Data visualization has become faster and flexible and now enables quick multi-source reporting
Qlik Sense is very easy to use, but sometimes integration is a bit challenging. In our case, we wanted to integrate the cloud version of Qlik Sense, and Qlik Sense is not supporting the on-premises version, so we moved to the cloud version. We had a lot of challenges when integrating Qlik Sense SSO with the reports that we wanted to show on our web app or mobile app. There were a lot of challenges along with that, but eventually, we overcame those challenges, and things are working fine now. The integration part is one point for improvement; it could be more simple because I found some complexities with it. The single sign-on part is a little tricky and is not straightforward. We have done multiple rounds with their technical team, and although it got resolved later on, I think that it could have been better.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"The technical support from Germany is very good."
"Mashzone is the best product on the market for process analysis."
"This solution is made to be easy-to-use. If you can use Excel, you can use MashZone."
"The most valuable features are real-time data, introspective data, and input data, and the interface is also very easy to use."
"The overall ability to build quick wins with simple data to drive insights."
"The most valuable thing for us is the speed in obtaining data and statistics of our business because due to the complexity of our corporate structure, many times we lost too much time in collecting the data."
"Qlik Sense has opened up a new quick-to-market BI tool, that allows business requirements to become a production-ready reality within days rather than months."
"It's an easy-to-use solution that gives business users incredible insight into your business."
"Qlik helped a lot during this uncertain period."
"Qlik Sense provides better visualization."
"Qlik Sense is a very powerful and useful tool, and it is very worth mastering, especially for people like me, who are much more visual than coders."
"This solution has definitely improved our organization, as people are able to drill down information, see visual maps, and create a robust analysis, enabling teams to make decisions faster than they otherwise could."

Cons

"MashZone is not very good to use with big data, statistical analysis, or financial analysis. This is not what it is built to do."
"MashZone could be faster and provide more support for IoT platforms."
"If I try to analyze big data in MashZone, it is just impossible."
"The navigation is quite clunky and outdated."
"Advanced graphs or visualizations must be in the built-in product, instead of building with open API extensions or mashups."
"Unless you pay a premium for Priority support the experience is not great."
"As we are a very process-oriented company, we would like to see more extensions maintained from Qlik, because it's a huge budget problem to choose the right one."
"We have faced some issues with NPrinting, so I feel there is some improvement needed such that it would allow the use of variables and calculative fields from Qlik."
"Mostly when it comes to the loading of the data and reload times of the reports, it could be better."
"Power BI is more user-friendly than Qlik Sense."
"Qlik application automation needs additional work and features."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"Licensing could be cheaper."
"The costs can initially become quite high. Make sure you have a clear understanding of who will truly use the product as opposed to someone that will simply receive the end report."
"Ultimately, the cost is low, and it implements fast. The limiting factor is how quickly your staff can keep up."
"Licensing is quite good, easy, but slightly expensive."
"We have 20 licenses for Qlik Sense, and it is a special license that allows people in the whole company to use it over time. You buy this license and there are some minutes that can be used. For example, for the users that used only a few minutes in a month, we use this license. All the people have the ability to work with Qlik Sense. However, the number of licenses is not the number of users. The number of users that uses Qlik Sense is approximately 35 people."
"Qlik Sense pricing and licensing is like that of QlikView. It's on the high side for a small company, but it’s competitive among its peers. Use of licenses (referred to as tokens) is a bit confusing. There is a login access pass for infrequent or anonymous access."
"You will spend more time on educating your staff than licensing the product."
"Currently, our ROI is clear and concise decision-making. This timely addition will easily add $15 million to our bottom line in 2017."
