Brings reporting, planning, and prediction together in one seamless workflow
I think the areas of SAP Analytics Cloud that could be improved or enhanced are mentioned by users or companies, and they would definitely mention the price in terms of planning licensing. From a consulting point of view, I don't see any major weaknesses. It is reasonably well-developed, and the perfect strength is that innovations are coming on a quarterly basis. It is slightly behind other tools in terms of the number of graphical outputs. Some tools have it faster, but every increment of innovations contains new features. On the other hand, it is perfectly fitting to the SAP environment, with seamless integration to all SAP modules, not only ERP but also SuccessFactors and other tools from the SAP family, for example, integrated business planning for the production planning. This is really a highlight compared to other tools.

Pros

"The most valuable features of Kyvos are reconciliation and its ability to query big data."
"I like the product's capabilities. The clarity and scenarios are the main features that allow us to forecast using machine learning algorithms and make decisions."
"Seamless planning is equal to live data, and when using live data it is very helpful because I get the data up to date, I do not have to manually refresh it, I can perform all sorts of calculations on my presentation or calculation layer, and present it to the client with live data being fetched into the system, which helped greatly for BI capabilities and allowed me to create multiple reports and dashboards to understand the sales-related dynamics of the current business in real time."
"One feature I've found most valuable is Discovery, a logistics tool that will place the dashboard for you on the fly and, for example, if you select a country, it will give the entire picture of where a product is high and where it is low."
"I like the connectivity the solution provides with other products, as one can see different data sources, such as SAP ERP and the in-house hub, create a business warehouse, and import multi-dimensional data from flat files and various sources."
"I have found that the feature to drag and drop widgets based on the data source, and import them into stories to be valuable. This way it helps the end user to create stories themselves."
"It is the best business intelligence platform."
"This is a robust solution and I like that it's oriented to develop what we need in our ERP."
"What I like best about this solution is that it is built into the SAP line, making it easier to integrate with other SAP products."

Cons

"Since I couldn't find any tutorials or a handbook, I had some initial difficulty understanding the UI and the whole interface of Kyvos."
"We are currently working on connectivity with S/4HANA, but we would like to have better connectivity with our legacy systems."
"The cost is an area that could be improved."
"With the R Visualization, the coding is somewhat complex."
"The connection works only for importing data. Currently, there is no real-time integration between SAP Analytics Cloud and CRM. There are some features present in the classic but not in the optimized version. If I need to create something specific, I often have to switch the versions. It would be more convenient to have a single product that incorporates all the necessary features."
"The analytics app is designed for programmers. You need to know programming languages in order to use the solution effectively, and some users aren't programmers."
"My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing of SAP Business Data Cloud is that it is very high compared to implementation costs."
"The price of SAP Analytics Cloud varies in perception among customers. Some customers say it's overpriced while others say it's reasonable; it depends on the use case and the type of customer."
"There are significant hindrances in the reliability area of SAP Business Data Cloud related to connections. On one project, we created two to three connections for each module; however, when we moved from the development phase to the UAT or quality check phase, we found that our connections had expired, which meant redevelopment work, loss of time and money, and we also lost the trust of the customer."
