Endpoint monitoring has become faster and has reduced alert response time for our clients
The best features that Alert Logic MDR offers include AI and behavior analysis, which I find most valuable. AI and behavior analysis mean that within AI there is static AI analysis and behavior analysis with subtypes. For example, if there is any file or a certain subtype, or if ransomware is happening, or any tool or app is being used, there are subtypes of AI. I appreciate that Alert Logic MDR has a separate AI for each type. Alert Logic MDR has positively impacted our organization by minimizing the alert SLA timing. When we used our other endpoint detection and response solution, we required at least fifteen minutes to raise one alert. After using Alert Logic MDR, we integrated it with SOAR technology, so within five minutes, the alert is raised to the client. Efficiency-wise, reducing the alert SLA timing to five minutes has been very beneficial. Whenever we receive an alert from endpoint detection and response from an endpoint to the Alert Logic MDR console, the system directly has the protect mode, conducting the kill and quarantine process itself. We only have to perform static analysis, and we have the playbooks, so they conduct some static analysis from there and directly raise the alert to the respective team.

Unified security monitoring has reduced alert fatigue and improves proactive threat hunting
I use real-time monitoring in ReliaQuest GreyMatter, which significantly improves my security posture. The unified interface helps reduce alert fatigue. I would estimate it saves around 20% in alert fatigue reduction. The automated threat hunting capabilities in ReliaQuest GreyMatter help me stay ahead of threats. The machine learning algorithm benefits my threat intelligence by providing deeper insights and predictions. I use various metrics to rate the success of the predictive threat intelligence in ReliaQuest GreyMatter.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution was consistently available, and I cannot recall any instances where it was down."
"Alert Logic MDR has positively impacted our organization by minimizing the alert SLA timing."
"It is a very stable product."
"The initial setup is pretty straightforward."
"It implemented pretty quickly; we have everything you need, and while it would typically take a lot of other solutions weeks to set up, this set up within fifteen minutes, which is pretty slick, and it has a lot of different interfaces."
"The most valuable aspect of Alert Logic is its technology platform. They have SOCs in the US and Europe, giving them global visibility of the threat landscape. They detect and respond to threats in minutes. Their biggest value is human expertise. You're being attacked by a human, and you cannot respond to it unless you have a human on the other side. They have the human and technological resources to respond."
"It improves our security. Before, we didn't have anything scanning our containers. We had software scanning all the physical servers, but we had nothing to scan our containers. With Alert Logic, we can do that."
"My advice would be to go ahead with the product because it really is a very good tool that adds a lot of value."
"ReliaQuest GreyMatter has helped us to reduce security incidents by 89%, which is a significant amount of incidents we have seen."
"ReliaQuest GreyMatter saves around 60% of time or resources."

Cons

"For every new client or every new case, my company has to spin up a new instance, because of which there is a new URL."
"The setup process was complex."
"We cannot say we have seen a return on investment ROI-wise, but our first priority is to secure the endpoint."
"I would like to see it do initial scans and start capturing data, which it will truly analyze, not just be a reporting system saying, "Here is an email. Here is an email. Here is an email.""
"Alert Logic needs to expand its SOCs to serve more markets, such as the Middle East and Asia. There should be infrastructure that covers more time zones. The company should also develop an EDR that is natively integrated into their solution. Currently, a client must buy another EDR solution like CrowdStrike or Sophos. I think Alert Logic is developing this. Built-in email security could also be developed and integrated."
"They have ideas and email you whatever they find, but they don't have a dedicated security team who will work on an attack or a specific security instance."
"The interface, particularly the dashboard we use for looking at alerts, could be improved."
"One pain point we have, for example, is if the search keyword is related inside an XML, we will get an XML; if it is a normal log, however, you will get a null pointer exception or something, and we don't get the complete trace."
"Areas that have room for improvement include user interface and integration."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Our ROI would probably be zero. We don't even use it. It sits in there. We get emails and just delete them. Around the world, we don't even use it."
"Price of the solution was very reasonable considering the size of our organization at the time, and so it worked out perfectly."
"Price-wise, Cybereason Managed Detection & Response is effective for larger companies, but if you have a small company with less than 1,000 employees, then it gets expensive."
"Alert Logic has better competitive pricing than some of its competitors."
"Almost any product that is on the AWS Marketplace is super easy to subscribe to."
"Its pricing is very reasonable considering what you get for what you pay. There is quite a good value there. Its licensing is also very logical. They've got the licensing price points at a reasonable level. It is on a monthly license but a yearly contract. There are no additional costs to the standard licensing fees."
