Facilitating seamless integration and robust security support
The integration process is very easy, which is crucial for our organization. Another valuable aspect is the support from Microsoft. Whenever support is required, it is readily available. Additionally, I appreciate the technical expertise Microsoft brings to the table. The security features are highly satisfactory, with various options providing flexibility to implement security measures based on specific compliance requirements.

My main feedback is about the account management. I feel they should connect with clients more frequently, beyond just selling the product. They should actively seek feedback and tailor the approach to client needs. It shouldn't always be about pushing additional products. My main suggestion is focused solely on the account management approach, specifically fostering closer and more proactive client relationships. So, the pricing could also be bit improvement.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Azure API is scalable."
"I have found this solution to be easy to configure, simple to use, and flexible."
"Easy to integrate API management platform. It is a stable and scalable solution."
"The analytics phase of API Management is very beneficial for tracking API usage and identifying suspicious users."
"The solution is quite stable. We have no issues with it. there have been no crashes and we haven't experienced bugs or glitches. It's been quite reliable."
"The API management is great."
"The ability to easily connect back to Service Fabric is the most important for us."
"Microsoft Azure API Management is a good, comprehensive solution for enterprise implementation."
"It is very secure, easy to manage, and easy to configure. It is a web-based API. Moreover, we get direct support from Oracle guys."
"The most valuable features for us are security and centralization."
"The security, the authentication, and the publishing qualities are great."
"The initial setup isn't overly difficult."

Cons

"The developer console for external users could be improved, especially in the testing site."
"Price is the first thing that comes to mind. It's quite expensive, which could be a barrier for some users."
"The documentation could be improved for the customer."
"Upgrading resources is very costly for us."
"Documentations for implementing certain product features are very difficult to find"
"In the API you need to delete the suffix. It is annoying that you need to have a suffix. We can add a suffix at the API level, not at the operation level, and that could be improved on."
"It would be better if it were easier to transition to Azure from JIRA. For example, different nomenclature must be performed when you shift to Azure from JIRA. JIRA's storage, tasks, and ethics are treated differently from Azure. Here they might become functions, which is not an option in JIRA because that nomenclature difference is there. If someone has to get into the nomenclature, then there can be different tasks from clients, and here, they may be treated as functions. JIRA has sub-tasks, but sub-tasks don't exist in Azure. The nomenclature and the linking between ethics and a function and a story are different, and people may have to learn to adapt to the new nomenclature."
"Technical support could be more flexible and try to meet the client's needs a bit more effectively."
"From an administration and developer point of view, the user interface and user experience are not great."
"Before gaining experience with the product, I found that it was not simple to use and things took longer to do than I had anticipated."
"We'd like it if they could reduce the cost without sacrificing on features."
"Oracle should actively seek feedback and tailor the approach to client needs. It shouldn't always be about pushing additional products."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is an expensive solution, but any API solution will be expensive."
"The price of the solution is reasonable compared to others."
"It costs around 30,000 Kronas a month, which translates to about $3,000 dollars monthly."
"Licensing fees are paid on an annual basis."
"Azure's pricing is very competitive compared to platforms like Apigee and MuleSoft."
"Azure is a pay-as-you-go model. You build out your virtual environment and pay a monthly price depending on CPU cores, storage, etc."
"We are paying standard fees to use Microsoft Azure API Management."
"Compared to other solutions the cost is a seven out of ten."
"Oracle is not a cheap solution and it is not affordable for all of our clients in Portugal."
