Monitoring has transformed internet visibility and speeds up resolving external service issues
ThousandEyes needs to specify unit consumption forecasting or scaling testing and deeper app analytics. It needs deeper out-of-the-box Layer 7 code or database-level insights. Additionally, it should unify the GUI with broader Cisco platforms and flatten the learning curve, adding better correlation with local laptop system metrics such as endpoint depth, CPU, RAM, or processes. ThousandEyes isn't designed to be a full-blown SNMP monitoring tool for on-premises infrastructure. While it tracks network paths effectively, it doesn't provide deep local device telemetry such as switch port buffer utilization, fan status, or power supply health. For full internal device monitoring, you'll still need to pair it with traditional tools such as SolarWinds or Cisco Catalyst Center.

Pros

"If you are looking for a solid solution that can be easily deployed then I'd recommend considering Netfort solutions."
"Our CIO asked us to track down the source of undesired uploads, which trigger e-mails received by outside bodies regarding what they refer to as "copyright violations", and Languardian was the most efficient and effective tool for the job."
"The installation process is not hard at all."
"Another best part is that it gives us where the loss is coming from."
"ThousandEyes positively impacts our organization by flagging issues immediately, which helps us reduce downtime whenever we seize or acknowledge the alerts."
"The most valuable aspect of the solution was the ability to see how the connection quality is between the sites and get an alert if it was turning bad."
"<p>ThousandEyes is an excellent product that really provides accurate metrics into network performance as well as the user experience, and I would highly recommend it.</p>"
"My favorite feature is that we were able to see everything on a map."
"<p>ThousandEyes offers the best features including global internet and cloud visibility from distributed vantage points, application and network performance monitoring, real-time outage detection and incident alerts, end-to-end path visualization for rapid troubleshooting, proactive issue demarcation, and historical data.</p>"
"The features I like the most about ThousandEyes are the visualizations that let you see how the call flow went and how many hops it took and everything."

Cons

"Sure, at the time we bought the product, the GUI and graphs/reports/pie charts etc ... were not fully developed."
"It takes a long time to load results. I think it would be great if they fix the slowness issue in the next release."
"More detailed documentation explaining the metrics and the testing mechanisms would be helpful."
"It's an expensive solution."
"ThousandEyes could improve the dashboards by adding more features."
"Regarding the user interface, I appreciate dropdowns, but I prefer a guided experience where the interface explains itself instead of requiring extensive searching to reach a point."
"Regarding needed improvements, I think the user interface could be better. It is sometimes a little confusing and should be very user-friendly, including a guide for how alerts are configured to assist first-time users."
"The solution's network and reporting could be improved."
"I think ThousandEyes can be improved, specifically the licensing model."
"Cisco is the standard for anyone wanting something good, the problem with it is the cost and that means that it's not accessible to many smaller companies."
