The connection between Power Apps and Power BI simplifies generating and presenting reports, alleviating the workload and enhancing productivity.
The aim is to create a cleaner interface to replace spreadsheets, thus standardizing processes and improving efficiency.
I have seen a return on investment with Zoho Creator because we eliminated a point of sale software that was charging us 5 lakhs per year across all 26 malls.
Using Zoho Creator is affordable for my business as it helps save time.
When considering overall cost-effectiveness and return on investment (ROI), I find that Zoho Creator is beneficial due to the solutions it offers.

Customer Service

Sentiment score
6.4
Microsoft Power Apps support varies; some users find it responsive, while others face inconsistency and rely on forums.
Sentiment score
4.9
Zoho Creator's customer service is responsive and effective, but complex issues and email responses can experience delays.
Their assistance was crucial as we developed the solutions.
Community support is closer to an eight or nine since there's a big enough community that someone has likely faced the same problem and posted about it, improving the community overall.
Microsoft's technical support is around a seven to eight.
I would rate the technical support 10 out of 10 because they provide excellent assistance.
Delays arise once the support team must refer to backend processes or developers, highlighting the need for enhancement in their overall support system.
I would rate technical support as a nine on a scale of 1 to 10.

Scalability Issues

Sentiment score
6.7
Opinions on Power Apps' scalability vary, with mixed views on data handling, licensing, performance, ease, and usage success.
Sentiment score
5.7
Zoho Creator's flexibility handles varying user needs but faces challenges with large data and rising costs.
If it is flexible and includes premium connectors, scalability is easy.
It is quite scalable, though there are some limitations regarding the number of records.
We are continuing to build on top of what was initially created for them, ensuring that scalability is never an issue as long as you understand how to utilize Zoho properly.
When my customers' needs are growing, Zoho Creator is able to adapt to these growing needs because it's a build-it-yourself application.
We cannot manage big data efficiently, struggling with managing 50K records or updating records from one to another due to issues such as runtime errors and API call limitations.

Stability Issues

Sentiment score
7.5
Microsoft Power Apps is stable and reliable, with occasional minor issues, handling processes effectively despite network-related challenges.
Sentiment score
6.3
Zoho Creator is stable and reliable, scoring high ratings despite minor issues, with improvements in the latest version.
I would rate the stability of Microsoft Power Apps as a nine out of ten.
You can't rely on any software in business if it's not going to be stable and reliable.
Offering versatile flexibility for various integrations, such as WhatsApp and email API integration.
I have created many ERP solutions on Zoho Creator, and they are all working reliably with maintained data integrity.

Room For Improvement

Microsoft Power Apps struggles with integration, user experience, high costs, licensing, and limitations in data handling and customization.
Zoho Creator needs UI and UX improvement, better integration, customization options, and enhanced performance for large datasets and automations.
This would assist business process users who lack coding knowledge.
These tools should be intuitive for business users who will need at least a week of training to use them effectively.
In many use cases, applications might require importing data exceeding two thousand records, potentially reaching one hundred thousand.
In terms of scalability, there are certain limitations if the data volume is large due to execution limits.
I want to see improvements in Zoho Creator focusing on AI capabilities because there currently seems to be very little AI usage in Zoho compared to the advancements in other software.
Improvement could come from the ability to implement and create custom dashboards or subforms in Zoho Creator.

Setup Cost

Microsoft Power Apps provides flexible pricing with discounts, offering cost-effective solutions with options from free to premium features.
Zoho Creator offers diverse subscription-based pricing, starting at INR 480 per user/month, potentially costly for larger user bases.
For small to medium enterprises, it is affordable, especially with Microsoft Enterprise licensing.
For more elaborate work, an upgrade to an enterprise license, costing around $35 per license, is needed.
It is in the middle range and considered reasonable given the current price.
Zoho offers customizable pricing options, such as Zoho One, which provides access to all 40 applications for 1250.
For INR, the standard cost is 480 per month, the professional tier is around 1,200, and the enterprise level is 1,500, based on the subscription level per user for Zoho Creator.
Pricing is a little on the higher side for the Indian market, especially for mid-sized and small-sized companies with 30 to 40 users.

Valuable Features

Microsoft Power Apps enables rapid, accessible app creation with seamless integration and customization, supporting both technical and non-technical users.
Zoho Creator offers flexible custom app development with low-code interface, extensive customization, strong integration, and multi-layered security features.
It integrates seamlessly with Power Automate for process automation and connects with email, SharePoint, Power BI, and MS Teams, facilitating everyday processes.
Canvas Apps provide complete user design flexibility with many connectors to integrate into Microsoft Power Apps, making it efficient to fetch and update information from various data sources such as Dataverse, Excel, SharePoint, and Azure.
I run a couple of SQL Servers, which are premium connectors in Microsoft Power Apps, and that requires a different licensing model than what a standard E5 license covers.
For analytics, we employ two tools: Zoho Creator itself and Zoho Analytics, where we can use SQL queries to fetch data from multiple platforms.
We can generate QR codes for free, whereas in CRM, QR generation requires external purchases.
The most valuable feature of Zoho Creator is that we can easily create applications because there is 360-degree flexibility available.

Building tools with user-friendly interfaces abut needs integration improvements
An integration of Copilot options within Microsoft Power Apps would be useful. In UiPath apps, there is an autopilot function that uses a generative AI model, which creates layouts and connects data services automatically with a prompt. Such integration would be beneficial to build basic frameworks that can be enhanced. This would assist business process users who lack coding knowledge.

User experience metadata and workflow customization have been streamlined
The creator needs improvement; for instance, if I create a widget that has dynamic data, it cannot get published. When we publish a page that contains a widget, dynamic data does not appear. That is the problem with Zoho Creator, so it needs improvement. The portal user aspect is also costly; for example, purchasing 250 portal users can be expensive for clients who require them monthly. It creates a financial burden similar to how customer logins on e-commerce websites such as Flipkart or Amazon are generally free. Thus, Zoho Creator needs to offer free access for all portal users as they are essential for the application's usage. In Zoho Creator, we cannot work on UI customization as expected; if I want an application resembling a Figma design, there are limitations on UI changes.
