Influenced cost savings by approximately seventy to eighty percent
I have worked on multiple platforms in this space, like MuleSoft, Oracle, Intel, Microsoft, and Dell Boomi. However, Azure Logic Apps is the easiest and most transparent in terms of its operations, licensing cost, and scaling. Being in Azure, the use of the Azure ecosystem becomes quite native with Logic Apps.

The implementation cycle has been reduced significantly but has room for integration enhancements
Our existing customers who are on ECC are on-premises. They are migrating to SAP Cloud Platform, specifically on S4HANA.  One of our clients was on SAP ECC on-premises, and they are moving to the cloud on S4HANA on the public cloud system.  We are supporting about 15 customers, mostly small to…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I am impressed with the tool's UI and analytics."
"If there's something that isn't possible, you can write some code and call that code from a Logic App."
"It is a very stable solution."
"Its integration capabilities are great, allowing connectivity with various applications and services."
"Its notable advantage is its user-friendly UI, which allows easy testing."
"Connectors are very useful for streamlining data integration tasks."
"The Logic App's designer is one of the vital features"
"The product's initial setup phase is something that I don't think is complex because once we start using it, it becomes simple."
"The platform is extremely scalable."
"The solution can scale."
"We primarily utilize SAP's ERP capabilities."
"The HANA replications are very useful."
"The solution is scalable."
"The dashboard provides pretty good clarity."
"The ability to expand it whenever required has been great — it's very simple."
"The ability to build custom applications on the BTP platform, reducing customization on the SAP HANA system and improving performance and management."

Cons

"An area for improvement for Azure Logic Apps could be enhancing its ability to handle large datasets. When dealing with extensive data, we often have to use Azure Data Factory, which is mostly limited to scheduled jobs."
"A room for improvement in Microsoft Azure Logic Apps is that it's expensive. Every step is going to cost you money, so if someone is not doing the steps carefully, at the end of the day, it will cost a lot of money. Each time you execute a step, the cost will depend on how much you use Microsoft Azure Logic Apps, and how many workflow steps you have. Each time a step needs to be executed, there'll be a cost added to your bill. If the developer isn't careful with how he uses the solution, this can blow up the cost. What I'd like to see in the next release of Microsoft Azure Logic Apps is for the cost and security to be better."
"I find the current interface useful, but I could see how others would want the UI bits that are used for creating Logic Apps to be simplified."
"Standard documents are fine, but in certain situations, when facing specific errors or issues, partners or consumers expect customized solutions rather than just links to existing documents."
"The solution lacks sufficient connectors."
"An area of improvement I've encountered is related to the number of connectors available in Logic Apps. While there are many connectors, I found that the "send email" connector may not work as expected, and one has to rely on Office 365 plugins or other alternatives. This could enhance user experience, especially when considering the additional overhead and licensing requirements associated with Office 365. It also needs to improve security features."
"The main issue is performance, especially when dealing with large amounts of data. Performance-wise, that's the only thing Microsoft should focus on."
"Microsoft Azure Logic Apps is good for certain types of workloads, but it doesn't offer many customization options."
"Allowing more third-party applications to be integrated into the cloud platform would make it easier for customers to adopt SAP Cloud Platform."
"They are still developing this product. It does not really have 100% of the necessary features available to properly service business clients"
"Usability is a challenge most of the time and not being able to get all of the information."
"The tool's UI is not very intuitive for cloud integration, so it needs research to understand its options and how it may work."
"The areas I think this solution should improve are monitoring and adapting."
"In the next release, I would like to see improvements with the price and the licensing."
"The main problem is that there aren't any easy migrations from SAP PO to SAP CPI, so from process orchestration to cloud platform integration."
"One crucial aspect where SAP lags behind in flexibility is customization to suit specific business requirements. SAP needs to understand that customization is inevitable and should be more supportive of business-driven customization."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product is quite cheap."
"It is a cost-efficient platform."
"It's very cheap, but it comes with pluses and minuses. The positive thing is that it's very cheap, but on the other hand, it's extremely hard to tell how much it will cost. At the start of the project, it's almost impossible to tell how many times you will be calling some kind of Logic App function. You cannot state how much of the internet transfer you will use or how much data your will use."
"Logic Apps is cheap with its pay-as-you-go model. We only pay for usage time, no license fees. So Logic Apps is good in that aspect."
"The product pricing aligns well with the value and capabilities offered by Azure services."
"Compared to the prices of Mulesoft, the price of Microsoft Azure Logic Apps is low."
"The tool's cost can vary depending on your specific use case. Generally, it's considered cheaper, but the price depends on how much you use it and which features you need. Initially, there was a consumption-based pricing model, but now Microsoft offers a standard tier. Microsoft encourages users to migrate from the consumption model to the standard one by 2025. The pricing is a monthly fixed cost, depending on your usage needs."
"I rate Microsoft Azure Logic Apps's pricing a seven out of ten."
"The price of the solution depends on the package that is purchased. There are many packages to choose from. The packages are not overly expensive."
"I discovered that the SAP Cloud Platform is affordable, contrary to the impression that it's expensive. The pricing for extra packages or messages is quite reasonable, especially for things like message throughput and processing."
"The pricing can be negotiated."
"The product's pricing varies and depends on the customers' needs."
"SAP offers yearly, subscription-based, and pay-as-you-use licensing."
"SAP Cloud Platform Integration is an expensive product. I rate its pricing an eight out of ten."
"Licensing costs for this solution are based on the number of users and the bandwidth."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a nine out of ten."
