendesk's licensing is not cheap. For Enterprise, we are paying $200 per agent. It's a per-month cost, so it's pretty steep. There are some services you need to pay extra for. For example, with Zendesk Guide, we had to buy the most expensive offering in order to get Multibrand and everything. We also had to pay a lot of money for themes."
"From what I hear, Zendesk's pricing is a little expensive."
"There are different plans that are offered. We are using the entry-level plan. The overall price of the solution should be reduced. The price is too high."
